To start the tiramisu cookies had wonderful coffee flavor, and the fresh, creamy frosting paired nicely. The chocolate chip cookies were soft, chewy, and had chocolate woven throughout. One of the best I've had! The olive cakes were good, well backed and had a delicate flavor. However, we weren't the biggest fans of the thyme flavor, but that's just our preference. The focaccia was deliciously savory, the toppings paired well with the bread without overtaking its flavor. Lastly, the showstopper, was the cinnamon roll. It was next level good, and I dare say the best I've ever had. The roll itself was soft, buttery, and full of cinnamon spice. The frosting was perfect, creamy with a delicate cream cheese flavor. I know I'm going to be craving it in the future. On top of the delicious baked goods, the interior was clean and had welcoming vibe. The employees were kind and helpful. The price for everything was $58, which makes sense with how expensive groceries are nowadays. And you're supporting a small, locally owned business. Still, this place made the trip worthwhile and I enjoyed a nice hot chocolate (and complimentary Halloween-themed shortbread cookie!). The barista was pleasant and answered our questions about the environs. We only checked out the bookstore section briefly though it did have an excellent selection, and even had a typewriter set up for aspiring typists to play around with. As a typewriter owner, it's always cool to see opportunities for the next generation to get a chance to work with these machines (if only so they can appreciate how much easier word processors are when it comes to editing!)
