Canadian McDonalds is superior to American McDonalds - there I said it. I saw so many menu items like cotton candy milkshakes, hot honey chicken McCrispies, buffalo chicken poutine, Spicy Chili & Creamy Chipotle Fish McWraps, cinnamon swirl buns, cheesecake McFlurries, Vanilla Chai Frappes that are NOT on the American menus that it made me realize that Canucks are beating us Yanks at our own McD game bruh. Also service very attentive and better than the U.S. and A. Interior ambiance very spacious with many seats and high-tech kiosks to order from. Highly recommended and this location is near the America/Detroit-Canada/Windsor border, the Ambassador Bridge and the University of Windsor. Check it out! read more

Not to be confused with MancDonald's, which is full of people from Manchester. This McDonald's is across the border from Detroit in Windsor, and it's 24 hours delightfully. We don't do chains when in Canada generally, and we only stopped here because we were done trying all the Bubble Tea in Windsor, and it was very very late at night and we'd been hanging out in the car plucking up the courage to cross the border. Having done all of that we decided to give it a go, and this is what we got was this iffy pre-crossing snack. The Crossing went fine and the food wasn't bad. It's definitely better than a lot of the American locations and service is noticeably nicer. read more

Who knew the menu and kids toys in Canada would be so different? Instead of a Sonic the Hedgehog toy, we opted for a hardcover book(!) twitch our son's happy meal. The content, vocabulary, length, and illustrations all exceeded expectations. Also appreciated the compostable spork with our poutine! read more

When we lived in Illinois, we took a weekend trip up through Detroit into Canada because (1) we could, and (2) Canadian McDonald's serve McChickens!!!!!! It was worth it! The fact Canada still does it shows their awesomeness...just saying! read more

The Mc Donalds by ambassador bridge is relentless.....i have allergies to onions......and ordered no Onions due to allergy. They served the burger with onions and we notified the worker and all she did was brush the onions off and still served the burger. Never stepped foot back again. read more

One of my favorite places in the North America and likely the entire world is Windsor, Ontario. If you don't know, Windsor is the first town when you cross the Canadian border from Detroit and also home to a Wal-mart, a large casino, several Tim Horton's and two McDonald's. And in case are wondering, I've been to all those places on more than one occasion. And while I each establishment is wonderful (understatement), this McDonald's holds the highest place in my heart. In all fairness, I like pretty much every McDonald's I've ever been to but this McDonald's is easily in my top ten, maybe five. Tbh, I'm not even sure where to begin. Just kidding, I am. Let's talk about the poutine. Yes, McDonald's in Canada serves poutine, that gooey glob of fries, cheese curds and gravy. And in case you're wondering, it's great. What was even better about the Poutine itself is the fact when I ordered it here, I didn't feel judged violently and that didn't upset me. Also, the atmosphere and the employees. One word: Wow. It's all fabulous. I couldn't say a bad thing about either if I tried. Like, it's Canada and a Mcdonald's. So, there's that. And finally, the wait. I'm a top executive and rarely have time to flop around. That being said, quick food in top eating establishments is highly important. So my 4 children and I used the McDonalds parking lot to park at assuming that we would go eat after their track and field meet across the road. When we returned to eat we noticed our van was gone. Upon speaking to the manager he said that he had several vehicles towed that had been parked for an extended time. These were all potential customers! I am certain that events like this would increase sales 2-fold. Not the kind of customer service that I would expect out of a "world class chain". I order from here about 1X a week and the food is consistently good. The sitting area is nice and they have a fireplace too. Its a good place to have a coffee or a meal and is a nice alternative to Timmy's. Sometimes when I go to other McD's in a big city, the food quality is very iffy and service is subpar. Last time I ordered from here, I used omninoms.com to deliver the food as I was too busy to get to the McD's. Basically you place your order on there and they deliver it for a small charge. read more

Ah-maze-ing!!!! I am so glad that I stumbled upon this place. At first I thought it was a themed restaurant... Expected it to look like some old dude's farm on the inside. Pleasantly surprised to see it look like a clean, comfortable, local quick service restaurant. The food is INCREDIBLE!!!! There's this hamburger that they call a "Big Mac" that is To. Die. For. You have to try it... Its made with an all beef patty, special sauce, pickles, onions, lettuce, and cheese ON A SESAME SEED BUN!!! Oh my!!!! Anyway... If you are ever in Windsor check this place out. This store has screwed up so many of my orders I refuse to go back. They're lucky they have so many tourists visiting from the near by border crossing, because they're well known in the neighborhood for being completely incompetent. The service at this McDonald's has been slow and terrible ever since I can remember. They can't even get a drink order right. Next time I'll be happy to go a little further to get better service. read more
