Went exclusively to this McDonald's because they had the full "The Afters Meal." Other locations didn't have the Nite Sprite which I really wanted to try. The Afters Meal includes the Nite Sprite, a junior chicken and a poutine. The drink was a let down as it just tasted like Sprite. Not worth it because it didn't taste amazing and they just add syrup to Sprite. As for the food, it was alright. The junior chicken was good pretty usual, but the poutine was bad. The gravy was bitter and didn't taste good at all. As for the environment, the space was bright and clean. I really enjoyed the table service they have here. Surprisingly it was super busy at 10pm. I like this McDonald restaurant. It wasn't like regular fast food restaurants that this one had added some different elements. For example, there are big screens or computers that kids could play games on screens, that's touchscreen; the pictures were sprayed on the wall; the kid's high chair was cleaned and wrapped up by the plastic wrap with napkins and utensils inside. At the back of the restaurant, base on some privacy, they have the tables with a board to separate or avoid the crowds. This location was really thoughtful. I tried a few items from the International Menu Heist and it was a fun little detour from the usual menu, though not everything lived up to the hype. Teriyaki Chicken Sandwich (Japan) - Great flavour, but way too much sauce. The teriyaki glaze was sweet and savoury, but it made the sandwich super messy. McPizza Bites (Italy) - Disappointing. You only get 4 small pieces, and they were doughy with not a lot of filling. I paid an extra $0.50 for the garlic mayo-style sauce, but it wasn't anything special, kind of bland and not really worth the extra charge. Biscoff McFlurry (Belgium) - A nice treat. Creamy soft-serve mixed with crunchy Biscoff cookie bits. Sweet and well-balanced. Definitely enjoyable if you're in the mood for something different. Overall, I like the idea behind the International Menu Heist, but the execution was hit-or-miss. The Biscoff McFlurry is good, the Teriyaki Chicken is worth a try but I'd probably skip the McPizza Bites (and that garlic mayo) next time. read more

It's been years, decades even, since I've had a McRib sandwich. I recently ordered a combo, maybe out of a sense of nostalgia. Honestly, I was a bit disappointed. It wasn't terrible but it wasn't great. I found the texture of the meat a bit odd, although I can't pinpoint why. Flavourwise, I much prefer a Big Mac. Food aside, there has never been anything special or extraordinary about the service at McDonalds, until today. There was a mishap at the table next to me, nobody's fault, nothing serious, just a spill of a large hot beverage. One staff member in particular, was exceptional in the way she handled the situation, making sure the customer was okay, ushering him to another table, replacing his drink, safeguarding the spill site, and then cleaning it up. She even cleared my table when I was finished! I should have gotten her name. She deserves some recognition. Kudos to the staff and leadership of this location. For years, I have been driving along highway 48 and blew past this McDonald's. It wasn't until I was on a mission to collect Squishmallows that I dropped by this location. This McD's is located in a plaza just north of 16th Avenue, on the east side of Markham Road. There is a set of lights where you can turn in. I used the drive-thru. The exterior looked pretty with cheerful plants and a welcoming entrance. I'll need to walk in and check out whether the interior matches the exterior. I had an equally cheerful man take my order. I got a happy meal with a hamburger, mini fries, strawberry yogurt, and a Dasani water. I also got a McDouble. I paid for everything through the McD's app. I got my food fairly fast. There was a person ahead of me. I thanked the man who gave me my order and parked to eat. I enjoyed everything. My mini fries were lightly salted and yummy. I enjoyed my hamburger. I liked the tiny onions on this burger. My McDouble was more substantial with the cheese and beef patties. Everything hit the spot and stopped my hunger pangs. It's torture going back here. Why do I do it???? It's hard to name a positive. Food on colder side, inside service is debatable if it's called service, DT can be close to getting an oil change done at one of those quick lube places. Extra/Extra onions is regular onions. Dining room is dirty most times. No ketchup with fries in the bag. Most times no napkins. Then there is that awful paper straw. I don't do that so it's tossed. We took a nice long break from this location. My last review was 3+ years ago and sadly this location is still one big hot mess. We no longer order any delivery because we just find ourselves driving over to get what we ordered because there is always something missing or incorrect in the order. I can stand there at the counter repeating my order 3x and confirming and still get cheese when I ask for none, dbl pickles when I ask for no pickles, wrong sandwiches and old nuggets. Keep an eye on your drinks if you order breakfast - they love upsizing the orange juice without asking and also charge you more for it. This has happened at least 2 dozen times in the course of 2.5 years of orders - another reason why we stopped once again going to this location. One of the managers is always yelling and shouting at staff, very