They have not responded until I went to Yelp and requested a quote under a fictitious name. The cracking in the back patio creates uneven surface which is especially visible during the winter. They addressed it last year when they were doing our front steps by saying resealing the patio will make it look really nice. The patio only got worse. When they were pouring the back patio, they had to stop. Next day they came in with the jackhammers to take out half patio. I asked what was going on and it was explained that the concrete had too many rocks. Why would you only remove half the patio? The side of the patio that was pored with the new concrete has had no issues. Not only was service exemplary, but he saved money in marital counseling! Burr Oak Plumbing is definitely not in it for the money! He diagnosed my problem over the phone and gave me sound advice that saved me stress and money. Think telehealth but for my kitchen sink. I thought I fixed my leaking kitchen faucet by replacing the valve cartridge. There was no leak but now the water pressure was low. I called Burr Oak first thing on Sat morning at 6:30 when his web site posted open hours, and he answered right away. I think I woke him up. He knew exactly what the problem was. Without seeing, he predicted I had a pull-out spray head. He told me that my spray head was clogged and I had in fact already fixed the leak. I just needed to soak the spray assembly head in vinegar to remove the particles clogging the spray. And he didn't even charge me money, just asked for this nice review in exchange. As far as marital counseling, I could go back to my wife, who thought I messed up the sink even further, and show definitively and confirmed by the authority that I DID fix the dripping after all! LOL! ... yeah, she was only happy once I finished the vinegar treatment and the faucet was back together. TMI? Nevertheless, thank you Burr Oak! read more

I had two plumbing emergencies in the same week, and Pete was really great both times!! First, my sub pump wasn't draining properly, so I called Pete at Burr Oak Plumbing, and he walked me through a couple of quick fix options. When those didn't work, he gave me an estimate right over the phone so I'd know exactly what to expect, and he made it to my house about an hour later. It's such a relief to find somebody who is reliable and fast when you're in that situation, so I was very thankful. He replaced the sub pump and the tubing that appeared to be leaking, and left the place clean. I then noticed that my hot water heaters were leaking, so I asked him to replace them. I was happy with every step of the process - he gave me a very fair price, he thoroughly explained all my options, and he was able to replace the heaters very quickly. He also did a great job at helping me feel less panicked and more knowledgable about how things work and what to expect, and again he left the area very clean. I tried installing an instant hot water tap in my kitchen and created a pipe leak in the process. My t-tap valve sheered my pipe when I was tightening it. Contacted Peter from Burr Oak Plumbing and he was upfront that he wasn't familiar with the specific insinkerator model but would be right out to fix the leak. He was very quick and professional, explained that he could use a newer tech called propress to fix the leak and replaced the t-tap with a proper valve. He even followed up a few days later to make sure everything is working (as we had concerns that the instant hot water might not be working) Oh, also since we were installing the instant hot water for my wife to have hot tea on demand, found out that Peter also is a bee keeper and sells honey, which is great with hot tea. tl;dr Great, professional and considerate company Would and will definitely use them again for any plumbing needs. read more

Very happy with my Burr Oak Plumbing experience! Pete is responsive, timely, and incredibly helpful with ideas on how I could fix some of my home issues myself. He installed a Reverse Osmosis drinking water system in my basement and connected it to my frig and a faucet in my sink. My water tastes great and is as pure as it can be! Our water heater went out the NIGHT BEFORE Thanksgiving and after leaving messages at a couple 'big' plumbing/home supply companies, I called Burr Oak Plumbing. Peter not only answered my call ON THANKSGIVING DAY, but he spent time to answer all of my questions and made arrangements to come the next day. He arranged for and delivered and installed two new heaters and re-piped a better solution to use the heaters moving forward. Pete distinguished himself by going the extra miles to diagnose, and to fix my ejector pump problem. The initial assessment was to replace the floater switch. However, during the process Pete found out the pump itself was not working properly. He spent extra time to diagnose the pump and eventually fixed it without charge me any extra. Pete was very responsive and knowledgeable. I had called him when our sump pump failed on us and he gave all the information over phone and scheduled the work. He was on time and evaluated the situation correctly and found the faulty installation of the battery backup sump which was not helpful.
