Really enjoyed this great local pub. I had the fish and chips and it was exactly right---a large filet served hot with just the right ratio of crispy batter to fish. Will not return: dirty tableware. The wide rim of the chowder plate has dried smudges. Either they didn't wipe it off the overspill cleanly, didn't wash it clean, or it's unwashed. There is a bit of ketchup (?) on my grilled salmon plate. I normally would not have picked on it. But this seems to confirm the smudgy soup plate isn't an isolated matter. Alex, the bartender, is a gem! She is naturally welcoming & makes sure your visit is top notch! These wings have always been my favorite, however - all flats and fried hard is the way to go! There is tons of parking, indoor and outdoor patio seating which is covered and has a ton of tvs as well as tvs everywhere inside. They also offer to go. First time at Glory Days. We were seated and our waiter greeted us almost immediately. We just happened to mention that it was our first time there. I choose the fish and chips and wife the chicken ranch wrap. Both came with fries. Her wrap was part of the daily dinner deal that included drink and appetizer. Out of nowhere a gentleman appeared with a plate of appetizer food. He introduced himself as the GM and since it was our first visit he brought us a sampler appetizer plate. 2 soft pretzel with cheese sauce, 2 fried mac & cheese balls, 2 dry rub wings and 2 boneless wings. We dug in. To me the best thing were the pretzels, soft, warm.....yummy. Next would be the dry rub wings...very good. Then the boneless wings...a bit dry and lastly the mac and cheese balls, forgettable. My fish was huge on a mountain of fries. Everything was hot and crispy. Good fish, good fries. Wife's wrap was so big she only ate half and took the rest home. It's a sports bar place if you don't mind a gazillion tv screens. It's a nice place, good food and friendly staff. Very slow service, food comes out inedible due to dirty fryer oil ( if they even get the order right which they usually don't ), and the restaurant itself is not properly cared for. Who doesn't love some good food while watching a football game? My family and I came up here on Monday to watch Monday night football. Our server was Alfonso - he was great ! We were seated right away and he came over immediately and greeted us. We started off with the pretzel appetizer with beer cheese and it was sooo good. For our drinks I ordered the $6 margarita, but added strawberry flavor. My husband ordered tequila and soda water with extra lime. For our entrees, my son got the kids Mac and cheese. I got the chicken wrap but Buffalo style with fries (it was so good) and my husband got the hero burger. All of our meals were delicious ! Overall, we had a great experience here. Glory Days is a nice sports bar/restaurant you can get some pretty good food, drinks and watch a game. They offer a variety of beers and drinks. Service could step up a bit, seems like the waitresses and waiters are always distracted. Lot of side chat. Also, the floor is a big concern. Every time we go there is slippery. It's like someone just takes baby oil and pours it all over the floor. I'm not sure why management hasn't done something to address it. Why wait until one of your customers or staff go down. I would have given a four star except the issues with staff and the floor pulled it down to a three. Because if the staff is distracted then you know the food comes out a lil late and not to hot. Since my first review, we've been back to this Glory Days on three occasions. The wings and the convenient location drew us back over here. We tried the loaded pulled pork nachos and they were a whole freakin' experience! That was so enjoyable! We've tried four different wing flavors and every one of them is as good as the previous one. We've also tried a couple of cocktails. The pineapple mojito was good. Their old fashioned was nice. But the PB&J Old Fashioned? That was one of the most delicious cocktails I've had in a while! I know it sounds weird, but if you enjoy a quirky, but delicious Old Fashioned, try it! Service has been excellent these last three times! Friendly, helpful staff. Went here for a quick bite near my hotel. When I arrived, I noticed the place 1/4 full at max and the TV's playing college football. I was given a high top table not too far from the bar. A waitress took my food and drink order. I had the every day margarita special for 6 bucks, and the 8 charcoal grilled wings for 13 bucks. The margarita was alright, but of course water was downed, only to give a slight buzz. Plus, most likely the tequila they used was pretty cheap. What else did you expect for 6 bucks? The wings were at first tender and flavorful, at least for the thighs. But after eating the drums and the 4th thigh, it started to get dryer and chewy. It got pretty dry such that it was almost inedible. But the extra hot sauce that I requested added some good heat and flavor. The carrots, celery, and ranch provided a nice cool down from the heat. The service was fast and friendly, with the waitress checking up a couple times to see how things were going. The atmosphere was very stereotypical sports bar setting, with plenty of TV's to watch the games. There was a bar on the side with color changing LED lights. However, what surprised me was that the crowd was so quiet, that if the TV audio was turned off, it would make a library blush. Too boring for my taste. Even with the boring crowd and the above average food, I would still recommend the restaurant. While the food could be a bit better and the atmosphere more glorified, I did appreciate the good service and restaurants efforts. I would go there again for their drink specials. Plus, being near the Aldi grocery store, it would be a good place to have a buzz after shopping. read more