awkward to witness. As a manager she can talk discretely to her staff and not have a public spectacle take place while customers are waiting for food, eating or trying to place an order. For the longest time, the smoothie machine was not working - all Summer actually. Good job advertising deals on summer drinks and then not getting the machine fixed. Then they had no nuggets and and some of the chicken products could not be ordered, but I could order those same items at the McCowan location and every other location i went to. Still not able to make decent fries at this location, they are always dry, very light In colour and COLD. And PLEASE a stop adding a salad of lettuce on the sandwiches and drowning them with mayo! We always have to check every single item before we leave and then there are still problems with the orders. Extremely high turnaround of staff at this location and clearly no management guidance, support or training. The last straw - my oldest found a strand of black hair in her chicken snack wrap sandwich one week ago. I called 6x and nobody picked up the phone. Went in the next day, no apology just offered an apple pie. The manager was too busy yelling at the staff again, I got tired of waiting and left. Hit and Miss!! I've been to this location on Hwy 48 near No Frills in the Northern Markham area several times in the past. I used to live in the Greensboro area, and this location was my go-to for McCafe items as it's open 24 hours. I have occasionally eaten inside this location but on this trip, it was the first time since COVID hit us that I actually went inside to order and eat. I had a promo item on my Mcdonald's iPhone app for a Big Mac Combo. I hadn't had a Big Mac in years, since they seemed to have gotten smaller and smaller over the years. The drive-thru was extremely busy and always is at this location hence my decision to go inside. The wait at the counter wasn't that long and the only thing I asked for was 'well-done' fries. I like my fires a little crispy and piping hot and most other Mcdonald's locations in the past have accommodated my request. The transaction went smoothly and the young teenager at the counter was friendly. I was sure she understood my request for 'well-done' fries. As I waited for my order, I was looking around for a place to sit, as most of the tables were full. I noticed the big counters by the Soda Dispenser were messy with used napkins etc. all over the table. I waited about 6-7 minutes for my food, which was no big deal as you can watch your order on the big display near the counter. I got my meal and went to the soda dispenser and got my drink. Still, no one had come to clean the table. There was no available 'Clean' tables so I had to eat in my car. My fries were not 'well-done' and fresh, they were actually lukewarm and a bit soggy. It was only 2-3 minutes from the time they put my order on the counter to pick up and for me to get to my car. That in itself was disappointing, hence one star lost. The other star was lost due to the cleanliness of the restaurant despite it being fully staffed. My Big Mac was oversauced and a pain in the butt to eat as gooey pieces of my burger kept falling off the burger itself. I know they pump out massive quantities of off food per day and yes, it's a busy location, but the oversaucing of the food, the fact that they missed my special request which other Mcdonald's have done for me and the cleanliness resulted in three stars. There is always room for improvement but due to the volume of daily customers, and how busy it is at peak times, it looks like some quality issues are occurring. Will I be back? Yes as it's one of my go-to's when I'm in the area, and usually I don't have these issues. There's also a Harveys just south of the Mcdonald's location, so I have options. I've very impressed with the interior of this McDonald's.  It has been recently renovated with a modern interior, designed with the pandemic in mind. The exterior looks nice but the interior has a few surprises. There isn't much to say about the food since it was as expected at all McDonald's. This restaurant is open 24 hours a day and has a 2-window drive-thru. There are self-order kiosks and a self-serve drink machine (not used during the pandemic). They have a large parking lot with many spots reserved for a staff member to deliver your order to your car (curb-side pickup). The interior is well-lit and clean. The tables and chairs are a modern design. Tables are more than 2 metres apart but where they aren't, there plexiglass dividing them. Where I was most impressed is a rectangular hole cut out of a wall showing another seating area. There are different tables and different seats (benches, stools, low-back chairs, and high-back chairs). The drive-thru seems extremely busy and many reviews confirm that it is busy most of the time. Went through the drive thru for some breakfast. Was quick and painless. Staff was friendly and not too busy either. Drive Thru menu was catered for breakfast and they had a second speaker for ordering if it got busier. The food itself was great!!! I got a sausage McMuffin with two hash browns and a medium double double. All for about $8. This review is based solely on my experiences with McDonald's & orders from Uber Eats. I haven't given fast food spots many reviews on here, just the ones i've been to multiple times. I have family that lives in the area and