To Whoever It May Concern, I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding an appalling experience at your Wake Forest McDonald's located at 1110 US-1 N, Youngsville, NC 27596 on April 19, 2025. We arrived at 2:39 PM and did not leave until well after 3:15 PM due to the outrageous lack of service and disrespectful behavior from staff. My party and I waited in the drive-through for over 30 minutes with no response at the intercom, cashier window, or food pickup window. Another customer--a truck driver waiting in curbside spot #4--had also been there just as long. She could not use the drive-through due to the size of her semi-truck, so we spoke with her directly and told her we were going to pull around to see what was going on. We then observed a male employee wearing a pink hoodie with graphic lettering standing outside the restaurant and casually talking to someone in a grey truck. He remained there the entire time we were waiting in the drive-through and made no attempt to return to work or assist any customers. We even returned to the intercom and waited another 5 minutes, hoping our presence would encourage someone to help--but no one responded. When we finally pulled up to the cashier and pickup windows, both were completely unattended. We could see multiple employees walking around in the back, but no one approached us or acknowledged us for several more minutes. Eventually, an employee wearing a brown short wig and a blue McDonald's quarter-zip sweater came to the window. When we explained that we had placed an online order, she rudely told us it didn't appear in her system. As we tried to clarify and explain the situation--mentioning that another customer was also still waiting--she slammed the screen door shut in our faces mid-sentence. A short time later, the male employee in the pink hoodie returned but did not acknowledge us at all and went straight to the back. After all this, we finally received our order--just a large fry and a large sweet tea--after nearly 40 minutes of waiting. We attempted one last time to inform the woman in the brown wig that the truck driver at curbside pickup #4 was still waiting for her food. Before we could finish our sentence, she once again closed the window and walked away without responding. We remained for another 5 minutes, hoping someone would return with an explanation or the other customer's order. No one came back. This level of service was beyond unacceptable. The disrespect, negligence, and unprofessionalism shown by these employees is a disgrace to your brand. We were not only ignored but treated with blatant rudeness while just trying to receive the food we ordered and paid for. I am requesting that the employees involved--specifically the male in the pink hoodie and the woman with the brown wig--be terminated immediately. Their behavior is unacceptable and entirely inappropriate for any customer-facing business. If this issue is not taken seriously and appropriate action is not taken, I will escalate this matter further and make others aware of this experience. I will never return to this location ever. read more

We stop in here occasionally for our standard large black coffee and iced coffee with sugar free vanilla and so far, our orders have always been correct and prompt and the service has always been fast and friendly. On the weekends, the double lines in drive thru can get quite long but always move quickly. Very rarely, we've gotten meals here and again, always correct, quick and friendly employees. Is this a five star restaurant? Nope. It's McDonald's. But, if you need fast food and want it served fast and hot, this location has never let us down. read more

They have signs up about the coin shortage and recommending that people use cards, yet they aren't taking cards now and are requiring cash. This has to be the worst McDonald's I have been to. Due to having kids, and limited dining options in the area, we have given this restaurant many chances. They have failed almost every time. I honestly cannot remember the last time I received everything on my order. Today was the big breakfast. This should come with a hash brown, but it was not in the bag. Last time we didn't get the sauces we ordered for nuggets. Time before that, one of two happy meals had no nuggets, just fries. We even had a child get a burger with no meat in their happy meal. Just condiments on a bun. Complaints go unanswered. It's hard to not assume it's just intentional fraud at this point. How can a place strike out almost every time? Horrible! Placed a breakfast order at 10:23 on the app. I got a notification to head over to pick up my order and to my surprise breakfast was over. I explained I placed order ahead and way before 11am. Since the new manager started working at the McDonald's here in Youngsville somethings may be taking a turn towards the better. The nuggets were amazing, French fries were fresh (they went skimpy on the fries meaning I ordered medium and they gave me a size small amount) and the Daily Doubles were great!
