While traveling, I searched for dinner near the hotel. Emily was pleasant and informed me she was new, so I tried not to burden her with many questions. She was a great server and kept my beverage refilled and updates on my meal. This local place touts farm to table fare and changes their menu and specials often, so don't have your heart set on something from the menus posted on Yelp. Great decor for the bistro feel. I enjoyed their signature dish, hot n sticky chicken, served over jasmine rice, and crispy Brussels Sprouts. It was topped with diced, thick cut bacon and slices of their housemade Pickles, which were bread and butter to start with a crispy spice at the end. I liked them they complemented the dish well. The rice was sticky, a hint of sweet and addictive. The chicken was coated with what I would guess a cornmeal breading. It gave the chicken a hard crunchy outside, with tender meat inside. Some pieces were almost dry but still edible and aptly seasoned. The side house salad was a clear winner with mixed baby greens and fresh diced tomatoes. Cucumber slices, sliced mushrooms, and sliced carrots made it colorful and appealing. The lemon herb vinaigrette was tasty. If bottled, I'd buy it. I enjoyed the raspberry white chocolate cheesecake to finish the meal. Ample portions, so I took half the meal home. I'd eat here again. read more

OMG! What a wonderful find. Just moved to WV from San Diego and Yelp came through. Came here for brunch and had a simple eggs, bacon and sausage. Honestly it was the best I have ever had. The bacon and sausage were amazing, and were made in house. Thick bacon, flavored and probably a hint of honey. The sausage was extremely flavorful. Sat at the bar and the staff was friendly as were the locals. I must come back asap which is my standard for a 5 star, I want to come back before I leave. Nice quaint atmosphere in a strip mall. From the pork chop with cherry jalapeno glaze over cheddar mashed potatoes, fried rice with pork, not-cho's (yes that is the correct spelling), chicken strips with panko breading, homemade chips, and more. Of all restaurants in Hurricane, this is by far one of my favorites! Always serving up delicious meals. I've never once had a bad experience in my many times eating here and in their old location. The Hurricane Hash is my favorite breakfast item and for dinners I always enjoy seeing what their specials are. I really enjoy the ever changing special menu items, so it's never just the same old stuff all the time. Great servers and the owners are very friendly people as well. I really miss eating here more often now that I've moved to FL but it's most certainly the number 1 place I will eat at when visiting the area. read more

First time eating at Bridge Cafe & Bistro tonight and it was amazing!! The whole family (even my picky child) loved it. My husband finished his plate, which he never does. I wish I had taken pictures but it smelled too good to wait any longer. We had the filet which was seasoned and cooked to perfection. I thought it couldn't get any better until I tasted my husband's pork chop. The gravy/glaze melted in my mouth, I hear the mashed potatoes were wonderful as well. Cannot wait to go back, farm fresh truly does make a difference. Bonus: we didn't feel overly full & disgusting when we left either...that place is a gem . Also the service was . Then the cheesecake (banana & cookies and cream) we took home was gone within the hour. Cannot say enough good things about our experience! read more

