Leduc has more than it's fair share of burger joints, but I'm always happy to go to Ryan's Drive-In when I get a chance. I've never actually been inside the restaurant (well as Ryan's, when it was the KFC I was there a few times so I know it's pretty small inside), but I've gone through the drive-thru a few times and I'm always impressed with the food here. The burgers are delicious, and aren't super greasy. I've had their milkshakes here too, and they're always really good, although I can't do milkshakes from anywhere anymore :( That aside Ryan's has good food and decent prices. One of the things I always get when I come here are the corn fritters, which you can get with jam and are delicious. I don't know of any other burger place around here that has corn fritters. The one thing I can say about Ryan's, more of a "just so you know" and not a complaint is that it takes a few minutes for the food. Usually a good five minutes at least, but I'm okay with that because I know they're not just reheating old burger patties as quick as possible to send you on your way. If you are in Leduc skip out on the chain burger places and give the loca Ryan's Drive-In a try. read more

I wanted to give this place a fair chance since it's very popular in Leduc. I have been here 3 times now and each time I was extremely underwhelmed. The first I had a mushroom swiss burger with sweet potato fries, the patty was very this and seemed like it was store bought and the bun was dry. The second time I had a donair and fries, it wasn't terrible but nothing to rave about and over priced in my opinion. This last time I had their regular poutine the gravy tasted prepackaged (starchy), they used grated mozzarella and the portion was fairly small (especially for 5.50$). The fries here are very good so I suppose if you get just those it's okay but it's not a place to make a special trip for. read more

This place is a gem. It's been here for a long while and a lot of locals don't even know it! Or if they do know it, they haven't gone (it doesn't look pretty...) If you do know it and have gone, though, you're good. I haven't had bad food here. I am more of a chicken burger girl, and the buffalo chicken burger is solid. It's massive and made with actual chicken (not some meat by product that used to be chicken, maybe, before it was processed). The fries are good (ask for them to be cooked crispy), and the milkshakes are ridiculously good in the summer! read more

Just moved to Leduc and we're slowly exploring the local food scene. My husband finally convinced me to give Ryan's Drive-In a try today and I'm glad he did. We opted for take-out (which is always a gamble for the first experience); our food sat in their paper bags and styrofoam boxes for almost 30 min before we could eat them and it was still delicious!! He came home with: one quarter pound house burger (mayo, bbq sauce, sauteed onions, mushrooms, bacon, cheese), one quarter pound bison burger, one order of chicken nuggets & small fries, one large fries and one large onion rings. They gave my son a free strawberry & banana milkshake (almost a first) and blew his mind. It was fresh fruit and super flavourful! *The Food* 1. My toddler is a very picky eater and has become a sort of nugget connoisseur - he ate 3 nuggets before any fries = 2 thumbs up! 2. Onion rings were still crunchy and warm. They aren't fancy but they would satisfy any O.R. craving 3. The fries are homecut (skin on). By the time I ate them they were limp but I definitely could taste the freshness. They didn't taste like oil. A small gravy was included and it was fairly decent. In my opinion it needed a little kick to take the quality from good to excellent. If there had been a pinch more ground pepper or even some morsels of real beef (roasted not ground) in it, THEN it would have blown my mind. 4. I had the House Burger and it was very good. Real ingredients make a world of difference. I was worried that because we did take-out, the juices would saturate the bun. NOPE. The bun was fresh and fluffy. The meat was expertly seasoned because it wasn't under flavored and I'm getting zero "burp back". The cheese was real and melted perfectly. The bacon.... oh the bacon.... HELLO! Very flavorful and "just" crisp. I love love sauteed mushrooms & onions and these were done perfectly. 5. Husband had the Bison burger. I don't think he chewed it. Enough said. We will be back. We stopped at Ryan's Drive in based on reviews that we had read on the Yelp app. We were certainly not disappointed. Since we are American, we did not know what donair meat was. The gentleman that took our order patiently explained the menu to us and was so sweet. The food was outstanding and so fresh! I only wish that we were going to be in Edmonton longer than overnight so that we could enjoy this wonderful restaurant again. read more

So all in all not a bad place. Everything is made to order and fresh. Pizza burger is about what you would expect. Burger patt,i mozzarella and marinara sauce. It wasn't bad. The cheeseburger was also not bad. The prices are low so it's affordable. I just thought the patti size reminded me of like McDonald's or any other chain out there. Nice and big around, but paper thin. Now this may be what they're going for and it's definitely better tasting than any big chain, but I was hoping for a bit better than that. The side of onion rings and the chicken nuggets were a rip off. 6 small prepackaged nuggets and a small handful of onion rings. Again prepackaged. I do not recommend those. And now the authentic thick milkshakes. Now THIS they do right. Rich, creamy, thick, beautiful but not too sweet. Now this I would go back for again and again. And I'd happily order a burger again to go with it. Just without any side dishes as they didn't impress. Overall a good place giving the big chains some locally owned competition. read more

Everyone needs to have a donair poutine from Ryan's at least once in their life! Amazing! But...it's the only thing I really like in the menu. Everyone has been hyping and raving about it so I've given it a solid three tries and meh. I think the burger patties are WAY to small for the bun size and that's a big no-no for me. The staff is super super friendly though! Two great guys there. So when the fam jam wants Ryan's I'll just be sticking to the donair poutine. read more
