I am writing this review because this was not just a bad customer service moment, it was a clear leadership and training issue that should be addressed by ownership or district management. We stopped at this McDonald's on June 21, 2026, around 5:37 a.m. The posted information showed that the drive-thru opened at 5:00 a.m., while the lobby opened at 6:00 a.m. Since we were there before the lobby opened, we went through the drive-thru expecting to be able to place a simple breakfast order. After waiting at the drive-thru with no acknowledgment, we had to knock on the window just to get someone's attention. When the employee finally came to the window, she immediately seemed irritated, dismissive, and unwilling to help. We asked if we were able to order, and she told us no, saying they had come in late and that the lobby opened at 6:00 a.m. We clarified that we were not trying to enter the lobby, we were at the drive-thru, which was supposed to be open at 5:00 a.m. Her response was that they had come in late and that there was no food ready anyway. What made this experience worse was not simply that food was unavailable. Things happen. Employees run late, opening can be delayed, and customers can understand that when it is communicated respectfully. The issue was the attitude, the lack of professionalism, and the complete absence of accountability. When we asked for her name, because she was wearing a McDonald's zip-up hoodie with no visible name tag, she refused and said, "I don't have to give you my name." She then stated that she was a manager and repeated that she did not have to provide her name. The employee appeared to be a young blonde female manager working the opening shift. For someone identifying herself as a manager, this was extremely disappointing. A manager sets the tone for the store. If this is how management communicates with customers, especially during a basic service issue, it raises serious concerns about how the rest of the staff is being trained and led. This could have been handled very differently. A simple, respectful explanation such as, "I apologize, we opened late this morning and breakfast is not ready yet. We should be ready closer to 6:00," would have completely changed the interaction. Instead, we were met with irritation, refusal, and defensiveness. This location needs more than a reminder about customer service. It needs a teachable moment around leadership, accountability, communication, and basic professionalism. Customers should not have to knock on a window during posted drive-thru hours, be spoken to rudely, be denied service without a respectful explanation, and then have a manager refuse to identify herself. I hope the franchise owner or district management reviews this situation, including who was managing the opening shift that morning, and uses it as a training opportunity. Managers should be equipped to handle delays and customer questions with respect, not hostility. This experience left us without food and with a very negative impression of this location. read more

This Mc Donald's is conveniently located across from the travel plaza I went to for gas. I don't like to make many stops on road trips, so I had my daughter get food while we were here. We ordered from the drive thru. We were the only customers present at the time and the food still took way longer than when we order at other locations. I don't like fast food so I only tasted a fry, and I'd say, there usually saltier. The cashier looked like she was forcing herself to be friendly when my sister commented on her shirt. I get the vibe, she doesn't want extra contact with customers. If my daughter didn't love Mc Donald's fries, we wouldn't ever come here. read more

Was in a long drive trip via I-80 and stopped over for some food. Vanilla shake and cheeseburger combination never disappoints, and this store was terrific! The staff were friendly and accommodating. The place was empty at the time because it was off peak, but definitely a lot of space to dine in. The restroom was clean although the stalls were pretty tight. Food was good but....I ordered at the register and I asked for two medium sized drinks with our food. We always were given the cups so we could fill them with our choice of flavors and ice. I asked for the cups and was told that they would have to be bought out with the order. We waited and then the meal was delivered to our table and the cups were filled with regular cola which I didn't ask for and I need to have diet drinks. I asked if the fountain was working and it was but they said they don't give the cups anymore because they changed the policy! What, When, Why??? That is their choice and we will make ours as well! We always stop at McDonald's on our long trips since the restrooms tend to be clean. I have to commend the Mifflinville McDonald's on being very clean and the staff working the early morning shift provided the friendliest experience we've ever had at a McDonald's. The food is standard for their chain, but the staff is top notch! read more

My family was on a road trip and stopped here for breakfast. Placed a huge order, and although the order had a few errors, the staff quickly and politely fixed everything. We were missing a sandwich and a hashbrown, and they were even nice enough to give it to us at no charge. Completely unexpected kindness!! Thank you for making this such a positive experience. It's a McDonald's. Why review a McDonald's? Only because this one is worse than your average McDonald's. Bathroom was gross. Someone needs to be cleaning that area regularly, and they aren't. Fries were way, way, way saltier than normal. Almost made them inedible. Except I had hours to drive and I was hungry. So I ate them anyway. Damn you, McDonald's fries! Horrible service. My boyfriend and I were looking for some place quick. Went here and the employees were very rude. Not only the fact they were not polite, they didn't listen to a word we said while ordering. Got sanwhiches with whatever they wanted on it and drinks were nowhere near what we asked. Ordered things separately so I could use the rewards on my app for my free milkshake. Kid rang it up wrong. I pointed it out at the window. He asked manager to change it and scanned my app. It still charged me for the milkhake as well as took my free one. Plus he wouldnt give me my receipt. My 4-H group and I have been road tripping from Ohio, to Washington DC, to New York, NY and we have stopped many places along the way. Most people are more than accommodating and eager to talk to such a kind group of young travelers, much like the cashier Lynda was at this McDonalds. She was kind and patient and made sure that she was understanding our order clearly so we could get our food and get back on the road. The manager Lex on the other hand, was a different story. He made mistakes on our order and then blamed them on his workers and when asked to fix them he was rude and had an attitude. As we were leaving he made the comment that we were a group of idiots. Our advisor was not too thrilled at hearing the horror stories we had to tell when coming back to our rented van nicknamed Big Mamma. After we all got to rant and our advisor had heard enough, she went in to confront Lex, he was in denial to his behavior to us, and his own staff. We contacted the headquarters and made them aware of his actions. We then went into the store one last time to thank Lynda specifically for her kind manor and positive attitude that really made our morning that much better. She informed us that she had been working for 10 years and that it was the first time that someone had noticed her attempts to be kind, and i'm assuming to out weigh the negative effects of Lex, and she nearly cried. We let her know that we were calling customer service to make them aware of Lex's behavior and that we were leaving a great review for Lynda and she couldn't be happier.
