I never waste time leaving reviews, but this time I just have to. At 5am I dropped into McD's at Stony plain 4201 South Park Drive. Having approached the building, I was surprised by fancy retro-automobile on display by the entrance, I even took a picture of it. I came inside, was immediately approached by Antonio (supervisor) who sincerely greeted me and took my order: two sausage-and-eggers "no cheese". As I was waiting by the till, I noticed that Antonio received two wrapped sandwiches, checked them and said to the kid who made them "no cheese, please". They took it back, returned 30 seconds later, Antonio CHECKED IT AGAIN, said "thank you" to the kid and packed it into bag. That's dictionary definition of "ultimate customer service and attention". I wouldn't have thrown a fit and returned it had they put cheese in it, because I worked at McD's and I know how difficult and exhausting it is (multitasking at the utmost), but when you get such royal treatment and attention to detail your life gets brighter and you want to pass this feeling forward to other people. So, kudos to Antonio, to owners who hire such phenomenal people and create environment where everybody feels like royalty. P.S. As I was leaving, an older gentleman approached me saying: "Good early morning, young man. I noticed you took a picture of that car on display" "Yeah, thing of beauty, isn't it?" "Let me show you something" he took out his phone and showed picture of silver 1969 corvette stingray. "Amazing, looks brand new" - I said. "You want some cappuccino? It's best in town here." "Thank you, sir, I need to get home and have some sleep" He wished me good luck as I left. Hmm...I used to think St.Albert was not bad, now I'm seriously considering moving to Stony Plain. read more

I've got to agree with that other reviewers. I stopped here for a vanilla latte at about 10am. Took a considerable amount of time in the drive thru and then realized about 5 minutes down the highway that they forgot to add the vanilla. Oy... first world problem but really doesn't make me want to come back. I have to say that the bistro seats outside looked cute and the antique car in glass display was unlike anything I had ever seen at a McD before. Another issue with this location action is that since it's located on highway 16A you can only enter the parking lot from the cross side street. Out of their control certainly but also a hassle and more time consuming than typical parking lots. read more

I used the drive-thru tonight. The lady who took my order kept interrupting me as I was ordering. Then she has the audacity to ask if I want fries after I've specifically stated, "That's everything!" Bottom line is our order taker tonight could use some listening and communication skills. The daytime staff inside the restaurant are typically better. At least my food was hot and fresh. That is about the only redeeming part of my visit tonight. McDonald's is by far my first choice. I was here tonight because it was 2330h and they were open. read more

Walked in after driving 5 hours really needed to go to the washroom and their entire washrooms are out of order and there was 1 person ahead of me ordering and 1 person waiting for their order. I waited 10 minutes to be served. The lady in front of me had some sort of coupon which they needed a managers code they yelled manager code out loud for about 6 minutes until someone came out and helped. The other guy waiting for his coffee also ordered muffins and their were no muffins so waited for the manager again for 5 minutes so they could refund. I waited about 12 minutes for 6 chicken nuggetts and fries. Everyone is yelling at the back and one kid says well im leaving, while waiting forever for my foood. Not friendly people, management seems like they just dont care and wont train their staff properly. read more

I always order a Jr.chicken sandwich with an added tomato when I go to Mcdonalds. I got home and what do you know.. no tomato. Damn tomato cost me an extra 10 cents. I was starving so I ate the sandwich and went back for another sandwich and to complain. I specifically asked not to be charged for the second tomato because I didn't get the first one; they charged me for a second tomato. I mean f**k guys its a F*****g tomato slice. The crusty old supervisor seemed really upset that I wanted a f*****g tomato slice for free. She asked the crew member taking my order why I wanted a free tomato and then refused. read more

If I could give it zero stars I would. I can honestly not recall a time that I have been through the drive through and received the correct order. Once they even forgot to put the hamburger patty IN THE BUN. Pretty lacklustre feeling when you get home and realized you just paid for some buns and ketchup. LIKE YOU HAVE ONE JOB. BURGER TO BUN. Called in trying to complain after going through drive-thru and was harassed over the phone by the manager because I 'had no idea what I was talking about'. Wish I recorded the call because it was most horrific customer service I've ever experienced. Some of the management is a nightmare here wow needs a serious upgrade. read more

Worst drive thru experience ever! Every time I have used the drive thru my order has been made wrong in some way. If I ask for extra bacon I don't get extra bacon, if I ask for a double Big Mac i get a regular one, and the worst of all is when I order a McGriddle (which is delicious) I get their inedible breakfast biscuit (which usually happens on my way to work, so returning to get what I payed for is out of the question). I have gone inside to order as well but had to wait behind a customer for over 5 minutes, the customer in question was actually an employee on lunch (still in uniform) describing their order in WAY to much detail. Seriously this location (and the location in Spruce grove) need to get their act together. read more

Worst McDonalds ever! They raised their prices $0.70 higher than every other McDonalds in Edmonton and surrounding areas. I have given back food and coffee for being cold on MULTIPLE occasions. They are slow and unorganized. I will not give them another dime of my money. read more
