My meal and water in a Mason jar.

While traveling, I searched for dinner near the hotel. Emily was pleasant and informed me she was new, so I tried not to burden her with many questions. She was a great server and kept my beverage refilled and updates on my meal. This local place touts farm to table fare and changes their menu and specials often, so don't have your heart set on something from the menus posted on Yelp. Great decor for the bistro feel. I enjoyed their signature dish, hot n sticky chicken, served over jasmine rice, and crispy Brussels Sprouts. It was topped with diced, thick cut bacon and slices of their housemade Pickles, which were bread and butter to start with a crispy spice at the end. I liked them they complemented the dish well. The rice was sticky, a hint of sweet and addictive. The chicken was coated with what I would guess a cornmeal breading. It gave the chicken a hard crunchy outside, with tender meat inside. Some pieces were almost dry but still edible and aptly seasoned. The side house salad was a clear winner with mixed baby greens and fresh diced tomatoes. Cucumber slices, sliced mushrooms, and sliced carrots made it colorful and appealing. The lemon herb vinaigrette was tasty. If bottled, I'd buy it. I enjoyed the raspberry white chocolate cheesecake to finish the meal. Ample portions, so I took half the meal home. I'd eat here again.

We were in town for a quick trip and this place was well recommended. Has a unique and fun ambiance, portions were generous, and the food was really good. Unfortunately the service was lack luster, but overall, it was good.

    Tiny pancake

Hip, cool ambience. Tried the breakfast for first time today. The omelette was perfection! Great flavors and nicely prepared. Ordered a single side pancake- definitely do not recommend $2.00 and it was tiny! Otherwise we had friendly service and enjoyed the brunch!

This place is absolutely divine - Friendly Staff, Fresh & Locally Sourced Food and Tasty Dishes & Pairings. It's quaint but cozy and inviting. Always ask about the specials - I enjoyed the Avocado Hash this time around and it is solidly in top 5 breakfasts I've ever had in my life. Thick hand-cut bacon, fresh mixed diced potatoes hash, sharp white cheddar, perfectly cooked egg and house made crem freche drizzle w/ sliced avocado on the side. We will return and continue to frequent this jewel of a place.

    Dry fried chicken biscuits

Atmosphere is great. Service is average. I got the fried chicken biscuits: horrible. The chicken was so dry I could barely eat it. The biscuits were also dry. The only thing that was good was the side of sweet potatoes. I also ordered the butter coffee. It came in a large metal jug and for some reason that threw me off. I could have churned my own butter in that jug. It was also a lot of coffee (don't get me wrong we all love big portions) but I felt the coffee should have been presented in a different cup. I know it sounds crazy, but trust me on this one. The metal impacted the coffee flavor. Did i mention the coffee was average? Well it was. Would I go back there again? Probably not. It's an OK spot. I was just expecting a lot for the amount of stars this place has. Never the less, I hope you still end up going and making your own judgments :) btw the pic looks better than the food lol

Chicken Sammy with loaded rice. YUM!!

This APP will be updated soon....but for the record: they do have two TVs, they have craft beer and a few liquors, they have a great wait staff!! The chicken Sammy with loaded rice. It was VERY good and portions were so large I couldn't finish the whole plate! The wait staff is really awesome!! We will be back.

    Burnt inedible fried chicken bites

I've ate breakfast here before and it was wonderful. This is my first dinner experience and it was horrific. My daughter's meatloaf was dry and my fried chicken bites were inedible.

Best pork chop I've ever had. Juicy and full of flavor. The sauce was perfect for the chop.

Food is very good & the various musicians are great! But beware of the lead bartender; he can be a jerk. Even the owner is afraid of him!

Bruno's Spotted Hare is fantastic…read more I stopped by recently with a family member while visiting, having heard good initial things about this restaurant. The space is gorgeous; it has the dark coziness of a lodge with beautiful, wild-inspired accents. We were seated in a booth near the window: the booth was comfortable but may be a tight squeeze if two larger adults are sitting on the same side (I'd recommend asking for a table in that case). I started off with an American Trilogy cocktail and loved it; it was surprisingly smooth and easy to drink while being flavorful. We debated appetizer options but went with the sourdough bread and butters. The butters were rosemary, garlic, and sorghum, and while all were great, the sorghum was a favorite. The bread was flavorful and nicely chewy. I'm always happy to see a vegetarian-friendly soup on a menu, so I ordered the beans and greens soup and loved it. It has a very deep flavor, yet the beans weren't overly mushy. The server (who was amazing) recommended some Tabasco for adding heat, which I enjoyed. For entrées, my dining partner got the fried chicken on the server's recommendation, and I got the mushroom pasta. The fried chicken was described by my relative as a crunchy coating with a moist meat; they called it "the best fried chicken" they've had. I tasted the mashed potatoes and can happily vouch for them, as they were creamy and perfectly seasoned. My dining partner raved about the home-style green beans, too. My mushroom pasta was fantastic. The mushrooms were cooked perfectly and were flavorful without being slimy or mushy. The pasta was hearty and cooked al dente. As a pleasant surprise. I got a couple slices of bread with my pasta, too; this time topped with some cheese and seasoning. It was perfect for soaking up the last bits of pasta sauce, as I cleaned my plate. I got dessert to go; it was the cornmeal pound cake and packaged conveniently (with the ice cream separate). It was delicious even at home; the cake itself wasn't too sweet, meaning that the combination of it, the ice cream, and the honey had a perfect balance of flavor. I will try to make a special trip here whenever I'm in the area. It's a beautiful, special addition to the local dining scene.
