Most people don't think of McDonald's as "fine dining," but when it's 6 AM, you've been woken up out of a perfectly good dream by a work issue, and your stomach is staging a full-blown revolt--this place becomes a five-star establishment. I frequent this McDonald's often enough that I've graduated to creating what I like to call "Franken-Meals." Coffee (on sale in the app--because caffeine tastes better when it's discounted), biscuits and gravy, a sausage patty, and scrambled eggs. Sometimes I throw in a hash brown if I'm feeling bold. Then I take it all home, pile it together, and voilà: my own custom McDonald's breakfast bowl. Gordon Ramsay would cry, but I'm smiling. Today, disaster struck--I forgot to add the biscuits and gravy to my mobile order. (That's like forgetting the "beef" in a Big Mac.) But the attendant in the drive-thru saved the day, closed the gap, and restored peace to my morning. These folks are fast, polite, and never flinch at my bizarre a la carte creations. Honestly, they deserve a medal--or at least more five-star reviews. So here's mine: five stars, not just for the food, but for the people who turn a bleary-eyed, hangry morning into something worth laughing about. Drive through is EXTREMELY slow. I mean like 20 minutes slow. And the drive through windows were dirty.

We enjoy checking out quirky roadside attractions, so when I found out that there was one located at this McDonald's, we had to check it out. It's a large Ronald McDonald statue, accompanied by a variety of his food buddies (drink, fries, etc). It's located right next to a nice outdoor seating area featuring picnic tables in a little shelter, overlooking a nearby lake. A fun and unexpected touch to find at a McDonald's. As with many McDonald's these days, you can walk in and order at the displays, grab a number card and sit at your table, where the friendly servers will bring the trays out to you. Fast, efficient, food was hot and as expected. We went with Deluxe Spicy McCrispy sandwiches, fries, and Chicken McNuggets Happy Meals. Good visit. read more

My FAVVVVV Mickie D's! Usually pretty consistent with food. I'm sure the staffing is always changing over due to the industy... but ... I've never had a compaint! From my experience, staff are alwasy friendly and welcoming whether it is day or night. Love the Ronald statue, that's always a cute tough. Traffic is never bad here. The establishment always gets the customers through the line pretty timely! My food orders are typically always executed just as requested! Which is especially pleasing because I typically always have special requests. :P A+! read more

Went in side to use the bathroom and get food 4 of us we stood at the counter for 10 min all the employees just keep looking at us so we said hello can we get some help they still just stood there we said it again the manager looked at us and said very rudley we are not open yet which it was 6:54 in the morning and there door was open like what the heck man then she said very rudely you can use the It's like well. We would still have to pay for it at the counter. So what really makes the difference? But we left and we won't ever go back there again. Lol so I mobile order on the app when I got to the parking lot, chose "pick up inside restaurant" and walked up to the door to find a sign on the door saying the lobby is closed until further notice. So I call the store from my phone and explain the situation, and this lady cuts me off saying "you have to go through the drive through." to which respond, "yes but the reason I chose in-store is because i'm in a semi truck". Without hesitation, he jumps in again and says "walk through the drive through, I locked my doors". When i ask, "walk..? is that safe between the cars?", she stays silent on the like for a good 20 seconds before I ask "...hello?" and I get the click of her hanging up. Let's get one thing straight. The customer is always right no? Well this woman had the audacity to confront us about the issue that she had created from table scraps. Said lady, told us we had to get a medium milkshake instead of the large that we asked for and paid for in full. She confronted us with such an attitude none other than Lucifer himself could attain. She offered no second option and ripped us off 49 cents. it was my first time using mobile ordering. I wasn't sure how it worked. so I pulled up to the pickup window thinking that is where I was supposed to go. The name of the worker was John B. he came to the window I was at and said you will have to pull around to the speaker because he didn't have a computer at the window. it was 4 digits. RS14. when I pulled around he recited the number that I told him. i asked him why did you make me pull back around? he said if you want to be a smartass you can leave! this workers name is John B. This McDonald's was horrible! First and foremost they would not accept my coupon that was valid. Secondly they were rude to elderly people when they got their coffee order wrong. I witnessed it with my own eyes. Thirdly the food was burnt to a crisp. And lastly the service there was horrible. They really need to work on their customer service skills because their staff was not very friendly. Including the general manager that I was there. the food was absolutely disgusting, cold, hard chicken nuggets as if they were sitting out, soggy fries just like they were sitting out as well, i kept asking for sauce and i asked literally 4 times and they still didn't give it to me, at the speaker AND at the window. i have had a problem with one of the workers before they worked there so it could've been that but i'm not sure, (it was my ex boyfriend) contact me for the name of the worker. but i doubt this will be read by the manager (usually work places don't read these sadly.) i went back inside to get my sauce, and the manager was very nice to me, though i waited 5 minutes with no one in line so i could get the missing sauce. read more

I wanted so badly to give this McDonald's a lovely review but here's what happened. I went in the door and the restaurant was clean. I was treated very kindly by the woman that was on the register. My food was actually brought over to me and when I mentioned cream for my coffee which I was willing to go get myself the guy went back and got me some cream and sugar. That's all the good stuff but it's when the music started that messed it all up for me. I was tired I've had a very long morning and all I wanted was a little bit of peace and quiet to read my book but the music was loud and you just couldn't concentrate. I took my food out to my car where I could have a little bit of quiet but I did call the manager and told her why I was in my car. She said there was nothing that they could do about the music because the owner said he wanted to have it in the store. I had no problems with them playing music in the store but it was loud and I don't think there's any reason for that. It was also rock music but not hard rock. When all you want is a little bit of quiet do you have to sit down and listen to this kind of music at this volume and the worst part was nobody was willing to do anything. Manager did say she would talk to the owner about turning it down a little bit but I'm not going back so I don't know if they ever will. read more

