When I hit a deer on the way home McKenzie's took real good care of my car and got me towed back into town. When it came time to settle up what was owed they even gave me a discount!!!! Very fairly priced, very friendly people as well! Always had great service from McKenzie to include auto repair when there was a mechanic. If possible, he even did additional service if possible, e.g. repair door handle, check dash lights, etc. Also had four tows by him to include one ton vehicles. Was always able to assist to bring it to a local shop on short notice, of course, based on availability. read more

I wish I could give zero stars for this review. John at McKenzie Automotive is a complete joke. He overcharged my dad ($900) to tow his motorcycle 90 miles (Morton, WA to Vancouver, WA), and then on the tow-ride home, my dad's motorcycle window somehow got broken... that costs my dad another $300+ dollars to fix. With no recourse, John just carries on - this is horrible business practice. Please, I beg of anyone reading this review, please DO NOT ever give this guy your business. He came quick to get my vehicle out, but was so grumpy and rude, treated me like I was a kid until I paid him, charged me an extra 48$ when I didn't even leave my car for 24 hours, and the old man threatened to charge me 98$ just for walking in. we got into a bad accident on a backroad and when we asked to get our stuff (mainly our brand new case of water) and they would not let us into our car. the guy treated us like crap after being in a crash the wasn't our fault it was the weathers. I needed an $80 part that only required one bolt to be removed and replaced, and they charged me a full $350 for it. They were rude, and treated me like I was inconveniencing them because I needed my car fixed. He gouges the prices because the nearest mechanic is around 15 miles away and he knows that towing it there would cost just as much as having him do it. Stopped in one day for a quote on a timing belt replacement , the owner looked at the car and said he would call me later with a price, he did. Several months later I called and set up a time to drop it off , now the car also needed a alternator too. So I drive it down to the shop after work at night with no power and left it out front like he said to do. The next day he called and said he would not fix my car because him mechanic didn't want to do it . He was rude and abrupt. partner had an accident and was not able to be on site when car was towed due to having to seek medical care. many of my partners belongings came out of the car during the crash. we were very grateful that they took the time to gather his belongings from the side of the road and ditch.they were professional and responsive in setting up a time to pick up our belongings and gave clear guidance on next steps for dealing with the wrecked car. the professionalism and care of this company made a very stressful situation less so. read more

Very prompt and responsive towing service both from the accident site and to the auto body shop (2 tows). Polite and helpful both on the phone and when I needed to come get my belongings out of the car.They also worked with the shop and my insurance for payment.
