I've been very pleased with the dental work delivered by this practice but am unbelievably disappointed with the office billing personnel. On all of my visits, they require the patient to pay their higher Usual and Customary Fees as opposed to their contractually obligated in-network PPO fees. Refunds are made down the line to square the account but in the interim, the patient has forked over significantly higher dollar amounts. Why should the patients serve as their bank? I pushed back on this practice and was met with arrogance, smugness and general ugliness. The billing personnel clearly did not display any interest in understanding how the in-network PPO reimbursement worked. They even threatened to withhold treatment until I acquiesced to their higher fee payment request. It's a shameful way to treat patients and a black eye for such talented dentists and hygienists. read more

Motivated by greed in addition they have performed multiple faulty treatments that failed in no time. 1- An expensive bridge performed in 2019 that was faulty from day with poor margins Dentist and staff kept their mouth shut and condemned what they performed to avoid having to redo the work Ended up costing me a serious infection in two root canals and a redo of bridge fixed out of my pocket $9800 2- Second bridge performed by this office also in 2021 December failed December 2022 and till today March 16th 2023 I am still manipulated by business owner who is not a doctor or a dentist regarding a refund that he approved and ask me to drop off BBB complaint..one I dropped complaint out of good failed he started avoiding my calls and e-mails regarding refund check! 3- Several times I passed out dentist chair due to their incompetence on three visits I was told it should a an hour and half treatment On two occasions I was in dentist chair from 9:30 AM to 1:45 PM to 2:00 In addition to excessive numbing that caused my face to stay swollen for weeks. 4- Doctor Binita is rude and unprofessional responsible for not notifying me that I two infected root canals, responsible for my exhaustion and passing out In dentist chair due to being there for hours, responsible for excessive numbing that caused pain and swelling for weeks July / June 2022 Find someone that is trustworthy save your money and dental health, stay away from this corporate greedy dishonest practice. read more

What a great experience for my semi-annual teeth cleaning! My Hygienist, Victoria, greeted me with a bright smile and asked how I was doing since my previous appointment (tooth extraction). When I explained I no longer had dental insurance, Victoria went to great lengths to offer options that would allow me to keep my costs down, including checking with Dr. Alegria and the office manager. I do not recommend this practice anymore. Since the prior doctors left the service has declined. I was overcharged for a procedure and I have been asking them to return the overpayment with no success. They knew they were overcharging me and now refuse to return the funds. They can keep the money but now they have lost a long time customer along with several family members who were clients. Disappointing. read more

I love this practice and wish I could see them more than twice a year! Dr. Woodman is my dentist; he is both personable and professional, and will never try to "sell" a procedure that you don't need. He's a good, honest guy, and I trust him implicitly. The staff are so welcoming and friendly, and my hygienist was top notch. I always feel totally comfortable there and will gladly recommend them to friends. Their Covid protocol exceeds guidelines and I felt very safe and comfortable there during my exam. I had contacted this dentist when I first moved to the area last year. They were booking 6 months out due to covid so I happily took there next appt for March 2021 exactly 6 months later. My husband and I were booked back to back one day after the other. I thought it was odd that they never called to confirm our date. Being busy and not having a chance to call to see why I didn't get a confirmation call our day came and my went in and they said sorry your appt was at a different time and sent him away. I called the office and the lady said they must of took All MY INFO DOWN WRONG. I said your lying cause all of a sudden my husband started getting text messages from them saying your appt had been changed and would you like to reschedule...... I was still on the phone with them and I said you can't have the phone number wrong cause he is getting the messages as we speak. I have them the chance to get him in ASAP since we had waited 6 months for this appt and the lady goes well we can see him now in June... Excuse me.... sorry I told them I'll find a better dentist and hung up on them.... I'm so disappointed in how they treated us and that we now have to look for a new dentist. read more

