These guys are by far the best auto repair place in mid Michigan area ! I've taken two trucks to…read morethem and had major repairs done. One had 4wd problems & one shop here in Harrison was quoting $1000 before they even started. These did a complete exam & charged me less than $100 to fix a simple repair. The other truck was a different story, I just had a truck rebuilt & had spent big money from front to back rebuilds. The rear diff was going bad & I knew it was gonna cost me. Looked around & was getting prices around $2000 and that was on putting a used one in from a junkyard. Took it to these guys & got the whole thing rebuilt for less than a grand. Also my rebuilt engine was springing all kinds of leaks including a rear main seal . The place I had the work done was in the Detroit area. Knowing they didn't do a great job the first time & already taking it back twice, I called Lake to see what they could do. As always, he took great care of me , actually replaced almost every gasket in the engine & fixed it right the first time. I work in an auto parts store, so I deal with shops everyday. One thing I can tell you, if you can find a good shop that isn't looking to over charge you, your lucky. Not only do they guys charge a better than fair rate, their work is top notch . That's the reason I felt compelled to leave this review, not only to give these guys their due but to help people find a good repair place . Can't say how lucky I was to find them !!!!!

D&W used to service transmissions for a small mechanic shop I worked at in Leelanau county, so I've seen them do over 40 transmissions in my short time as a mechanic. We never had a problem with any of their work! Not a single tranny, and I'd be willing to bet that's the norm for Wayne and the D&W crew. So now, when the trans in my plow truck finally had had enough, I confidently took it to D&W. Wayne took me for a diagnostic cruise in my truck so he could explain what was happening and what would have to be done for repairs. It's great that he took the time to help me understand how and why! I do most repairs on my vehicles, but transmissions are over my head, can't thank you enough D&W!!

However this tiny 24-hour repair shop was so willing to help out when we were in a pickle. Our repair guy was so kind and helpful, he ran out to get all the parts he need to repair our alternator and got it done speedy quick. Great shop, great guy, highly recommend!

I paid $6k for him to do my transmission. It tool 6 weeks to get done, and then he put my car back…read moretogether wrong. Didn't put the vapor purge solenoid back on, car rain awful. He said he didn't have time to look at it, or figure it out. When I had someone else look at it, they found that right away. Car also was shuttering when gas was pushed, car needed alignment, I was not told this, and he thought I needed an engine flush. Don't know what's up with this dude but he almost cost me a new engine. Don't recommend
