We had a nap spread out in front of us. I can tell you that this lady's suggestions were excellent! The Cranewood on Main St is a repurposed beautiful 3-floor old house. They've done a fine job of redesigning the interior. The food and coffee we had was good, and it got quite busy in there! You line up for your order / food and to pay - cafeteria style. Sackville is a university town, and I really enjoyed our visit. This coffee shop was terrific! I would definitely go back.

Allison University, this unique market (in an old yellow house) offers a good selection of organic and gluten free groceries, health foods, and vegetarian products. They carry vitamins, dietary supplements, fair trade organic coffee, teas, cheeses, chutneys, salsa, buckwheat flour, bread mixes, lentils, flaxseed, organic baking mixes, organic molasses, ceramic teapots, handcrafted goods, and much more. The back of the market houses a cozy gluten free bakery cafe counter offering fresh gluten free & organic baked goods (focaccia thin buns, cinnamon buns, muffins, cookies, cakes, breads), sandwiches, soups, salads, fair trade organic coffees espresso, lattes, and real fruit smoothies. The menu is gluten free and vegetarian with vegan and dairy free options. There's seating along the back window and outside covered patio seating in front of the market. Before heading out, we shared two gingerbread cookies (organic & gluten free) for our light snack. My friend and I paid a visit to the Sackville bakery, which also has a small store/counter area inside the open bakery, where "kookies" and other baked goods such as breads and cinnamon buns are also sold. Free samples of the were offered to us. Several bakers/workers (all wearing hairnets) can be seen making the "kookies" and using big trays in the baking process. The Ginger Snaps are a vegan product, which are all natural with no preservatives, no dairy, no eggs, and nothing hydrogenated. We bought a package of those Ginger Snap Kookies for our roadtrip. The thin ginger snaps are thin and soft, but not crispy like the Moravian ginger snaps we've had and have a nice sweet and spicy flavour. We've been enjoying the ginger snaps for snacks with our coffee drinks.
