And their prices are competitive to big box gyms. They have plenty of 35lb plates which a lot of gyms don't have. No Kg plates but that's fine for me. They don't have super hardcore lifting equipment (pro squat racks) but it's a good mix between free weights and machines while about half the machines use plates. So one thing i was surprised to see - Every treadmill/cardio equipment had its own TV at this location!! That was pretty awesome. Regrettably, he mostly leads classes during the workday, so I only see him when he's filling in for other instructors. I usually have Amanda on Monday 5:30pm, Allison Tuesday & Thursday 6 am, Kathy 6am Wednesday, Leslie 5:30pm Friday, and Lindsay 7am Saturday. They're great, experienced instructors, they know very well how to mix up workouts and are really nice. The classes tend towards resisted stretching and core strengthening, rather than serious weightlifting. I feel stronger & more flexible at age 62 that I did at 40. Sometimes scheduling is tricky, I have learned that I have to stay on top of my classes to keep booked. Members can only book 10 at any time, to keep gym rats in-line. I usually get about 20 classes a month in, so figure about $9/class, can seem pricey when you look at your bill. It's worth it. There are events periodically to win prizes so that's fun. Private sessions are available.

At pretty much every Crunch the workers try to sell you on training and other things. The franchise is very heavy on the sales aspect but honestly the workers here haven't pushed too much, they are just nice and normal and that is appreciated. As with most Crunches, this one has a cycle room, a HIIT area, a good amount of free weights, cardio machines and a studio for classes. They also have tanning beds, hydro beds, and saunas in the locker rooms which stay a good hot temperature. Not all Crunches I've been to maintain their saunas well. I know the parking can also be a problem at times. I don't think the parking lot is near big enough for the clientele here. And it can be chaotic getting in and out, but it could be worse still.

The Assistant Manager, super nice and professional, at the end of the interviewed he offers the promotion of 4 cents for doing a membership. I mentioned to him I don't have money to paid at this time. I only have 20.00 in my account. He said, "don't worry the monthly payment would be taking from your account in 3 weeks. So I agree. Then he introduced me to the trainer so I can do the first visit with the trainer. At that time He charged me $10.00 without mine permission because he never asked. He did asked for the 4 cents. When I realized what he did "I called immediately and let them know I don't have the money for him to take out next week or for him to charge my card $10.00 without my permission". He put in hold then he told me, "my district manager said, "you need to stay with membership for 90 days". I told him, "if you hit the bank the money is not there so I will paid $35.00 overdraft. He said, "we cannot do nothing". I called the police department. I was informed he cannot charge the 10.00 dollars without my permission. Its a civil law so I can sue then for fraud. "using and charging a bank card without permission. In addition, the law don't permit someone to offered a membership with lies. The policeman states, "Call Crunch Fitness to cancel my appointment for the trainer for 7/17/26. I advice then a civil law sue its going to be establish if they don't return the 10.00 dollars and cancel the membership. I did called Crunch Fitness Lakeland who answer the phone I told my name and I asked for his name. For my surprise he told me "I am no one" Its frustrating but most of all I cannot work in a place that lie to new customers just to get you to buy a membership.
