During the signup process, I never felt conned or manipulated. They explained the prices and what the membership offered, but it was never a sales pitch. I know enough people to be on a nodding/fist bump relationship, and for those I don't there's warm fellowship/ community atmosphere there. The owner is one of the certified trainers, and is always greeting people and introducing himself to new faces. The music they play is mostly Christian, and any secular music is always inoffensive. The only complaint I have about the music, is that I wish they played more music from my high school years like DC Talk and the Newsboys. I've been a member of a few gyms over the years, but this is my favorite one by far. If you are looking for a gym, then this is a great place to join. God bless.

Space City Rock Climbing is a small climbing gym tucked away in League City, TX. Compared to other gyms, Space City Rock Climbing is definitely on the older side. This place generally hosts a lot of kids' bdays on the weekends, but as far as real climbing goes, there is a pretty loyal membership group of regulars here too. My friends and I have been climbing here regularly for about a year and a half now, and you quickly learn who the regulars are. We mostly only come here to boulder because that's what we prefer, and I'll admit that the difficulty level is definitely harder than other gyms. Even the easy climbing routes or "green tag" routes are a little harder than the easy routes at other gyms. We don't mind the challenge though because we mostly come here to practice/train and get better at what we love. The staff here is really friendly, and they don't mind giving you some tips if it's your first time climbing. I like that the setters who set the routes here are quite creative as well. This is definitely a gym worth checking out if you're in the League City area, as the next closest climbing gym is around a 40 min drive into Houston.

Was at this gym before they became Force Fitness and it's maintained it's appeal. Not like other gyms where the focus is to make you 'feel' better but to actually push yourself to better. My only complaint is the rubber mats that cover the gym. While soft and supple. They have a lingering smell of rubber that will not go away. It's so strong I can taste the rubber smell in the air. (The only think keeping this a 4 star and not a 5 star) After working out you forget about the smell but as soon as you stop it's a bit repelling. But the staff consists of bodybuilders male and female that know the ins and outs of fitness. You can't go wrong at this gym. If I built a gym I would want it to be like this. (Minus the rubber) haha.

I really wanted to love this place. I have 3 kids I wanted to enroll in gymnastics here, but after…read moregoing to open gym, I am going to look elsewhere. Here were the problems: 1. $10 for an hour of play is pretty steep. It should be $10 for 1 1/2 or 2 hours. But then they made the kids stop playing and put their shoes on when there was still 5 minutes left to play. This was especially frustrating because the price is already pretty high. 2. They divided the kids up into a baby room and a kid room, and the rooms are completely separate. This made it unnecessarily difficult for those of us with a kid in each age group and limited my ability to interact with my kids in this space. When I asked if I my 3 year old could stay in the kid room if I was there I was no a very stern NO. 3. They kept telling the little kids they could only jump on the trampolines going one direction. Which would make sense if there were other kids waiting to use the equipment or it was a structured play time. But that wasn't the case, and the unhelpful and bossy employees were annoying. 4. My younger child kept falling on the trampoline and when I got on the trampoline to help him and show him how to bounce I was told I wasn't allowed on any of the equipment. So I wasn't allowed to help my child have a safe and enjoyable experience. It was frustrating. 5. My older child came to me at the end frustrated that the employees wouldn't help the kids use the equipment in the larger kid area and that the employees were really bossy. I wasn't in the big section, so I didn't see this first hand, but it was consistent with what I saw in the little kid section. We won't be going back.

They lost a star for closing over Spring Break, which is exactly when my daughter needed her class to get out of the house. Also, they do birthday parties, but they don't have enough slots for demand. My daughter requested her bday party here and even though I called 3 weeks ahead of time, they didn't have any openings that weekend (the weekend after Spring Break was over). Bummer.
