Worst experience at McDonald's in the last 10 years! I travel to the area for business every 2-3 months. First time coming to McDonalds only because of proximity to Walmart. Kiosk didn't print the receipt, and they said they can't provide a receipt. The app doesn't provide a receipt. Emailed corporate who said ask the store or check your email. No emailed receipt. I need the receipt for business tax purposes. Not only do I not a have a receipt...the chicken strips are old, the fries are cold and unsalted, and the burger has more mayo and ketchup than "deluxe" toppings. I never have to return to McDonald's after this. Should've gone to Dairy Queen as planned. read more

On Sunday that's what's posted on the door the last two times I've been there they have not been open at six today. It was 620 and they still was not open. Finally had ro walk in to find out that the order had been erased and no one knew the order existed. I had to show my receipt on ly phone. Went through the week at about 9:00am wasn't that busy. Went through drive thru order our food got home half our food wasn' t there very disappointed. It took them 20 minutes to fix a cheeseburger and a 4 piece nugget. The drinks all across the board were flat, the burger tasted like it had refrigerated for a week then microwaved, and the nuggets were dry. I'd rather eat raw crocodile that had been marinated in Clorox and then have my drink to be goo gone. I would have enjoyed that way more than this McDonalds. -4/5 stars... read more

I'd pick this fast food restaurant over any.. with the Fresh Quarter pounders with beef coming straight off the grill along with fresh fries and a frappe from the cafe machine makes this the best get together for my family they are kid friendly and super nice. read more

I think I was missing the sight of part of Prestonsburg. When I had researched the area there were several recommended restaurants, but once we arrived and realized that we didn't have cell service, we were on our own finding Sunday lunch. This McDonald's location and a Reno's Steakhouse were within one shot of one another and the two of the few places in the area, that I found. The fries filled to the top and piping hot, my two biggest quarrels when they aren't achieved. So, kudos. The double cheeseburger tastes just like the last time that I remember. I didn't like that they charged for a side of pickles and not only that, the 'side' only consisted of five or so pickles. read more

if you want a milkshake mcdonalds has the best , but if you order frys w/o salt. watch out , i ask for one pk of salt b/c i have hight blood and can only have a little salt. the guy who works there,must have taken it personal be cause he gave me pepper lol. im allergic to pepper and put it on my frys thanking it was one salt .they looked so good but had to trash them . check and make sure you have the right session. before putting it on your order. wast of money and time. sham on the guy who took it personal . dont take your problems to work with you. or get a job not working in the food business. you could make someone very ill. like me . read more

McDonald's used to be a good place to go and eat and it was actually cheap now you've got hateful workers and your order is never right.

Very slow service. Been here a few times do to the fact it is the only place around to get breakfast. I have had slow service on all occasions but today was the worst. There was a few cars in the drive thru and on gentleman inside waiting for his order. I went inside and stood there for over 5 minutes until the woman taking care of the drive thru came over and waited on me. She took my order and then went back to working the drive thru. The working in the back making the sandwiches and what not had to come around and make my oatmeal. Well apparently he was not trained in the making of oatmeal because I could of used the stuff to patch asphalt. There was also another occasion where I ordered coffee and after finishing it I noticed black chunks of plastic or rubber in my coffee. I called and the manager offered me another cup if I wanted to leave work and drive back to McDonalds. On a plus side the place does seem clean. read more

This particular location is a complete mess. Every single time I stop there it takes a rediculous amount of time to get my order, both drive thru and lobby. The last time I stopped was yesterday, I ordered a chicken sandwich and a coke through the drive thru. From the time I pulled up to the speaker until I received my food it had taken 17 minutes. The time before that I went inside and ordered a 6 piece nugget, medium fry, and a drink and it took well over 20 minutes to get it. They were not understaffed, they were busy but there were plenty of employees so those wait times for what is considered fast food are outrageous. Nobody offered an apology or a reason why it took so long to get everyone's orders. The only reason they're getting 2 stars instead of one is because when I did finally get my food it was fresh and the order was correct. The location on North Lake Drive in town is much more efficient. It's definitely worth the extra few miles to drive on into town if you're just driving by Prestonsburg. read more
