We've grabbed lunch from this location before and it's the service that we've come to expect of McDonalds. Until we went for the early morning breakfast - we were so pleased to find out they were 24h so we could grab breakfast before our 6am flight and not suffer Skinny Pancake BTV. We ordered on the app overpaying a ridiculous $28 for 2 egg mcmuffin meals, oatmeal, bacon and an apple pie. We should have known not to order the apple pie - there is always an apple pie issue and they never have them available. 4:38am and we're told we have to wait 10 minutes for the apple pie so we wait and wait and wait. And then 4:50am, we are told they are burnt! So they give us cash back and we end up having to spend $17 for a Skinny Pancake crepe. read more

This location was laughable it was so flawed. First, who ever heard of a Mc Donald's with no drive through? This is one of those stores that has the kiosks where you order and pay. If it worked, that would be great. But people still want to walk up to a person and place an order. Food came out slower that you'd expect and the manager looked frustrated. I ordered a Quarter Pounder "Deluxe" with NO cheese and a side of Buttermilk Chicken Tenders. It didn't quite smell right when I got to my car; I just assumed there was a smelly dumpster nearby. When I got home and opened the box--with the attached print up with NO cheese taped to it no less--sure enough, there was cheese. It was also cold, soggy and smelled horrendous--like when rotten garbage is burning. I do not feel safe eating anything from this location. I threw all of it in the trash. There is no drive through so I had to get out of the car and go inside. I saw a guy go to a window but there were lines on the ground meaning people could also park there. It just looked weird. It was convenient they were open at 5:30 am since I had an early morning flight. So I grabbed an egg mcmuffin. I did see this McDonalds sold muffins that you normally find at a Dunkin Donuts. Luckily, there are no other places open in South Burlington after 5 on a weekday so McDonald's it is. It was very trippy to drive around the building and see a window, but not be able to order from it. You see, S. Burlington has zoning laws that prohibit fast food mofos from taking over and making their beautiful green people into fat green blobs of shize. So, instead of a drive-thru, they have a walk/bike-thru. The fact that they have a 24hr fri/sat service tells you a little bit about the neighborhood. It's dead quiet. The inside is even nicer, there were lots of teenagers just hanging out by the fireplace watching sports on the plasma and doing homework! I however, came for the free wifi and hot apple pie mashed into my softserve in a cup...mmmmm. The server girl was about to give the people ahead of me the last of the fries under the lamp, but told them that she'd fry them up a fresh batch if they waited. Who does that? I've been served so many cold, soggy, or undercooked fried in my life it's ridiculous. The fact that the website puts the managers, name number, and email form down shows that they're trying to take customer service seriously. Rude! Rude! Rude! My mom (who is 71 years old and partially deaf) and I had to bring our dog to the emergency vet in Williston tonight around midnight. I was driving and asked her to call this McDonald's to see if they are 24-hours or not. The first time she dialed I heard them answer just as she hung up, so she redialed (ONCE) and the McD employee answered and was yelling into the phone "If you prank call us one more time we're calling the police!" My mom couldn't tell what was being said, but I heard it (as she uses speaker phone) and I said we just wanted to know their hours. She said we had called 13 times and was going to call the police. I said it wasn't us and she hung up.... We found out they ARE a 24-hour location, so after finishing with our dog (she is ok) we went to that location and I told the gal that took our orders what happened. She was not amused and I felt like she was killing my soul with the sour expression on her face. read more

Oh wow, I'm reviewing ANOTHER McDonald's. Joy. This place, like a few others in the area, has had a facelift in the past few years. The interior isn't bad. It's nothing superb either. The food...yeah it's fast and typical but nothing special and certainly a pass with Al's French Frys just a short walk away. Drive Thru? Nope. Outdoor walk-up window. (??) So they couldn't support the capacity of a drive-thru here or they needed a permit? Not sure I get this walk up window thing. Never used it. The help is kind of helpful here. Last time I came in here the girl at the counter took my order and then followed up with a question to the manager if it was "10 o'clock yet?" (it was like 7pm). Clearly not thrilled with her job and her total lack of enthusiasm over my patronage showed. The manager was helpful though in making sure everything ended up in my to-go bag and offered a drink carrier as I needed to get 3 fountain drinks here.
