While I've never been in a crossfit gym and I've never done it, I've been in a lot of other gyms. This one has a great setup if you're looking for something beyond a traditional gym. Not only do they have many of the functional fitness equipment you'd expect in this type of gym, but they have a good amount and variety of each type. I can be an equipment hog when I'm dialing in my weight for each movement. The people were also super friendly and helpful, and the gym is very clean and spacious. As much as I'm sure people sweat in that place, there wasn't any of the off-putting gym odor. The equipment was in really good shape too. If I had one wish list item that I didn't see there, it would be a sled, but most gyms don't have them anyway. If you're unsure if this is a place for you or if you're from out-of-town and just looking to drop in a couple of times, they have a great deal where you can buy one of their cool tees/tanks and get two visits included with it. Brilliant marketing, because I'll definitely be wearing their billboard around now. And, when I'm back in town and have time for a workout, I'll definitely be back.

They were very kind and absolutely let me come in, hit a WOD, and didn't charge me a dime. Fast forward about a year later and I was now out of the Marine Corps and back in Lakeland, and beginning to be a full time member of CFL. Each and every day, the programming of the workouts were very well made to challenge your fitness, the competitive spirit in the gym helps drive you through even the hardest of workouts, and the community that has formed and blossomed into social events and brought new friendships is irreplaceable. The bottom line is that if you want to look and feel good, you are going to get that here. If you want to compete against others at this "sport of fitness" instead of wasting away for 30 minutes on a treadmill, you are going to get that here. If you want a supportive and active community of people reaching goals just like you want to reach, then you will also get that here.

It's not a very big gym but have everything you need to get it done. Very clean, the owner is there most days. Equipment downtime is minimal when there's an issue. And their prices are competitive to big box gyms. They have plenty of 35lb plates which a lot of gyms don't have. No Kg plates but that's fine for me. They don't have super hardcore lifting equipment (pro squat racks) but it's a good mix between free weights and machines while about half the machines use plates. They have HIIT classes if you're interested in that.

I signed up and paid beforehand ($25) so check-in for the 6:00am class was smooth. There were about 20 people and we went around and said our name and homebase. There were quite a few states represented due to drop-ins from the conference - love that! Coach Doug led us in a hearty warm up before the workout. There was no strength piece due to it being a birthday workout in celebration of one of the members who was turning 21 years old :). It was a 21 minute AMRAP consisting of 21 Russian kettle bell swings, 21 calorie row, and 21 squats with the kettlebell. [I replaced the row with a 300 meter run]. It was a solid workout and the energy in the gym was fantastic. I will definitely be back to MouseTrap Fitness when in Orlando!

B Fitness offers a variety of classes throughout the day including TRX, barre, Pilates, yoga , total body conditioning, and a Men's class. Every class I have taken has been a fabulous workout, including all muscle groups, lots of great equipment including bands, kettle balls, balls, steps and (obviously) weights and the TRX straps. I absolutely love that the instructors do not repeat exercises, making every class varied including the warm up and cool downs. David , Marguerite and Kim are particularly talented, encouraging and have great music. I love the small extras the instructors do to make this place unique. One example is during the cool down, the lights are turned off and a black light is used for a truly relaxed moment. The layout of B Fitness is well designed. All the equipment has its place and the space is clean and meticulous. Honestly I will miss B Fitness when I return home to Dallas!
