Edited 1/17/26: I received an email from Audrey Woods, Director of Operations for the owners (Weinbaums) of McDonald's Waynesville. The response was hostile in tone, reinforcing my concerns about a toxic work environment. I followed up to ask why I was blocked from the business's social media page after making a simple inquiry and to address the lack of communication and follow thru on her part. I attempted several times to reach someone from corporate regarding an incident that occurred at your Waynesville McDonald's location and wanted to follow up in writing. I went through the drive-thru to purchase a meal (11/9/24), and my card was charged for another customer's order. I informed the employee that this was not okay and requested that my card be refunded and the transaction reprocessed correctly for my actual order. Another staff member then came to the window and stated that a refund was unnecessary because the difference was only a "few cents". I explained that for transaction and record-keeping purposes, and based on being a business owner with extensive business experience, I preferred that my card be refunded and the correct transaction completed. I asked for her name, which she stated was Ann Horsey. At that point, the interaction escalated by your management Ann. The employee became hostile, closed the drive-thru window, used profanity directed at me and about me, yelling and screaming at staff and myself. She created a visibly hostile environment for the staff present and me as a customer. I was later handed a receipt very rudely after I asked for a full refund. I was then aggressively instructed to pull forward to the first window. I stated that due to the abusive incident, I was requesting a refund for the entire meal as I did not want that meal any longer. Staff was hostile again and insisted I pull forward while also stating that I had already received a refund on the original transaction, though no such refund appeared on my account. Eventually, an employee came outside to issue the refund. I recorded the interaction so there would be an accurate record of what occurred. The video is approximately five minutes long and is too large to send via messenger on Facebook, but I would be happy to email it to you for review if you would like. Additionally, yesterday I tried to reach out about this incident via McDonalds Waynesville social media page. I was blocked from the Waynesville McDonald's Facebook business page the next day. As a customer this is appalling to have customer grievances go purposely ignored. I want to be clear that I have never had any issues at this McDonald's location before. This was my first experience of this nature, which is why I felt it was important to bring it to your attention. I would like to know if any disciplinary actions has been taken for the November 2024 incident because scrolling through my news feed on Facebook to see her being praised was unsettling after what I personally experienced with her at your establishment. I have submitted formal complaints with corporate McDonald's, both owners to their messengers on Facebook, Scott Cone (General Manager) via messenger on Facebook and the Missouri Attorney Generals Office. read more

Can't say this is a safe place to eat. I know it's fast food, however, there's a basic food safety standard that exists for a reason. I have severe food poisoning from this location that's been verified by my medical doctor. Definitely skip this option. read more

This is without a doubt the worst McDonald's in the world. I have been to multiple McDonald's within the states and other countries and this is no doubt the worst. If I could give this McDonald's zero stars, I would. I have lived here for three years now and over the course of that time, I would say that 70% to 80% of my orders are always wrong and even when they try to fix them on the spot, they still get it wrong. Today after speaking with McDonald's corporate a couple of days ago, we were offered a free meal there. We decided to take them up on their offer and the free meal ended up being wrong (Big Surprise) and we found a long curly hair in the salad. Overall the food is as good as McDonald's food generally is. The establishment is usually clean and MOST of the employees are polite. There is an older woman that works at the drive thru window that is rude as heck. Every single encounter I have had with her has been negative. She is short and snippy no matter how you greet her. I really don't understand what is going on and I always try to keep an open mind but I really dread when I see her at the window. I hope someone above her sees this and moves her to an area where she has less interaction with the public. She's a real downer. read more

First of all I'd like to start off by saying that there was a hair in my McFlurry, I'm fine with just calling it a loss but I also had two pisses off children In my backseat because they managed to give them the wrong toys after we had specified they were for boys. I'm all for saving the turtles but not when it's at the expense of my children complaining all the way home because we weren't given straws. In addition, you would think with a busy drive thu line that the fries would be fresh but they we're definitely cold and soggy. I would 16/10 agree that this experience was like ordering food at the dmv. You'd honestly get better food and service digging out of their dumpster. This isn't a item that takes a lot of work to have ready, for people to get, no shortages on apple pies, almost every time I go there, I'm told, they haven't been put in the oven. If you want to find an untrained and rude staff, this is the place for that. I ordered food for the family and asked for ketchup. All he gave me was 3 packets and didn't want to give me more. I asked for more and he said that's all I get. Who knew there was a ketchup shortage. I left the drive thru in a grumpy mood. Extremely disappointed in this location. We have been to this Mc Donald's a few times and our order was always wrong. But I mean it's Mc Donald's, no big deal right? Today my kids and I came in for Halloween and had the worst customer service ever. My order was wrong. When I asked them to make it right, (after waiting for someone to help me 10 minutes later)by simply replacing the meat that was missing.. I was yelled at and accused of lying by the line staff. I was told my order would not be fixed because my toddler at my food while I was waiting for someone to assist me. Then I went to get my receipt and showed the manager that my order was wrong, she told me next time they would not fix it. It took every ounce of energy to not get on the level of interaction I experienced here. It was demeaning and horrible. Not only that, my children overheard everything (they were sitting in the booths behind the registers). My kids felt horrible and it was a terrible experience. Okay, this is absolutly getting rediculous. I have been to this McDonalds now 3 days in a row for 2 Lg. Ice Teas Unsweetened. Day 1 at 6pm dinner time SPOILED TEA. Day 2 at 230pm SPOILED TEA Day 3 at 12 pm Noon SPOILED TEA REALLY, I can go to Waynesville, Rolla, Lebanon, and Columbia I have never gotten Spoiled Tea from any if these locations. I stopped by on 16 October 2019 at 6 am and went to the drive thru.... After being greeted by the generic welcome message I waited 3 minutes and no response was received in my attempt for service. I Charles it up to possible faulty technology so I drive around the building to try another lane. After attempting the other lane meeting the same results, I left. As I drive by the building again I saw employees just standing behind the counter. So I left without spending my money at a company that doesn't know customer service. Best customer service of any McDonald's I've ever been to. EVER. I asked for an Oreo frappe and they didn't offer them at this particular McDonald's. One of the workers, who was actually on break, overheard and then went to the Mc flurry machine, got some Oreos and improvised how to make me an Oreo frappe.