May 18th my 8 year old child had an appointment for her routine teeth cleaning. We arrived at the scheduled time and my daughter, who loves going to the dentist, went ahead of me and opened the door to the office. We walked in and we're rudely greeted with, "wait, no no, get out, you have to wait outside". I apologized and went back outside. Then at that point noticed the signs on the door that said to call first. Which were missed because my daughter opened the door. 1. Lock your front door if you don't want people walking in. 2. I received no information about their new COVID19 protocol prior to our appointment. At this point I should have just left. But I've always had a great experience here and I know everyone is on edge so I waited. A client left the office and an employee information us they would be with us in a just a few minutes. Another client walks up, we are standing rather far to the right of the front door. An employee comes out to let her in and waves her hand at us and say "Can you move over!!" We were more than 6ft away but we moved back a little more. Very poorly handled, rude. Again should have just left at this point. But I really try to be respectful that everyone feels different about this situation and it's new for everyone. So we continue to wait. 10 mins past our appointment time. My 8 year is getting antsy so we go back to the car. I call the office just to let them know we haven't left we just decided to wait in the car until they were ready. She says "oh they are at the door ready for you now" We go in and I'm informed that I can not go back with my child. Which I normally don't go with her because she likes to be a big kid. So I'm ok with this. The lady tells me they will call me when she is done. They start with the "sanitizing process" and I go to wait in the car. I wait for maybe 30 mins in the car in the parking lot, a good distance from the front door. My car door opens, scares me, and there is my 8 year old. No one with her. All alone. I'm like are you done? Yes. Did anyone come with you? No. The lady at the front desk told me to have a nice day sweetie and I walked out. They let me 8 year old walk across the parking lot alone. They didn't watch to see that I had her. They didn't tell me about her visit, they didn't call to say she was done. She still had her mask on that they gave her so I went to the door to give it back and ask them lady who came to the door why would they let my child walk alone into the parking lot. She looked confused and turned around and asked someone else. I say, "this has been a mess, this has been an awful experience from start to finish. I need someone to call me." I wait, no one calls. So I call. I explain everything. The response is a generic one. Oh this is new. This is hard for everyone. Your next visits will be better. I ask if anyone is going to update me on my child's visit. I'm told oh when the dentist sits at their desk today they will call you.... Still no phone call. I understand all the safety measures needed. I appreciate them. But it is very clear that their procedures are for them not their customers. They are obviously ill prepared to be open. Also should probably not be taking in minors if they are unable to handle the responsibility of it. I am extremely dissatisfied with the way myself and my child were treated. We were not made aware of their protocol prior to our appointment, if we had been all of this could have all been avoided. With the exception of them just allowing minors to leave their office with out an adult. That was plain poor judgement. I do not believe we will be returning. Which is unfortunate, but it is clear they do not care about their customers. They will be losing a family of 5 and I will make everyone I know aware to steer clear. I've been at McKee Dental since they opened and have never had a bad experience. Kind, courteous, and great with kids. Took my 5 year old for the first time and they were great with him. The dental assistant,Casey(I hope I got her name right), talked with him at first and counted his teeth, gave him sun glasses to wear for the bright lights, and let him choose the channel on TV-TV is directly above you to watch as they clean your teeth!! My family moved to Charlotte a little less then a year ago. I did some research and found McKee Dental and have been so glad I did! They have been wonderful for both myself and my 2 kids. I have issues with gum regression so cleaning can be super painful. But the people at McKee are aware of my issue and take extra care and if it's painful at any time, they have a topical numbing cream that works wonders. My youngest is only 6 so I was a bit nervous about taking him to an "adult" dentist. But there are toys waiting for him in the waiting room and they make sure to make the visit quick, painless and as pleasant as possible for him. I've also never waited more than 5 to 10 minutes before being called out of the waiting room - something that's very important to me as a busy mom. I can not say enough about how great everyone is here. My kids go here for orthodontic work and regular cleanings. Their teeth look fantastic. I just had an old bridge break and they worked me for a temporary repair immediately and replaced my old discolored bridge with a new one. It looks beautiful and I couldn't be happier. read more
