It's definitely a popular location to get food. With the automated ordering kiosks and a separate section for pastries and desserts, the looks is more like a European patisserie or bakery. Food is certainly not as inexpensive as American McDonalds but you can get a decent breakfast combo for about 3.50 Euro a person. They have a few options. Dinner is a little pricier. If you're an American and never been to Europe before, don't expect coffee sizes to be even adequate compared to what you're used to back home and don't expect amazing service that's expected in a fast food place. Most of the coffee is a lot of expressos served in small cups that might seem a little expensive compared to what you get in America. The European culture especially here in France is that people like to take their time, not be rushed, and things go a lot slower. This placed tends to get packed during dinner hours and you see a lot of French youth packing the place and the staff struggling to keep pace. My recommendation is that if you live close to this location that it's good for breakfast when it opens at 7:30. Especially if you don't want to go to local French pastry places for breakfast if they don't serve egg and all that. Dinner is when you should go explore the city and take in the local places whether it's native French cuisine or any other cuisine and for the price and chance of it being packed, you're better off going elsewhere and walking around for your dinner. Here it depends on the location and the person taking your order (if they speak English fluently or not) to understand what your needs are. Horrible, just horrible. First, I get there. NO. AC. AT. ALL. It was literally 97 degrees out, and they also had the doors open, which made it worse. Started to order, fries, nuggets, a drink, the usual. Oh, and a thing to note, I ordered on the smart-order pad. So, I ordered, well I tried too. Had to order again and again, in total three times because the pad literally said "Error" each time I tried to order. It finally let me ordered and it gave me a ticket? I waited 30 minutes before realizing I had to give the ticket to a worker for the order to go through, which was really dumb as I thought the order would've already been ordered the second I paid for it and it gave no instruction once so ever that I had to give the ticket to the workers. Then, once I finally got my order in, I waited 45 more minutes for my food. Other people that just ordered got their food in no less than 5 minutes while me, who's waited over an hour and a half, still hasn't gotten his food! Seriously, what is this service? Finally, the food came out. Now, there was still one small problem, it was seating. Downstairs, no seating. Upstairs, no seating. Luckily, a family had just been finishing up and was leaving once I got upstairs, so now I could finally have some seating. I opened up the food, very disappointing. The drink had no ice and was barely cold, the nuggets tasted horrible, and fries had no salt while being incredibly soggy. Overall this place was a dump. There was one other person in front of me, and once she was done the girl behind the counter took and fulfilled my order (two coffees) quickly. I didn't think it was possible to make the McDonald's chain in The States look good, but you people pulled it off. I went here because the menu was more expansive and pretty much as a goof- a New Yorker in France eating at Mickey D's did make for a funny Instagram post. But the laughs stopped there. No one would explain that I had to use the automated system, pay a cashier, then wait- that one is my bad. After all,I'm in a foreign country. Ordered a mcdouble, fries and mozzarella sticks. Paid for it. Waited. My # comes up,I go to the counter. "Where's the mozzarella sticks?" 'We ran out,so we gave you this wrap instead.' "Just like that? No option? What am I,in jail??" All I got was dumb looks. Go upstairs, wife goes in bathroom- tampons and excrement the floor. Bun was burnt (?!), fries were saturated in grease and undercooked. The ONE thing I thought the French would improve upon (McDonald's in the States has great fries), was inedible. The wrap, my wife picked at and tossed. This location has ordering machines, although the screens were very dirty and sticky. The food was delivered in average speed, but the burger and fries were stale and old. There is a homeless problem in the restaurant, there are homeless people sleeping! Staff was okay. read more

Ordered at Kyosk and Paid then waited 30 Min for one quarterpounder. Others in Q were waiting longer and unhappy. Just left with out food! Great location, right across from the beach. And the young people behind the counter speak English better than the people behind McDonald's counters back in New York City. My Big Mac meal here was pretty much the same as in most other parts of the globe. Even though I'm not a big fan of McDonalds, it's at least better than the only other fast food-chain burger alternative in Nice, Hesburger. Yes, the Big Mac's "hamburger meat" doesn't quite taste like meat. But since red meat is bad for you, the less actual meat in Big Mac burger patties the better. And whatever it is, it tastes good with their "Special Sauce". If you're looking for something near the beach that's fast and cheap with no surprises, this is a decent choice. read more

