And should raise even MORE of an eyebrow when you do your research and see how many Black educators and admin have either left the school or "moved" to a different position/building. The stands were the basic metal bleacher (bring your own seat cushion!), there were two nice additions. The first was that there were backs on the bleachers! You don't have to sit slumped over. You can actually lean back against a backrest. The second (and nicest) surprise was that the stands were covered! No worries of sun or rain while watching the game. EXCELLENT!! The field was well maintained. Grounds crew was hustling throughout the game to keep it in good condition. Restrooms were clean and easily accessed. Snack bar was available on a Monday evening game and prices were very fair. Cheeseburger, and order of tasty fries and a bottle of water for under $5. Every person I met was friendly and a credit to MHS. Two thumbs up!! p.s. We won! :)

As an 8th grade student (as of 2022-2023 school year) I have been dealing with bullying and when i…read morego to a teacher for help, they will either tell me to suck it up or they will encourage the bullying. When i go to the principal for help, the front office staff will tell me "He isnt here right now but ill leave him a message". Two weeks later i havent gotten a call up to the front office. The lunch food is horrible!!!! the chicken is cold, the milk has been sitting out for god knows how long and the lunch people are really rude. They stole money out of my account! And the teachers, some should get fired but elsewhere the rest of the teachers are average or excellent. The bathrooms are always broken and theere is little to no water that comes out of the faucets. The unirals always get clogged up and flood the bathrooms. The teachers are allowed to cuss at students and ive heard a teacher call a black person a monkey and a n***a. And when i went to report it the staff thought i was joking!! And some teachers throw stuff at students. lunches are expensive for the quality that the food is so i reccomend that you bring a lunch as long as possible. And your required to wear a certian uniform for P.E. which is like 15-20 dollars. Dress code is strict. but its all on girls not boys. As for the LGBTQ+ community supporters and pride supporters, you will be lucky to survive a school year without either getting a concussion by getting your head slamed into a locker door. The locker times are a bit off and you cant put anything in there except unused school items, watter bottles, devices, lunch boxes, and jackets. If you decide to play an insturment, be ready to spend a lot of money. as a clarinet player and a bass clarinet player,i usually spend 600 dollars a year on the insturments for items like reeds, ligatures, cork grease, swabs, maitnence, and cleaning tools. So i reccomend getting an insturment from music and arts but i dont reccomend getting an insturment from amazon, ebay or another website that is sold by a private seller as the insturment could be damaged. There are a few structural problems like cracking in the outer walls, water stains, and poorly sealed exterior doors. Otherwise i would reccomend going to another middle school like lovingood or Mcclure Middle school.

My second granddaughter will be attending this school for the second year. My first granddaughter…read moreattended for 3 years. I cannot compliment the school and staff enough. What a wonderful experience for educational beginnings. The children are happy, socially and academically educated, proud of their school, taught about God, Jesus and prayer, and creatively amazing. I have never met a teacher or any staff member who was not top notch. They truely love the students and their jobs. Tuition is quite fair. Extracurricular activities are available. This school is 5 Star in my opinion, and I highly recommend it.

So when you pay your money and then go in to find out there are no concessions you can't leave to go get something! Nothing but very old bleachers to sit on. They have seen better days. My son's teacher mentioned Dr. Jackson and her tutoring center, The Literacy Doctor, during a…read moreconversation and she spoke so highly of both Dr. Jackson and the center that I could not help but do a bit more research. After reviewing the website, reading a few reviews, and even looking at other tutoring options, I decided to reach out. I submitted the contact from on the website and received an email a few hours later which was great (talk about a prompt response). I scheduled a consult for the next day and received a call from Dr. Jackson who was the sweetest and gave me tons of info about the center along what my son would learn. Needless to say we started a few days after the initial consult and he did a 1 hour assessment with Dr. Jackson during his first session to establish areas of strengths and things that needed to be worked on. Afterwards she provided me with helpful information on where he stood and we discussed goals for him. Fast forward seven months and we couldn't be more happy with his progression in reading, writing, phonics, and reading comprehension. The staff at the center are simply wonderful. Every teacher is so kind and truly meets my kiddo where he is and makes learning fun. They offer tutoring in several areas, provide monthly progress reports, and I love how they celebrate students. If you're looking for a little extra help for your kiddo in a small learning environment where they can learn, grow more confident in their learning and have fun all at the same time, the Literacy Doctor is the place to go!

It seemed to be where she was becoming intimidated by reading and in our family, we love to read! It was heartbreaking and with the emotional component, harder for me (her mother) to TEACH her myself. Literacy Doctor is personable and Dr. Virginie genuinely cares about my daughters progress and invests her time with us! Note my daughter is actually trying to read anything on her own. She is engaged and wants to improve on her own! Some nights I have to make her put her iPad down! We always loved story time but not she wants to read them!! I wish she was a teacher my children had in their school!! You can't go wrong with this program for your children! I wish I had it before there was an issue! Start early! Your kids will love it!!
