Great sandwiches at this local shop in Youngsville. Order at the counter, they bring food to the table. Tried a pastrami sandwich and also a reuben. Both are generous portions, meat lean, served on panini-toasted rye. No pickle. These are good and very tasty but not really NY deli style.... The Boars Head pastrami is luncheon meat thin sliced on a slicer, not cooked in-house and fresh hand-carved. Nonetheless they are good sandwiches that hit the spot. First time here and was highly recommended by some friends. I'm glad we came. The Hot Pastrami and Tuna Sandwiches we got were delicious. Im a big guy and the sandwich looked smaller than what I typically eat, but this was actually perfectly sized, very filling, and tasted incredible. There's a slew of chip options to choose from too which was unexpected and very cool. But even better was the price and service. For two sandwiches, two chips, and two drinks with carrot cake, it all came to under $30. Not sure about you, but for the value we got and supporting local, that was well worth it. Had a Reuben sandwich. Flanker not overpowering , just enough sauerkraut and dressing. Meat was tender and but easily. Service was friendly and personal You order at the EcoSure and they bring the food out. The co owner was the hostess/cashier and server. Husband and children in the kitchen. If you did not know of it you would drive by. Very casual welcoming busy. Family run business please support it. Lines were out the door at noon today. Prices VERY reasonable in this day and age. Stopped in for lunch on a Sunday. Ordered egg salad on a croissant with tomato, onion and lettuce. No flavor at all. Egg salad could benefit from some salt and pepper. The only flavor I got was butter from the croissant. Probably won't go back. read more

Stopped in amidst the Corona virus shutdown and I have to say, the owner handled this major event with such grace and patience! Charron's, like most restaurants, are take out only for the time being, and they were very busy at lunchtime today. So glad to see people supporting local during this crazy time! We ordered our sandwiches (turkey and havarti for me, chicken salad for my friend) and looked around at the cute decor and great artwork. Around the other side of the restaurant is a coffee area and a mini gift shop area. Our orders were up pretty fast and were very fresh and tasty. My wrap was very big and tasted good, my friends chicken salad on multigrain was stuffed full - very generous. Only thing I did notice, as a previous reviewer mentioned, there are a LOT of notes hanging off of certain chips stating that those aren't part of the combo meals. I could see how that might be taken as mildly "grouchy", I also see that those items are most likely upgrades and cost more... Anyway, lovely restaurant, good food, friendly owner and we will return - carry out and hopefully, dining in when we can! read more

Charron's deli is the best deli by far. It is locally owned by a wonderful family. Their service is spot on. They are quick with the orders. If you are not happy they will do what it takes to make the you happy. Food is delicious. A must try is the grilled pimento cheese sandwich. The bread was perfectly grilled to a golden crispy crust. The pimento cheese was a gooey delectable delight. Ever since I had that scrumptious sandwich I've tried to recreate it at home to no avail. The deli has indoor seating. Very rustic. We stopped in while in Youngsville and the downtown vibe is quaint. The outdoor seating option was actually my favorite part. They have created a nice outdoor space with seating and space for outdoor music or events. We ordered a kid's peanut butter and jelly and turkey subs. I had the tuna melt on rye and it was just average. There are a lot of signs telling you what not to do (do not take these chips as part of combo, do not touch this, do not place item here) that I got tired of reading all the rules. There is no ice machine and you have to carefully get ice cubes out of an ice container and scoop. There is a coffee shop connected to the deli yet I don't know if they are under the same ownership. I live about 30-40 mins away and it was well worth the trip, I usually pass it on the way home from work but never stopped until I had the day off and I'm glad I did!! Best sub sandwiches we've had in 13yrs of living in NC! You don't think a sandwich can be messed up, but trust me it can and it has! The bread matters, theirs is delicious. Everything they place on it is so fresh and the tomatoes are so sweet! The shop and tables are kept in pristine condition, which to me is so important. Lots of variety in snacks and drinks.
