Just a quick shout out for the most compassionate, knowledgeable caring Dr. Dr McKee treats each patient as if they were his family. When my parents went to Dr McKee, he treated them with the upmost respect and listened to their needs and addressed them. Dr McKee literally saved my husband's foot that wouldd have otherwise been amputated by another Dr. What I loved is that he stayed on top of it until it was totally healed and still stays on top of his diabetic feet to prevent any other damage!! He sometimes combines holistic medicine as well, when needed. He has treated my poor feet as if they were beautiful when I know they are a mess. He's not afraid to get his hands in there and fix what ails you! I notice that he does certain things that prevent his patients from spending more money than necessary. Dr James McKee, DPM, FACFAS of Podiatry Group of Annapolis Having suffered with suspected (and worsening!) plantar fasciitis for several weeks, I needed help. Luckily, I was able to get in for a same-day appointment.... glad to have found this practice! From Donna who checked me in, COVID19 precautions and all, to Ashley who did the intake assessment and took X-rays, to David who taped up my foot and reviewed the assigned physical therapy exercises, to Dr. McKee, I was treated with kindness and courtesy. It turned out I had been over-stretching, plus I needed better shoes. A painful cortisone shot in the heel produced dramatic results within 24 hours, and a course of prednisone helped tremendously. Dr. McKee was very thorough in his evaluation and gave me several options for treatment. I bought new shoes and followed the instructions, and by the time I came in for a follow-up visit, I didn't need another cortisone shot. Happy to be active again! read more

I made an appointment to Dr McKee's office, Podiatry group of Annapolis. I had to fill out 9 Pages of documents prior to arrival asking for info that has no business being on the document (Spouses SS#?). I arrived 15 minutes early with documents finished for a 10:00am appointment. He requests that if you cancel within 24 hours you have to pay him $40 and that if you are late by 15 minutes he wants you to reschedule. All these things are appropriate because if you did them to him you are being inconsiderate and rude. But he thinks nothing about being inconsiderate and rude to his patients. I sat for 1 hour and 10 minutes before I walked out. I know sometimes I'm not going to be seen exactly at the scheduled 10:00am time. But an hour and 10 minutes is just poor planning and rude. I went to see Dr. McKee after my GP instructed me to see a podiatrist for plantar fasciitis. He listened carefully to my concerns and after following his recommendations I am no longer in pain. His office is clean and equipped with state of the art equipment. The staff is friendly and helpful. They also have a store adjacent to the office where you can purchase the footwear he recommends and have them fitted by the office staff so you know you are getting the right shoes for your condition. I was very pleased with the level of care I received and would highly recommend Dr. McKee for anyone needing someone to care for their feet. read more

I had been to another podiatrist in Annapolis, received treatment and still had my bone spur in my left foot which was very painful. Dr. McKee spent 1/2 hour with me checking my foot, looking at the other foot, doing tests and watching me walk. Turns out my left foot pronates (never discovered by other doc) which caused the bone spur to start with. Shots, wraps, a orthotic device to sleep in at night and a "bubble" insert for my sneakers. I found out more in 1/2 hour than I had found out in months' at the other doctor's office. I am VERY pleased and finally have hope that I'll be able to take walks again after these treatments. read more

I arrived 20 minutes before my appointment with my paperwork filled out as requested and was seen on time. The staff was friendly from making the appointment, assisting Dr. McKee to check out. I have plantar fscisits (sp?) and Dr. McKee explained the causes and what the course of treatment would be to cure this problem. He was kind and very knowledgeable. My unsupportive flip flops were not helping my situation. He suggested Vionic flip flops from his store, Feet 1st which is conveniently located next to his office. Dr. McKee and his staff are the nicest people! I am a runner. I had a painful ingrown toenail and could no longer walk let alone run. Dr. McKee resolved my issue and I returned for custom orthotics. From the lovely scheduling call to the check out, everyone was so nice. I was also impressed with the beautiful office and all the Covid-19 precautions they have in place from constant sterilization of all areas to the UV light filters they have on their HVAC systems to kill bacteria and virus in the air - impressive! I recently went to Dr. McKee for a problem with my flat feet. I was having pain in my lower back and knees. Dr. McKee suggested custom made orthodics.. Well let me tell you what a relief to my lower back and knee pain. I am so happy I went to him. In addition, his office was lovely, the staff even better, very kind, answering all my questions. One of the best parts was that there is a shoe store next door- which they did not push, but I inquired what shoe would be best with my orthodics. I was able to go right next door and get a pair of New Balance which work great work with my orthodics. read more

Never thought I'd need a podiatrist, but when I found a suspicious growth on my foot, my GP referred me to the "best podiatrist in the Annapolis area", Dr. McKee. He was professional, timely, funny, and very knowledgable. We discussed all of my options and he recommended a conservative approach, dissuading me from expensive exploratory options.
