Decent enough McDonald's if you don't have over the top expectations. I stopped by here to satisfy a Quarter Pounder w/ cheese craving and was pleased with my results. Ordering was a breeze, and I received my food (with steaming hot fries) within a few minutes. Overall, the dining area was clean; however, the bathroom could use a little work. But, I blame more of this on some of the customers who feel that it's ok to throw trash where ever they want to. During rush hour, I highly recommend parking and placing your order inside because it might be faster than the drive thru. The customer service is horrible. Staff talking the whole time I was waiting for my meal and they didn't even ask if I needed anything else. They closed the window before asking. They had no gloves, talking over the food. I always use to come to this location, and my last two visits have been bad. Missing items, lack of professionalism with communication. The last time I ordered, I had to throw it away do to the quality of the food. It is very hard to work at a fast food restaurant but it is a blessing to have a job right now. Because the traffic on I-495 was out a standstill, we jumped off to get something quick and easy for dinner. We stopped at McDonald's because it fit the bill. This location has been updated with the fancy kiosk for ordering. There was a line at the counter, so my husband ordered at the kiosk. It was quick and easy. You order, you pay, you get a number, and they bring the food to the table. He customized his Quarter Pounder with cheese, and it came out as he requested. It was hot and juicy. I do crave junk food from time to time and then closest place to my house is this macdonald. This place is fairly clean and spacious, the staff are pretty friendly ( most of the time) They always give you extra sauce when you ask them and always a pleasure to pop in for a quick junk food. Only problems is the staff sometimes inpatient when I asked them about promotions and what type of burgers they have, to me this isn't a problems as long as I yet my extra sauce. Lol read more

This McDonald's has got to be the worst, and most on organized in Montgomery county, the past four times I have gone. It is literally the same thing all over again there is literally multiple things missing in the order if I am ordering some thing and I am very clear and I repeat the order at the box twice, give me the right thing. The Drive Thru at night is bad news. Go to another McDees. How hard can it be to take and order? This place consistently makes order mistakes at night, and worse, puts the blame on the customer. Just drive to another Mcds. Here are common issues: 1) Incorrect order taken (happened 4 times in 6 orders) 2) Incorrect verbal instructions (Pull up to the window - meant to say pull up to next order speaker) 3) Lack of menu knowledge (McRib was still offered that day, but person said no). 4) Lack of training (How a credit card works) 5) Lack of customer service (Did not confirm my order just stopped talking- I'm like "Hello" Hello" "Did you get my order?") 6) Overly dry, overheated lamp food (fries, tenders, etc.) taste like leather. Tonight, at the drive-through pay window, the cashier woman said "we only take cash. There's a sign out there". Maybe so, but I didn't see it. She could have told me when I was making the order. And somebody must have brought the Bubble Tape and Pixie Sticks out in homeroom today, because these kids were wild! I roll pass these kids OG style to the drive thru. The woman that helped me spoke excellent English and had no problems hearing me. Additionally, some McDonald's locations don't know how to make good iced coffee. I went to one last week that put waaaay to much cream in my coffee. In fact, when Miriam W got in my car, she said "Oops! Looks like you left your milk in here! Well, they mixed up my order but they were really cool about fixing it. The gentleman helping me had English as a Second Language issues, but he was very friendly as if to compensate. I guess it worked. There are no teenagers here after 9 pm. I think that's the secret to not hating this place. Perhaps most importantly, this McDonald's provided needed refuge for me when the ne'er-do-wells two blocks away started misbehaving in the public parking lot where I had been previously. I stopped by this restaurant tonight, because when I found myself in Silver Spring. I had placed an order on the self serve kiosk machine for a McRib sandwich, small drink, and apple pie. While waiting for my order, In was informed by someone from behind the counter that they were out of the McRibs. I asked, why then I was leaving to place the order in the first place, and I wasn't really given a straight answer. Someone who appeared to be a Manager asked me if there was something else that I would like in place of the McRib. I said sure, throw me a Big Mac, and let's call it a day. The Big Mac turned out to be delicious, and it took care of my hunger pains. I know that the McRib is a relatively new item, and I have been meaning to try it. Before jumping on the highway, I decided to stop at the McDonalds on W. University Blvd at Colesville Rd. It was in the morning and there were a lot of people inside, so I decided to use the drive thru. Unfortunately, there was an extreme language barrier with the person taking my order, so I had to repeat myself over and over and over again. While attempting to pay for my food at the drive thru window, that staff member had a very hard time figuring out which order was mine. Again, the language barrier was very strong. I couldn't understand him and I doubt he understood me. Upon getting my food and leaving the parking lot, I pulled onto the highway and discovered that the staff didn't put my two apple juice box drinks in my bag. I had no time to drive all the way back there just for the two drinks that I had bought for my kids. To compound my disappointment, I had ordered two apple pies but sadly discovered that they were very dry and appeared to be either old or overcooked. Everytime I come to this McDonald's, they never have the blender working for frappes or smoothies. They always tell me that it's either being clean or not working. I find it hard to believe that they can serve one customer a frappe. Sometimes I pay for it before they tell me it's being clean and ask me if I would like another item but same price. The drive thru is out of control awful. They've stationed people outside with tablets to take orders in a location where you can't even see a menu (yes, some of us still need it...). The folks taking orders keep working down the line so that there are no cars even visible in line on that side of the building, but traffic is backed up into the street. They are also aggressive about handing your debit card to the cashier, and I was just yelled at twice for the inconvenience to them of wanting to see a menu. It was similar the last time I went a few weeks ago. I will avoid this location at all costs from now on. read more
