Definitely the place to go if you want mold in your attic…read more Bought a townhome in 2014 that had the entire complex's roof done by these guys. First of all, they didn't do a tear off, but put plywood on top of the existing roof. There was so much debris left over in the attic, as well. Guess the building went with the lowest bid, so you get what you paid for. At any rate, they closed up all the roof vents with the plywood and installed ridge venting. I suppose this would work if the intake vents at the eaves were big enough to actually suck in the air, but since the roofers installed these tiny circular vents, no air was coming in the vent the attic. As a result, there is mold growing in the attics of all the townhomes. Of the 4 units that have gone for sale, all inspectors found mold. Because of the age of these buildings, the bathrooms were not properly vented out, but vented into the attic. That is why there were vents on the roof, as the bathroom exhausts were pointed toward these openings. Because these roofers closed them up, moisture was trapped and mold resulted. I had another roofer inspect the job this company did, and he informed me that the poor ventilation from the so-call ridge venting is perpetuating the problem. So I contacted the roofers and they claimed to have NO responsibility for the mold or the poor job they did on the roof. He refused to put in roof vents and claimed it wasn't their problem. I have since remediated the mold and have had roof vents put back into MY unit, but the other 7 have not. It's so sad that this company could care less about the health of their customers and would knowingly put people at risk like this. I'm going to look into this matter further and see if legal action can be taken. Update: Their response: Hah. Tgat some of reason whay we never do a second layer of shingles. I cant provide roof warranty for my customers If i didnt remove existing layers

Maurice from ProTech Restoration came out to assess the damage and to determine if I needed mold remediation services. His assessment was that I should just have the damaged part of the subfloor removed around the toilet. If there was evidence of mold on the underside of the subfloor, or on the joists, to contact him for a re-assessment. Maurice even suggested that I send him a few pictures after the subfloor was removed for him to review. It was determined that all I needed was a partial replacement of the subfloor. I appreciated Maurice's honest professional opinion. He could have easily suggested services that I did not actually need. I hope I never have a need for mold remediation services, but if I do, or if I know anyone who needs this service, I know I will recommend ProTech for an assessment.