Always ask about the specials - I enjoyed the Avocado Hash this time around and it is solidly in top 5 breakfasts I've ever had in my life. Atmosphere is great. Service is average. I got the fried chicken biscuits: horrible. The chicken was so dry I could barely eat it. The biscuits were also dry. The only thing that was good was the side of sweet potatoes. I also ordered the butter coffee. It came in a large metal jug and for some reason that threw me off. I could have churned my own butter in that jug. It was also a lot of coffee (don't get me wrong we all love big portions) but I felt the coffee should have been presented in a different cup. I know it sounds crazy, but trust me on this one. The metal impacted the coffee flavor. Did i mention the coffee was average? Well it was. Would I go back there again? Probably not. It's an OK spot. I went to eat here months ago and staff were not adhering to masking requirements from the health department. This puts patrons at risk. I would recommend that any possible diners google this restaurant and their current pending legal action against the state. The food is good, but it's not worth risking anyone's health over. As a food junkie, I'm not impressed with the meals I've had. Everyone suggests "sticky chicken" My opinion: Just ok and not good enough to get again. Ventured off from the "best" and got the meatloaf sandwich, again, just ok. General consensus from the masses: Brussels sprouts are not great, and most plates are "missing something." I like the fries and others say the pickles are good. The reason for this review is more of a specific staffing issue: Jacy poured/served several beers. I spoke up and brought the 3/4 glass pour observation. Instead of topping it off, I had a long explanation of how "that's how our machine pours." I was then told that "the glasses are bigger because of that specific reason." When asked what the glass size was she could not respond, walked away, and had no apology. This was very upsetting and not good business. I think most customers appreciate a full beer and not 3/4 with 1/4 foam. Not a fan of the response or service tonight. Food, again, ok. I love being one to support local business, but when asked about service/food, I'm one to speak up and give an honest assessment. New to hurricane West Virginia, my husband and I had heard about bridge. We are delighted with the atmosphere the service and especially the quality of the food! My husband had the ribeye steak which was cooked to perfection, and I had chicken fried rice with vegetables and had enough for lunch the next day. If you love coffee this is the place to go. Butter and coffee sounds odd I get it, but give it a shot and you'll never go back to starsucks. They also have MCT oil options with coffee too if you like your coffee a little sweeter. Burgers are great here too. Great place to stop and enjoy a nice coffee and meal. Adorable little cafe serving up down home bites and fantastic coffee by the friendliest of employees in a relaxed, welcoming environment just off the highway making it a perfect pit stop on a road trip. While we only tried the coffee, it was fantastic! I asked them to choose for me their favorite and while I didn't know before I sipped half of it while waiting to pay and doing restroom runs with the kiddos, not really paying close attention to the color, it was a butter coffee! Say what?! Butter in coffee?! While I don't do dairy laden butter, this interesting cup of joe was pretty darn ridiculous tasting....I must admit. (My tummy did pay for it later though. Whomp whomp) The guys were awesome and even made my flushed cheeked little ladies cups of ice water to go on a hot day without me having to ask. So nice. I gave 2 Stars because the people I had dinner with enjoyed their meals. I ordered the Blackened Chicken Alfredo. The visual wasn't pleasing, neither was the taste. It was bland, the chicken was rubbery and the veggie medley was salad with raw carrots and broccoli, on top of the spaghetti noodles and chicken. What I wasn't aware of when I located this place on a Google search was the employees did not wear masks, any of them. During COVID-19, I thought this was odd and risky, and didn't notice until after food was ordered. You have to go to the counter to order your items and pre-pay at that time. This is also when you tip, which is also odd, since you've tipped and you've told the people how to serve you. I did a 20% tip, but didn't really see that service reflected. We also ordered a cheesecake brownie, that was the best part of my meal, but still dry. Honestly, the bottle of wine was the best part of the meal. I had really high expectations of this place and was looking forward to it. I used to live in Hurricane, and moved away many years ago to another state in larger city. When I learned a farm to table place was in the area, I wanted to give it a go. I don't see myself ever really needing to return. read more

I've literally spent the last 3 years of my life traveling the world while temporarily living in Las Vegas - the fine dining capital of the world with some stellar cuisine. Cozy little spot - address makes it hard for GPS to find (it's across Midland Trail, not on Putnam Ave). Food was very tasty! Try the carnitas!!! Seriously tender. If you eat in, grab a table, then walk up to the counter to order. Breakfast is only until 11, then it's the lunch menu. I got the carnitas platter with steamed greens and potato wedges. The greens - Swiss chard - were decent, though could have used a bit of seasoning. The potatoes were very tasty. And I can't rave about the carnitas enough! My mom got a beef stew which was excellent - not very soupy; just the right amount of broth! Dad got the pot roast, and it was perfect - the big danger with pot roast is it being too salty, and this was just right. There is limited seating, and it is a bit hard to find. The food probably won't be for every taste - it's a little trendy for the area. Some of the seats looked pretty uncomfortable as well (rope chairs were a bit weird...) but overall, this is a nice little spot. This is my absolute favorite restaurant in the area! The service is excellent with friendly crew members who treat customers like friends and family! Although the restaurant is a little tough to find if you don't know where to look, the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. The food is always delicious, healthy, and made from ingredients sourced from local farms and vendors, which means it helps the local community and economy. And the coffee... wow... I can guarantee you will not find coffee like this anywhere else. It's no Starbucks... and that's the point! read more

Disappointed. Service being seated was good and the host was attentive. Ambience is industrial but clean. Unfortunately that's when it went down hill. Ordering mimosas, we received a Mason jar full of ice with a "orange juice substitute with lemonade with a topper of champagne". That is NOT a mimosa. It tasted artificial and nothing like what this classic drink is supposed to be. If Bridge wanted to make this your own version, it was a total failure. Undrinkable. We asked the server how much this drink cost and she didn't know. Really? Ordered a soft drink but in all my days of being in this business, they had no soft drinks to offer. If you don't want fountain drinks served at your restaurant, at least you can do is offer it by the bottle, I.e. 16 oz. My wife ordered the Hurricane Hash - the eggs were cooked well and the red sauce drizzled over it was good but unfortunately the hash was very overdone. I ordered the biscuits & gravy. Biscuits were decent but the gravy was a little sweet for my taste and it definitely tasted like it was made with overly processed ingredients, especially the "butter" which tasted very synthetic. My wife pushed away the mimosa after that and ordered a sweet tea. By this time we were ready to get the heck outta there. We asked for the check. We got the check faster than we got the iced tea. We were charged for the tea without receiving one. Ultimately we figuratively ran screaming from this "restaurant" and as for myself, I WILL NEVER BE BACK! Good luck to y'all.
