She asked me if I wanted to take it instead of her And that she would pay for it for my birthday, which isn't a few days... I am also a massage therapist I love getting massages anytime possible. So I agreed. I showed up and told them that my mom had wanted me to take her appointment and she wasn't feeling well and the receptionist which was very rude. Informed me that since I was not a current client, I could not be seen today by their massage therapist And that my mother would be getting a $95 no-show fee. I explained to her that I thought this was very silly and that I have been a massage therapist and business owner for 15 years and that's a crazy policy. And was told well I'm sure that you would like your clients to cancel in enough time so that you can still get paid now our therapist will not be getting paid because your mother is a no-show. I replied with when my clients aren't feeling well and they have somebody take their spot. I am very grateful For them to take initiative and fill the spot because then I still get paid and I have someone to work on. It's not my fault that your guys policy is not letting your massage therapist get paid. I might've also said that they were assholes. Which I definitely stand by that statement. As a massage, therapist and business owner, I am absolutely appalled at such a policy that hurts clients when they think they're doing something to help out and hurts their therapists as well. Ship this place and go to The medical Massage place in Centralia. My mom had been going there for 10 years prior and we have never had a problem like this. They listen, they show concern. This last time I came in I called a half hour before they were suppose to open. They answered and I told them I through out my back. When I was referred to this company I was given a string of appointments covering approximately 4…read moreweeks. Two days after my first appt appointment, I called to cancel the appointment I had for today because I was still in too much pain from my first appointment to go through the therapy again so soon. I was informed that I would be charged a cancellation fee, and that I had signed paperwork agreeing to that. I understood that cancelling a same day appointment would incur a $25 fee and accepted that financial responsibility. I explained that I was not prepared to go forward with the currently consecutive appointments they have scheduled for me because the pain was severe enough that it feels like I need to wait longer before continuing. The person then said that I would have no guarantee of when they would have any appointments available. I acknowledged and accepted that there would be uncertainty about when they would have availability. The conversation then got weird and it seemed to be a problem for the woman on the other end of the line. I finally said not to bother, I wouldn't schedule any future appointment with them at all. I have no idea what happened or why she took such offense to my request to delay my therapy. Bizarre! I invite a manager to contact me if they would like more information.
