The only reason they get a 2 stars instead of 1 star is for the funky decor. It makes you feel like you are out a lounge and should be sipping a tropical drink, not eating McNuggets and drinking soda. The music though, needs some work. Besides the decor, we tried placing our order and had absolutely no idea what the cashier was saying; sounded like she was speaking 10% english and 90% something else. If I understood 1 word per sentence from her, I was lucky. She clearly didn't understand our order either, despite enunciating it to her 3 times. I even had a random lady ask to sit down at our table and join us while waiting for the food to be ready. Um, no thank you! The parking lot is ridiculously small and a major cluster $%^&. Huge surprise that this McDonald's has such terrible reviews. You don't have to worry much about not getting a fresh burger or delicious fries, you'll get them for sure. My food is always 100%! but grab your patience and a seat cause you're definitely getting a craaaaapy attitude from some of the girls working here. I'm going to have to bet that it's the short, female, Spanish speaking manager who contributes to the bad customer service reviews. Her attitude SUCKS! I waited nearly 30 minutes to pick up an order and watched as she would interact the same way with every single customer. She would shout the order number, place the food down and then turn and ignore their requests for ketchup or sauce or straws or countless other items. When she would finally acknowledge them, it came with the nastiest "huh?" ...Ketchup please! "Huh" straw please... HUH??? My expectations for McDonald's, or any fast food joint for that matter, are not high. However... This McDonald's has the slowest service I've ever encountered - taking the "fast" out of "fast food." Every time I go there, there's an epic line, like a soccer game just got out, and the staff are ill-equipped to handle the crowd. Then there's a huge wait for the food. There's a sign right on the store that says "walk thru window open from 12am-5am 7 days a week"- we came at around 2 am on a Saturday night to the walk through window and the employee there just ignored us. He had headhpones in and pretended to stock food to avoid coming to the window. We waved and knocked on the window for 10 minutes before giving up and leaving. We know he saw us and just blatantly ignored us. So incredibly disrespectful and lazy. By far the worst customer service I have ever experienced. read more

I'm glad this place doesn't have great ratings because it doesn't deserve it. The customer service is horrible and dismissive! I realize I'm Yelping an international franchise will billions of stores, but honestly, the fact that it IS a franchise makes me scratch my head at the way they turned away my service because they couldn't honor my coupon. I took the survey on the receipt and brought it in to get a BOGO Quarter Pounder or Egg McMuffin. To my surprise, the coupon is only valid at the store you did the survey for...I understand if this was a local place, but this is MCDONALDS. I came inside the 8407 Colesville Rd Mcdonald's it was raining and as I entered the floor was so wet and slippery I fell entering. As I fell Ana Diaz the manager of this location immediately said someone just mopped. I let her know it was slippery and someone should mop and dry the entrance. She immediately became defensive and told me someone had just mopped. I explained to her someone need to mop again because it was still slippery and I had just fell. As I waited for my food Ana ignored my request of having someone mop up the slippery floor explaining it was done just before I came inside. This is extremely dangerous even after I explained to Ana Diaz. But she did not care at all. Even after I said I would be escalating this issue. She never sent anyone to mop or dry the main entrance. This happened this Sunday 5/22/2022 at 7:58 pm. This was totally unprofessional and disregard for all patrons entering this business. I will never go back to this establishment. Absolutely awful customer service. Went in this morning with my younger brother to get breakfast and ordered ahead. I walked inside to check on my online order and she just yelled "no bagels" and went back to getting orders for other people. I asked her if she could cancel the order then and she said "yeah" and didn't even look at me. After a few minutes of standing there I asked if I needed to do anything to get my refund. She told me "call your bank and dispute it" so I asked why would I do that if I received no product? I need a refund. But, now the 24 hour dining room closes at 12pm M-Th; they proudly don't give our cups of water - even in the Summer, and being pleasant to customers is way beyond the job expectations of the counter staff. That being said, if you are really hungry, and don't have any other options or places to go and it's a late weekend night - you might give it a try. Meh. I've experienced better. They're always pretty unorganized at this Micky D's but they get the job done. The soda machine's always out of one drink or another. As other Yelpers have said, it's a pretty diverse group of people at this McDonalds. But i's hit or miss with the service and most of the times it's a miss. If I had another option for a late burger, I would not go here. It's a fast food place but it feels like a a sloppy cafeteria. One time, the cashier asked me to wait in the middle of ordering so he could finish flirting with this gal. The place smells like a busy gym which is marginally better than a public toilet. The only thing going for it is that it is open 24 hours. Don't order a happy meal for your kids here, it won't be enough to make them happy after they leave this place. Made a mobile order at 10:30am and went to check in when I got to the store. Got an error message that said to speak with an employee to complete order. So I waited in the regular line for 10 minutes and spoke with the cashier. She told me to make another order and took me over to the next register. Then she just walked away and served 4 people who were in line behind me, completely ignoring me. So I got the attention of who I assume is the shift supervisor who started asking the cashier why she wasn't helping me. The cashier gave her attitude saying there's a problem with my mobile order and she doesn't want to deal with it. Supervisor looked displeased and cashier didn't give a **it and shrugged her off. Supervisor told me to wait while she bagged some orders in progress. Then it hit me, why waste my money and any more time for terrible service and likely terrible food quality (based on other reviews here) so I just walked out. Will never even consider going back to this McDonald's. Bonus: I also watched another employee try to clean the soft serve machine. It exploded all over him and the floor. But at least they are attempting to clean it after hearing horror stories of the gross buildup in most machines read more

The staff seems overworked; the tables were not clean. We ordered at the new ordering kiosks which worked moderately well. The fries were not in good condition. I thought the McDonalds on 16th street in Silver Spring was bad. One star is too much for this place. I went in on a Tuesday evening around 9. There were about 10 people waiting around for their orders. I should have just left. I placed my order and waited a good 10 minutes with everybody else. They were not even busy. So I had 10 minutes to take in the appalling condition of this McDonalds. It was filthy, Ketchup was spilled all over the counter, the soda machine was a mess and out of ice. There was plenty of staff, but they were all sitting around. I cannot believe that McDonalds corporation puts up with this. This has been by far my worst McDonald's experience thus far in life. My friend and I stopped in while in town for a concert, not only did we visit this McDonald's once, but twice, before and after the concert. So not only were we let down and disappointed with this horrendous experience of 'customer service' and not to mention the SLOWEST 'fast' food place one, but twice. Maybe third time visiting would be a charm? Absolutely wouldn't even take the risk or chance, 20 minute wait for undercooked chicken nuggets & fries. They should have been over cooked if anything with having all that time to spend taking their time. The bath rooms are a whole different story. Empty alcohol bottles were found in the trash can of my stall, & I was not able to change my babies diaper due to what seemed to smell like mikes hard lemonade being spilled on the diaper changing area. Disgusting is the word. I only go once every 3 months when I'm starving. They closed down Burger King in City Place which was stupid. This McDonalds adds entirely too much salt and pepper to their burgers, the fries taste like they haven't changed their frying oil in years, the meat is usually undercooked and the unkempt cashiers ALWAYS skip over my simple order serving out every patron who arrived after me before myself while I'm wondering what the hell is taking so long. read more

This location is ok, they do prepare food in decent amount of time and are courteous. This location is next to a bus and train terminal, don't bet on RR and dining area to be perfectly clean...but for a McDonalds I have seen worse so this place gets 3 stars for food prep time, staff courtesy, and sweet tea ( the only reason I go aside from the fries). read more
