I went through the drive through and Service was terrible, rude staff, my order was all messed up, I ordered a 10 piece with sweet and sour a fry and a sweet tea and 2 hot and spicy's large fry and large sweet tea I also asked for extra sweet and sour, I got two things of sweet and sour and one tangy bbq, the tea was unsweetened, I didn't get straws, and the large fry was basically a medium. You almost always receive rude service and cold food. Most of the time you have a long wait for that cold food that tastes atleast 2-3 days old. Your order is often incorrect and or they are out of several items. They actually ran out of both biscuits and Coke one morning pretty recently at the Southaven location on Pepperchase when I went there! I had to get a McGriddle and a Sprite that they put tons if ice in instead of what I ordered on the AP and went there for that was a Bacon Egg and Cheese Biscuit and a Coke with light ice that I was hoping to receive when I got there!! Of course due to me placing my order on the AP ahead of time and it being paid for already I was told I couldn't even receive my money back for the order because they didn't have a way to do that. That is why I had to settle for the McGriddle and Sprite, it was either that or have to just lose my money!! My family and I use to frequent this McDonalds pretty often, but now we all just pass the one that is on Church road that is less than a half a mile from our houses just to go all the way to another location that are all no less than 5 miles away hoping to receive the items we have most of the time already paid for on the AP, but we have learned not to use the AP anymore without asking what they're out of before we place an order on there. I've seen several Health Dept Code violations at this location as well!! I managed food establishments for almost 20 years so I know what the food safety standards are! The people working in the Kitchen should have their hair pulled up, should be in a hair net or a hat, they should be wearing gloves at all times when handling any of the food that is not completely covered, they should not handle money then directly handling any food items with bare hands especially not after handling money and not washing their hands first before handling food as well all areas with any food items should be clean and sanitized at all times! I noticed several of those violations on more than one occasion. Employees with extremely long hair not pulled back at all. One employee actually handled the money with gloves on then took the gloves off to handle the food, another one never took the gloves off after handling the money and just turned around grabbing the items out of the holding window with the heat lamp over the food. That is primarily why we don't care to ever go to this location again. I also asked for my order to be cancelled when I did see those violations happen. I do completely understand that McDonald's employs mostly younger kids and it is their first job, but that doesn't excuse them to not be trained properly and demand it be done correctly!! They need to be taught and instructed correctly or they will one not know what to do and they will just do as they feel like doing with handling food the food as well as treating their customers as horribly as they do!!! The price of the food has become outrageously high, but the quality of both the food and service you receive at most of the McDonalds locations now has gone outrageously down!! I'd rather spend more time and money to go to a grocery store to buy the items I want, cook my own food that I know will be hot, correct, and safe to eat!! Had a hard day at work and stopped here late because I was hungry. Ordered a Big Mac meal with no lettuce because I hate freaking lettuce. Not even worth the one star. First understand that you're eating at a McDonald's, then lower your standards by about 80%. The only positive note I can give this location is that at the worst possible point in death via starvation, these people MIGHT be able to keep you alive.. but don't go through drive through. They will ask you to pull forward to buy time to prepare your meal, then forget about you. WOW! Where to start...loud mouth manger, non stop yelling at the workers and customers. The debit/credit card machine had hair, crumbs and dust all over it. My husband and I ordered 2 Big Mac Meals and a 10 piece mcnugget. First, it took 10+ minutes to get our order. The burgers were cold, so cold the cheese was still cold, and not much bigger than a half dollar. The Nuggets were cooked in old grease. We asked a cashier for our money back, she took our receipt and came back a few minutes later with 2 more Big Macs..and no refund. No "I'm sorry." Just a "come back again." To which I replied, "Nope! Terrible customer service. The manager stood with the workers and talked to the workers as I was the only person in the lobby with no one in the drive through. The Quarter Pounder bun was not toasted and the burgers were dried out. We threw it in the trash and went to Subway across the road. I'm active duty military with 24 years of service and I have visited 50 countries and lived overseas for 12 years.
