Incompetent doesn't begin to describe the staff at this McDonald's. This is a 24 hour McDonald's and they are supposed to have their lobby open at 5 AM. I placed an order on the app that was supposed to be ready in 2 to 5 minutes at 4:50 AM. Even if I wait a couple of extra minutes, there's no reason for my order to not be ready right at 5 AM. I get there and I waited and I waited and I wait at the door until the janitor comes up to me, looked at my phone with the order number andl goes back and tells them my order number. Then, I weigh more and more and I'm getting impatient because I have a 2 Hour Dr. ahead of me and the time delay is starting to make me late. Then, the janitor starts to argue with me that they're not supposed to be necessarily open at 5 AM despite what their sign says. A 24-hour drive-through McDonalds off exit 240 on I-75. Go west to get to Ruskin, east to get to Sun City Center. I swung in here because it's open later than the Ruskin McD's and I needed a few burgers. They're much less crowded than the other location, and the people I interacted with were all as pleasant as a person working at a McDonald's at 11:55 pm could be. So good job, I guess. When the women work the drive through- the place is fantastic. When the men work it - it's a disaster. I just went through the drive through again. I ordered 3 sausage egg and cheese mcmuffins, 2 hash browns and an iced tea. I got 2 bacon egg and cheese biscuits and an egg mcmuffin (with ham). Ugh. Well they got the hash browns right. There are only a few times when you get so frustrated with slow service when it is busy. It's usually justifiable - heavy drive thru, Friday night after a big game nearby, etc. Today was no justification. My first visit here and the drive-thru was wrapped around the building. I walked inside thinking it would be quicker only to find a VERY messy beverage area with straw wrappers, an overfilled trash can, and ice everywhere. Behind the counter looked dirty as well. Cups filled with melted ice cream in it to catch the drip from the ice cream machine, messy looking workers (one on her pink cell phone), 2 managers in black shirts showing no initiative or urgency which seemed to have trickled down to the rest of the staff. One worker was off the clock hanging out. After all was said and done, 2 people who came after me with larger orders both got their food before me. I got mine 13 minutes after I received my receipt. This is the best run McDonald's I've EVER encountered! Seriously! On my 2/12/16 and 2/13/16 visits I observed a very efficient and customer friendly operation that included two employees standing in the drive-thru taking orders and numbers provided to customers with orders taking a little extra time to prepare to allow the customer to sit down and have their order delivered to their table. She made everyone use bags because there are no trays when there was a pile of trays with paper on them right next to her that another employee said was good to no. She yelled at and said no trays, then she messed up everyone's order and made an already awkward visit more uncomfortable because she was humph and get upset each time someone said that they got the wrong food or we're missing items. She shouldn't of been on the line. Plus the food we did receive was mediocre at best. The cheeseburgers were so dry that they were impossible to swallow.