Stopped my semi because they have truck parking. Complete waste of time. They are supposed to open at 5am according to hours on door. Arrived 5:40am Saturday morning. Doors still locked. Two employees casually eating at table. I wait 5 minutes in lobby. 3rd employee casually wanders over eating a hash brown to unlock door. Guy who unlocks door then goes outside and disappears. Girl behind counter tells me to wait and walks off. Hash brown area looks disgusting like it hasn't been wiped down in a week. I wait a few minutes and leave. I Go next door to Tim Hortons, super clean store and fast service even though there are two people ahead of me I'm in and out in 3 minutes. Plus, they have fresh donuts. :) read more

I got off the exit to get a quick large glass of sweet tea with three lemons. It was bad enough that I had become lost getting off of a previous exit and not ever finding the McDonald's. I drove a half hour out of my way and finally ended up at the Sunberry McDonald's. I ordered my large sweet tea with 3 lemons in the drive through window. When I got up to the second window to receive my tea she said "wait one minute. I am putting in your lemons. I took a quick drink while waiting on change and quickly told the young snippy blonde that something tastes off about the tea. I asked her was the tea fresh? She became indignant and was very put out that I asked. I said I don't know what is wrong with it but I'm telling you that something tastes funny about this tea like it's starting to turn bad. She said, "Well, I did exactly as you told me to do and put the three lemons in your tea. Sorry about that." I looked at her in disbelief that this was her answer, with her snotty little attitude. She never offered to take the drink back, or exchange it. She just glared at me and I just ended up driving off extremely thirsty and very frustrated. I drank one more drink just to make sure it wasn't my imagination. Yes indeed it was awful. Furthermore it did not taste like lemon. I open the lid and there was no lemons. I wondered if maybe the lemons were at the very bottom of the glass so I stirred the glass. I pulled over to the side of the road because by now I'm really getting angry. I knew it wasn't going to drink anymore tea so I put my head to the bottom of the glass just to see if there was three lemons at the bottom. No lemons. I'm not saying people can't forget things. It happens all the time. But she went to great efforts to explain to me that she would be a minute because she was putting the three lemons in my tea. Then explained after the fact when I complained, " I did exactly as you asked me to do and put three lemons in your tea." She deliberately lied. She did not forget. She lied before and after. Why lie ? So when I pulled over to the side the road with my hand dripping with nasty tea. I tried to call the McDonald's. No answer. No answering machine. I tried for the next two hours. I'm still trying to call them. No answer. No answering machine. I went and looked at all the other reviews and realized that I am in a long line of dissatisfied customers. When you become angry enough that you have to stop along the road to call and to write a bad review about a McDonald's you're visiting while traveling through, I guess that speaks to how badly their restaurant is. I'm guessing that the restaurant manager will never read these yelp reviews. Today an employee told my mother to shut up after a mistake occurred with her order. all my mother wanted was for the mistake to be fixed. Seriously. What is so hard about establishments keeping decent bathrooms? My wife and I stopped here to switch drivers and to go to the bathroom. Nothing more. The restaurant was in fine shape based on a two second look-around. The bathrooms? Not so much. Graffiti, broken hand driers and paper all over the floors. Is it that difficult for places to send someone into the bathroom once per hour to sweep/mop as needed? Report to their bosses that something is busted or broken so it can get fixed? Really unhappy with this McDonalds location. That terrible back road leading from the light on Rt. 36 has several, nasty pot holes and one claimed my front tire today. That will no doubt cost me $$$ Hundreds. I did get my food before the tire became completely flat, however. Get it fixed already, Mickey D's. From the photos I took, you can see they had filled in some rocks at some point. Problem is, that only lasts so long. But at least refill the rocks if nothing else. read more

Are negative stars possible? I can't remember ever giving a one star review for anything or anyplace. Stopped in for for a quick beverage and waited 10 minutes to order (only about 8 people in line, most waiting for orders to be finished, drive thru not super busy). Got a Diet Coke pretty quickly and I was told that it would be a few minutes for my coffee. No problem. After waiting about five minutes, a guy in front of me tosses his receipt on the counter and walks out of the restaurant. I was curious and picked up the receipt, noticed it was for coffee, and then noticed that the pots were completely empty. No one was getting even close to setting them up to brew new pots. I waited a few more minutes, saw no one was noticing this, tried to get the attention of a manager and or one of the workers, and decided to leave without said coffee. Rotten service. If McDonalds has a list of cardinal sins in its playbook, empty coffee pots would have to be toward the top of the list I'd think. read more

This location is near I-71 so it is convenient when I am traveling. However, in the past year the quality, cleanliness, and service at this location has plummeted. The tables are rarely wiped down, food is on the floor even in non-busy times while staff are just standing around, and wait times are lengthy. This location is known in my family as the "Slow McDonald's" because it always takes so long to get your food. Last Sunday, during breakfast hours, we waited over 30 minutes in the drive-through. The line in the lobby was equally as slow. I'm a fan of McDonald's, especially Egg McMuffins, but if you want high quality food in a reasonable amount of time, don't go to this location. read more
