Spent 15 minutes getting the appointment before being put on hold. Then she gets back on and tells me that her manager already spoke with me. Imagine being afraid you have cancer, having a referal from somewhere, and having to try to convince someone you have never spoke with them. Imagine pleading with someone with whom you just set up an appointment with to please help you find out if you have cancer and just being told generic lie over and over again. I am sure her kids turned out lovely. I can tell with those kinds of skills, life has great plans for her. Its too bad I wont be around to see it. That is okay though. I am not sure what kind of peanuts they are using to entice her to treat uninsured patients that think they have cancer that way. I can assure you it would not be enough for me. I can tell you if I was a receptionist in that situation, I would be handing the phone over to someone that gets paid to take those kinds of risks You ever hear of the Milgram experiment where they try to find out just what kind of sick fucks everyday normal random people are? 10/10 here guys. I will keep you guys in mind if I have any racial genocides I am planning. As far as medical service goes, I would wish it on my worst enemy. I don't try to pretend to be nice. Everyone would. But apart from that. Please make sure you advertise when there are no more humans working here, then I can re evaluate my stance on this You obviously have no idea what it is like to be concerned you have cancer and don't understand how healthcare works. Very obvious. You may understand health care. I think you underestimate how little uninsured people know. This is obvious. You don't know if the person you are talking to spent the last few days psyching themselves up for suicide. You don't have a clue. You prob have insurance and work at a medical facility. My son tore his labrum in his first baseball game of the season. He needed a MRI and they got us in faster than anyone else could. I injured my shoulder at work. I went to a general doctor who believed I tore my labrum and requested an MRI through my workman's comp which was approved. Workman's comp sent me here for the MRI. I went back to the doctor for the results and Summit Radiology said there were no tears in my shoulder and I only needed physical therapy. My doctor believed there was still more going on including a tear. He sent me to a specialist who said there is definitely a tear of the labrum and bicep tendon and ordered surgery. After surgery the surgeon said my labrum was torn in three locations, my bicep was torn and had to be reattached and my rotator cuff was also torn. I am not happy with Summit Radiology and would have been more upset had I not had good doctors to see through their poor diagnosis. read more

At Summit you will receive the best care in MRI (and they do CT and xray) and it's much less expensive than the hospital. Me, my son, my father and my husband have all had scans there. All of us were thrilled with the professional service and my doctor was thrilled with the quick results. My experience with summit has always been great. The staff is polite and considerate. They explained the procedure thoroughly despite the fact I had gone through it before. I needed an MRI on my elbow last year. The cost at Rockford Orthopedic was over $3000 without the read. Summit was about $1250ish with a discount from Blue Cross/Blue Shield it ended up being less than $800. That's a HUGE difference regardless of what your copay is. The staff is polite and the cost included the reading of the MRI. When I told my doctor that I wanted to shop around he seemed a bit surprised. I told him I was thinking about Summit or Forest City. He recommended Summit over Forest City due to the age of Forest City's equipment. I don't know how true that is but it made the decision easy for me. In short, I couldn't be happier. The only reason they get a star is its the least you can choose. Their website is a joke, a caring staff lol, more like a rude, snide and stuck up staff. The funny thing is I went there for the second time because i requested them when my doctor wanted me to go somewhere else. Guess I should have listened to my doctor. They not only lost me as a customer forever but any new referrals from my doctor as well. I'm a self pay customer, always have been, paid the first time as soon as my scan was done. when I came in this time the girl behind the counter quickly points out, oh your a self pay and it cost this much. I know I'm a self pay I'm the one that told you that on the phone, hello. I tell her yes ma'am I am, I will pay as soon as we are done. She looks over at someone else and asks, can he do that? meanwhile I'm thinking who demands money up first before any services are rendered? So the other girl says thats fine. They then give me paper work to go over and read to make sure everything is correct and to sign. Im doing so right at the counter and this behemoth woman comes over and starts hovering over me until I'm done. I sign it and hand it back, then I notice all the women behind the counter are watching and staring at me, why? the behemoth woman points out a spot i forgot to initial or sign so i do so. Then she says well thats going to be x amount of dollars. I say I know I'm going to pay after services are rendered and she gets alll huffy oh no your self pay you must pay up front. What? first of all i was just told it was ok and second of all, why? If I dont pay I dont get the results of the scan. why would you be worried about getting paid. I'm totally confused. why was it fine before and not now. The woman just got more huffy and said thats the way it is you have to pay first. I just started to get upset but rather than argue I said I was just going to leave. She immediately says thats fine you do that and you have a great weekend now. Getting louder as I'm walking out of the office. She was being very snide as she was getting louder like she just won some victory against me. Im just blown away, the only thing i can think of is she didn't like the way I looked. I made my doctor book my scan here instead of where he was going to and i got rewarded for my loyalty with a huffy puffy big bad behemoth woman that showed me how her world works. Extremely rude and unprofessional. Even if their policy had changed (which they never said that it did) this makes no sense. there is no possibility of skipping out on anything in this place. so why the treatment like that. read more