Worst McDonalds EVER The machines don't work correctly, and the staff is just awful. We had a 2 year old with us, and we're struggling because the machines didn't have proper instructions in English. The staff was totally unhelpful, especially at the "mcCafe" counter. Thankfully one of the managers, a very pleasant lady who spoke English, assisted us... which is the only saving grace for this restaurant. The food was AWFUL. All we ordered was a simple breakfast sandwich and they even screwed that up. The iced coffee was one of the worst I've ever had. This is the absolute worst McDonald's I have ever visited on either side of the Atlantic. Staff is dirty and not happy to be working there. Big Mac came out and meat was not on bun, Mac sauce was dumped on half the bun and carton. Fries were cold and dark brown looking and tasting like old grease. And they love for all the local dogs to come in and roam. The floors were covered in trash. Shut it down, it has no place on the Mediterranean.I only get one star because zero is not allowed. read more

After getting off the 200 bus from our day trip to Antibes, we decided have a late lunch at McDonald's because of its convenient location near the Meridien hotel. After ordering at the kiosks, we patiently waited for our food at the pick-up counter where there were 4 crew members assembling the orders. We waited, and waited, and waited. After around 10 minutes, we stepped up to the counter and calmly asked when we could expect our order to come out. The manager grabbed our receipt and took a brief looked at it. She then forcefully gave it back to us and proclaimed that they had to cook a lot of burgers in the back so it was expected that orders would take a long time. Right after speaking to the manager who seemed to be lacking in respect for her customers, one of the workers who was delivering food to people with table service kept telling us to step back quite forcefully. I mean it's not like we were going to bomb the place. But sure. You could have easily said something else and not aggravated us and others but all was still well. After calmly watching the assembly crew do absolutely nothing, one of them started to move one of the trays that had two large cokes placed on it. But as she was lazily dragging the tray across the counter, one of the cokes fell to its side and hung by a couple threads on the edge of the counter. No worries right? If she didn't move at all, she could have easily saved a spill and mess. But no. She kept on pulling the tray and watched the coke as it splattered on the kitchen wall. At the exact time, it seemed as if she did not give a s***. 20 minutes in, getting pissed, we saw part of our "grill" order given to another customer who opened it and gave it back to the crew, who promptly put it back on the warming rack (I used to be an assistant manager at a McDo--this is a no no, if a sandwich is returned it needs to be thrown away immediately). When I started to make a stink about waiting for our food for 25 minutes, they said that this is normal ( I wanted to say on what planet does it take over 25 minutes to get a fast food order right!). The manager then finally came up to see what the ruckus was about. She said that grills take longer and that we should eat our order and she'll give it to us. I sarcastically replied "that would be nice if we had our order given in the first place!" She screamed to the crew at the back to prepare our "grill order of 2 hamburgers plain" I guess you need a PhD to make 2 hamburgers plain--hmm we need to kill the cow, grind the meat, harvest wheat and grind it into flour and bake 2 buns, butter the grill, wait for the right temperature to cook the meat. Walla~~~!!! A perfect hamburger plain with nothing on it!!!!! It's not like we were asking for a stupid wedding cake! All we wanted was our nuggets, fries, drinks and plain burgers. Pretty simple for a fast food that has created these numerous times everyday. Wait 2 of them, guess need to do it all over again. The manager had to go back and cook the damned things herself. We finally got our food, 35 minutes after we paid, of course the fries are cold now, but too hungry and pissed off. Well s***, no condiments for our fries, only 2 barbeque sauce packs for our 40 pc nuggets--had to go back (20 cents please for extra sauce--@#$% we only got 2 and had to argue for 5 minutes to get 3 more packs(really???)). This is only about the food, let's not get into the attitude of the crew who all pointed fingers at each other about who screwed up this order, the manager who was rude about the whole incident, but finally did offered us a free coffee. All this time the other customers were waiting for their orders for a long time as well. There were 5 of us spread into 2 tables because the Italian couple beside us who wouldn't move one table over so we could sit side by side. These 2 idiots finished eating when we got there and were still there after we finished--easily 1 hour of hogging a table. The man was contemplating on the meaning of life and the woman was browsing on her smartphone (free wifi--whoop-de-doo which was not working at all). read more
