My little girl chose culinary and gardening at Whitley Elementary. Yesterday was her first day, and there were staff at the front of the school with badges to assist kids and to answer parents' questions, which I appreciated. I am choosing to drop off my little girl every day, but they do have busses that will pick up the kids from their home school and take them to their designated schools, which again I appreciate. My little girl said her teachers were nice and the school served breakfast, lunch, and a snack. The summer camp program runs until July 26th, 8 am, till 5 pm, but kids are able to be picked up early, which I appreciate. I'm excited for her to have this experience, and I appreciate this school as all schools involved in these programs!

They bus kids in from all over the place for the Magnet, but the wait list is long, so sign up early (like seriously at birth) to ensure your kid a spot. My daughter did Transitional kinder here with Mrs. Furr, and this year tested at 2nd grade level in reading and 1st grade level in math. Last year I would pick her up from Magnet and she would teach me all about bats, snakes, the water cycle, insects, you name it. It was wonderful to pick her up everyday and see the happiness on her face. The teachers and staff really love the kids and care about their education and development. I can't say enough good things about the school. It is a wonderful and safe place to educate your child and I recommend it highly.

I have finally found a school that can make my son want to go to school. He has been home schooled…read more and in other elementary schools. He was kicked out of both elementary schools. They never took the time to get to know him or help him. Valley Verde has great teacher's who care about a child and go way above. I can't give the School 5 stars and I'm sad about that. The two ladies who help the students out of the car in the morning are bullies to multiple parents. Normally they came to drop off latter than when the gate opens and this makes the child have to cross the divide alone. They Always come out talking on a cell phone. And when a parent stops long enough to watch Their child go through the gates to make sure they got into school Safe the ladies start banging on the windows and yelling at the parents. Do they not realize how many students go missing every year on their way to school? That until they walk through the school gates anything can happen. So I guess the 100% no bulling only means for the students. What about all the other students who watch these two yelling at other parents what does that show them? Better traing for them is needed.