once a week or every 2 weeks, we order from McDonald's. The delivery through Uber Eats is great! Keeping track via the app, we always see that when they leave the restaurant the food is brought over promptly. The issue is the restaurant! Where do i start? Missing items, dirty food containers, wrong orders. We provide feedback through the Uber Eats app and there is no accountability for any wrong doings! We were also instructed to call & confirm orders when we order. Sure, that works, but they NEVER answer the phone at this location. Very frustrating and annoying! After ordering 5-6 times and them only getting things right once, we no longer order from them anymore. Nobody provides the missing items, or corrects the wrong orders. That's so ridiculous and i've never heard of such a thing! I also used to stop by this location on my way home for a quick bite when i worked late or in the mornings for a quick coffee. No better in person. There are around 10-12 people working there and none of them know what the heck they are doing! It is so unorganized and a complete mess inside! TL;DR: If you don't mind wasting 20 minutes of your life waiting for curbside pickup of a mobile order for ONE item (which isn't even prepared correctly), then this is the place for you. I understand that McDonald's is fast food, and barely even that really, but there still are bare minimum standards. I placed a mobile order for ONE Big Mac, and chose curbside pickup (there were a lot of cars waiting in the drive through as per usual, and line out the door for in person orders). It took a full twenty minutes for someone to come out with my one burger - I don't think it's unrealistic when I say that I think it restaurants were open for dine-in at this time, I would have been able to get a made-to-order gourmet burger in this timeframe. So much for "fast" food... Then I get home and realize that there the burger wasn't even prepared correctly - I didn't want any lettuce on my Big Mac. Both my receipt and the attached order slip said "no shredded lettuce." So now not only have I waited twenty minutes for one burger from a "fast food restaurant," but it also turns out that it wasn't even the burger I ordered. QA is obviously not something that McDonald's prides themselves on, but at the minimum, I would expect the person preparing the burger to be able to read right? read more

Pretty blessed location still. There's this Chinese guy with glasses that works there, I think he's named Jacky or something? Super cool dude, definitely deserves a raise and promotion. Sick guy. Also these three managers are the best: Michael, Eli and Kiffan. (They can be found Saturdays and Sundays usually in the morning or Night) Food is lit cause it's Mcds. Normally I don't rate fast food but this McDonald has given me a lot of headache and bad experience. I buy coffee from drive thru almost everyday before heading to work. However I could say 3 of 10 times they gave me a wrong order. Each time I have to check and when I tell the drive thru staff. They don't even care and just give me back without apologizing. I heard today the staff who makes coffee order wants to argue back but the other staff shut the window. I never had good experience with this McDonalds. Nothing really to say about the food here. Mcds is mcds. Consistent with the other franchises around the world. However, I believe this McDonalds location has a problem with their drive-thru. Although there are 2 speakers to order food from, it seems like only the second one takes orders. This makes the line go twice as slow. I think if this issue was fixed then they would be seeing more business as more people would continue to use their drive thru. This is a problem as you can see other people have had similar issues with the drive thru and some choosing not to return because of this. read more

No real complaints about this location. People at the cashier tend to be pretty pleasant and always get my order right. The food's consistent too. But it's McDonald's so don't expect much more than that. This location tends to attract a lot of high school students from Brother André and they aren't always totally respectful of the people that work there, which is a bit of a shame. Two guys in particular were horsing around the other day and I'm pretty thankful that the manager kicked them out. Also, expect this place to be busy at lunch time - though the staff keep things running pretty smoothly. If you like the toys they sometimes put out, keep in mind that since this location's pretty central to the area, they will run out (happened frequently with the minions collection that my girlfriend wanted). This place actually got renovated a year or two ago and it looks ten times better than it did before. So not only does it look better, it's usually pretty clean. I find this location to be a lot slower than other McDonald's. The drive thru always seems to take awhile and there's always a wait inside. This is one of the few McDonald's I like. I can tell that the staff is well managed, and everyone is efficient. Staff is also friendly (e.g., sometimes they wouldn't charge me for french fries dipping sauce, and they let me reuse my coupons). They take my survey responses and opinions seriously and improve on it. The only thing I don't like is how their drive-thru is short and the parking lot is crowded, but at least they make up for it with efficiency. read more
