I've been there twice and the first time was extremely memorable. We happened to show up on the first Wednesday of the month which is comedy night. We sat through 4 mediocre comedians who mostly made fun of themselves and droll. I was slightly amused, probably more because I'm American and listening to local English comedians was funny just because of their different brand of humor. There was a main act and I am so glad we stayed for it. Jonathan Mayor performed and he was HILARIOUS. I have never seen a comedian in person who was so funny, and this was free entrance! The beer selection is interesting and the decor is definitely a conversation piece. The high ceilings make it feel open. The bathrooms are on the second floor and they don't always work, as I witnessed when I walked in on the barman and a lady in a lovely green dress with a long stick plunging the ladies toilet. Always something interesting going on in the Cask Corner. There's a great mix of different seating options as well as a pool table. Overall, a great addition to Doncaster town center.

I love my coffee and I can say their flat white was spot on for me. The staff seem great here as well, very welcoming and friendly, offering to give suggestions or anwser any questions about the food. Quiz night is a TON of fun here. Even though I know very few of the answers (I blame being American), I still have a great time. I've promised to do the quiz/be the quizmaster. Chuck a couple of those b-boys on a waffle, lather it -- nay, suffocate it -- with maple syrup, and you'll get a little closer to the kind of disgraceful treats you can get across the pond. My hot dog was decent (i must say though putting the cheese between the dog and the bun was a bit weird instead of on the top) and the size was very good but my friend on the other side wasn't as lucky as me. She asked for a medium steak and got a well done with an over easy egg on top and got an over medium. The steak looked a but dehydrated and she had to ask for some lemon to give it a boost to the flavour and she made a comment as she was eating her side of corn on the cob that the corn wasn't very fresh. I'm not sure i would go back to try something else unless is FOR SCIENCE!!!!
