Honestly, a nice McDonald's. Store was overall clean. We used the kiosks to order which was fairly smoothly (the kiosk was up to date on some items being out of stock but not all--though the workers were helpful when we picked up our order to offer a substitute). Food was as you'd expect for a McDonalds. Very easy on/off from the highway too. read more

Sadie is phenomenal she should get a raise! When our door dasher got us the wrong things, she was there to help guide us through what to do. She never once got angry or frustrated, she was nothing but the best. Every worker should be like Sadie. read more

Weird to have a fast food restaurant leave me wishing to leave a review but I have to say I was there last week and my Big Mac was so perfectly executed that it stood out to me. So often they are slapped together crooked with the condiments falling off the side. This one looked like someone made it for a photo shoot! Congrats- I see you. We stopped here on our way to Grand Rapids for a bite of breakfast. It was a really nice McDo! The inside was modernized with good seating. The people working here were very friendly and went out of their way for us. We got some hotcakes, a big fluffy cinnamon bun, a bagel with egg, bacon, and cheese, and a hash brown. The bun was so delicious and huge. They recommended it and it was tasty. The hash brown was so super crispy, it really hit the spot and was so fire. I could have eaten ten of those. The bagel, as you can see in the picture was a little burnt from the toaster, but overall was a good sandwich. I wanted to taste the McDo bagel sandwiches since they advertised being "back." Not sure I would get that too often, but I liked it. Then my child asked about the Grimace shake and what it tasted like, so they were nice enough to make one for her during breakfast hours. It was so good, it was like a blueberry muffin ice cream. If we are hungry and in the area, I would stop here again. It seemed to be the place for breakfast, it was quite crowded and festive for a Saturday morning. read more

Stopped here while on a road trip and had one of the top 3 restaurant experiences at McDonald's. Order a spicy nuggets and they had the SZECHUAN sauce. Nuggets were CRISPY in a good way and they even complimented me with a free sprite that I forgot to order. Stopped by again on the way back home and had the same equal experience. I will be back just to past by everytime I travel. read more

Really disappointed. Apparently they automatically assume that you want large fries and a large drink When you order at the drive thru. I talked the manager about it and she said do to the economy we don't ask if you want a small, medium or large meal. So you as the customer have to let them know what size you want they will not ask. Not sure if I will return to this McDonald's. With everything going on they should. Some people are of work and can't afford to pay extra. This is just taken advantage of the customer. Absolutely terrible. Live in Portland go here often and the service is terrible they're lazy asf 50% of the time ur fries are cold. I have had to drive back after ordering multiple times because the manager says it's my job to make sure I have the right food. 1/10 recommend only go here if it's ur last option. read more

Line of cars around the building for the drive thru when sign says open, online says open, but not a single person got an order taken for over 20 minutes of everyone just sitting there. Clearly too lazy to update hours or otherwise just avoiding work. LAZY management. Avoid this place. read more

McDonald's is nothing fancy, and they should really ask be the same no matter where you go. That's why they have their branded greetings and standard operating procedure for everything they do. Apparently, this location didn't get the memo. I'm sick of driving through this place and getting greeted with "do you know what you want yet?" Ummmmm... how about "welcome to McDonald's, would you like to try.....?" They're lucky there isn't that much more of a fast food selection in this small town. Advice for management: require your staff to undergo standard training. It sounds dumb to say that since its McDonald's, but I guess some people need it...... read more

This McDonald's is an absolute pile of dog manure. Every time we have gone there, its been one issue after another and tonight is the final straw as I have a wife and baby who will not eat their food because of the absolute lack of quality of this food. The only thing warm was the quarter pounder. My chicken sandwich is COLD and the fries are old and rubbery. I got the chance of tasting the fries before i left the parking lot, swung back through the drive thru to advise of the poor quality of the fries, just to be given another box of cold and rubbery fries. This franchise location DESERVES TO BE SHUT DOWN FOR GOOD! Pull their license as they are not protecting and delivering the quality of McDonalds' products. My wife did call the store to complain and we have 2 large meals waiting on the book for us, but that is a horrible compensation when your family is hungry and its closer to 11 at night. read more

As an employee of this McDonald's, I am very proud to work here. We have the best service around, and I personally think that we are better than most McDonald's in Michigan, heck even the United States! We have the best managers and the best grill crew, but that's just my opinion because I am the grill guy! Ha! read more

Even considering the lowered expectations afforded to McDonalds, this site still disappoints. The condition of the building is poor and has been so for a decade. The bathrooms reek of urine, the women's door slams shut violently, the floors and tables are permanently slimy with grease (slip and fall lawsuit waiting to happen), and in the winter the lobby is about 58 degrees. You can practically feel the breeze coming through the 1980's windows. If the owner allows such conditions in the customer-facing areas, just imagine what the kitchen and employee areas may be like. This is the caliber of McDonalds one would expect to find in the Detroit ghetto, not in an affluent small community like Portland. This place is an embarrassment to the town and reflects poorly on the franchise. Do yourself a favor and eat somewhere else. read more

Service is normally pretty good, and the food is of a good quality for McDonald's. However, one of the managers is a truly awful person. I once ordered a water with my sandwich and as I stood there waiting for my food, I hadn't had the water cup in my hand more than a minute before she walked up to me from behind the counter, snatched it out of my fingers without a word and stomped off with it. Hello? Soda costs them a pathetically insignificant amount. If I was petty enough to steal pop its hardly a loss. So how DARE you not only assume I'm the sort of idiot who would steal pop but also treat me inhumanely enough to not even give me the honor of actually freaking asking me if you can fill my cup with water. Treat me like a person. Be polite. This is a SERVICE. It's bad enough if you think it's okay to treat your relatives or friends like this, but I'm providing the money that helps pay you. Give me some respect. Also, more recently, my boyfriend applied for a job there. He got the call back just as he and I were walking into his house, and his mom answered it. She was told he had an interview scheduled for July 4th. We were all a bit confused because at the time it was the end of May, so it seemed odd that it was not only so far in advance but also on a holiday. She handed over the phone and HE was told he had an interview on the 4th of July. I heard him repeat this date several times over the course of the conversation and he was repeatedly told he had it correct. He shows up on the 4th of July, before he needed to be there, and this manager walks up to him a few minutes after the interview was scheduled to begin, and rudely tells him his interview was JUNE 4th, she wasn't doing interviews on HER holiday, and he'd better apply again if he still wanted a job. When he actually went to get another application, another customer who saw how he was treated commented on how if it were them, THEY wouldn't bother because she'd treated him like crap. When he finally got over his shock and went to turn in his new application, he tried to explain the situation to her and she smugly told him he must have heard wrong. Um, no, There were three people who heard YOUR voice on the phone saying JULY FOURTH. Own up to your mistakes and give him the interview he interrupted his holiday for. What's worse was she didn't even bother to act decent in front of the other customers. She's just plain rude. People I know who work there have told me she's even worse when she's your manager. In conclusion I have no issue with the restaurant itself. But don't go there during Crystal's shift if you expect to be treated with any sort of respect. read more
