Bad part is my husband needed to be drugged prior to service, so we drugged him for no reason. and now we have to start all over with registation and request new script for Ativan. Drove 50 miles to be rejected at the door. I just called to speak with scheduling manager and got the run around. They said no manager is available to take my call. No problem - We are not coming back.

I am now 65 and can't afford the $390 concierge fee and am looking for a new facility for my mamogram. I am disappointed that he is my third Northwestern Memorial doctor that has skipped down the road to become a concierge doctor. I have other specialists at University of Chicago Med, they never do this, only the NWM doctors go this route. I know he is the best and hires the best x-ray techs (never cause me pain). By reducing his patient population, I seriously hope he is able to help breast cancer patients that need constant imaging.

Spent 15 minutes getting the appointment before being put on hold. Then she gets back on and tells me that her manager already spoke with me. Imagine being afraid you have cancer, having a referal from somewhere, and having to try to convince someone you have never spoke with them. Imagine pleading with someone with whom you just set up an appointment with to please help you find out if you have cancer and just being told generic lie over and over again. I lost my insurance a month after my visit, which caused alot of confusion regarding my bill. It took several months, but eventually it got sorted out. However, trying to get ahold of the billing department was ridiculous. I made several calls attempting to pay my bill, left several voicemails explaining myself, only to be called back once or twice while I was still at work and unable to take phonecalls. I've never had such a difficult time trying to contact a billing department. Eventually I was able to talk to someone and get my bill paid. Then, literally a whole month after I paid, I got a call from a collections agency regarding the same bill. I still haven't been able to figure out if this whole thing is going to poorly impact me at all. But I tried my very best to avoid this kind of thing happening, only for it to happen anyway. And I can't blame anything else except the poor communication from KRC. I'll be getting MRI's from somewhere else going forward, if I can help it.

I recommend choosing a different provider that is more transparent with their billing process unless you enjoy unexpected invoices for hundreds (if not thousands) of dollars months after you've already paid. It's also worth nothing that their "billing department" is simply an overseas call center so should you want to discuss these discrepancies, you're out of luck as they're equipped for little more than reciting a script and regurgitating the same figures you've already seen on your bill.

I arrived 15 minutes early as directed, to complete the paperwork, and by the time I was finished with that, they were waiting to take me for my MRI. The tech I had was great! I have very small ear canals and always have difficulties getting the ear protection to fit in my ears. It took me probably 5 minutes to get the darn earplugs inserted, but she was very patient and understanding. I think AKUMIN is a great place for your radiology needs! Michelle M
