When I moved in, my apartment was freshly painted, very clean, I got new carpet (don't think that will always be the case) and was ready for me - on time. The apartment complex looks wonderful on the outside and the grounds are well maintained. The interior hallways are kept clean and are well lit in the evenings. There was a very minor issue in my apartment and it was taken care of post haste by their very helpful maintenance crew. This complex - when it gets wired for internet (the owner is looking into it) - will be the next place business and professional people should consider moving into. The rental staff is making concerted efforts to bring in a more professional oriented atmosphere. Rent is very reasonable. Plus, you get "free" cable television. You also don't have to pay for your heat - and believe me - the heat works REALLY well! Background checks are performed on everyone - so that those who you are living among are as safe as you. Did I mention that it is close to EVERYTHING you need? Krogers, Home Depot, good restaurants, gas stations, fast food. . .right out the back door. You can even walk to Kroger's. The property is less than a mile from the bike path access behind Meijer's. Did I also mention it is back in a corner - no through streets - so it's relatively quiet and you get a good sense of community in the Plaza Garden complex. The exterior neighborhood is very nice - so you will be in a safe environment. There are one, two, and three bedroom apartments - that should take care of almost everyone's needs. And. . .no, I don't work for them. :) I've found that it's easy to complain. . .but most people won't take the time to write something good - I'm taking the time. Hope you'll consider being my neighbor!

I lived here for a year, from the summer of '13 to the summer of '14. It was my first apartment and…read moreit was an absolute nightmare. I filled out an application and was approved by a young woman not much older than myself at the time. She must have been in her early twenties. On move-in day, I called and they had no idea I was coming. Apparently, the girl who took my application had stopped coming to work and essentially vanished off the face of the earth. Thankfully, they were able to get me an empty apartment the same day, but I was utterly shocked at how unprofessional the whole situation was. I dealt with three separate infestations -- first ants, then fleas, and finally drain flies. The first two I was able to handle with help from maintenance (and they were very slow about both), but the drain flies were persistent and were there until the day I moved out. In general, the maintenance staff here is slow to unresponsive. The toilet would clog or overflow almost every time I used it and I had to call 24-hour emergency maintenance at least five or six times. It wasn't until the sixth time that they finally offered to replace my it. They said it would arrive in about two weeks, but I went a month without hearing anything. When I finally went to the leasing office, they had no idea what I was talking about. They quickly ordered one for me, but I was again appalled at how poorly the situation had been handled. One month, their automatic online payment system went down. I was not informed that my rent hadn't been paid and I came home from school to an eviction notice. I was very distraught and, of course, the leasing office was closed. It took several calls to finally reach the property manager, and although I was able to sort everything out and pay the rent directly to her, I was yet again in disbelief at the quality of service. Despite being in a prime location (within walking distance of both Walmart and Kroger), I would not recommend renting an apartment in this complex to anyone, especially if it's their first time on their own.

What we saw and smelled was beyond the TV show hoarders. We've called and complained repeatedly, and they had taken no further action. All they did was sent a letter...and we also see that they don't follow rules in their own lease. It states no pets...but u c cats and an occasional dog in the window when you take trash out. Its sad that they lose good tenants just to not have to worry bout their reputation. Very discriminative...its pick and choose here. We decided to move for our own personal safety and the well being of our belongings. It is a health and fire hazard. As of 11/1 we've moved. Please don't be deceived by the looks of these places...they are nice on the outside but who they let in is very undesirable. The turnover rate ...no one stays past the year... we found out the hard way why... don't be deceived

High Meadows Apartments - This peeled from the vacuum too. The gate stops my Service Dog from walking on it.

If you NEED maintenance it will be a while…read more.. I moved in, in July of 2019. The owner does not do maintenance. So far my furnace has stopped functioning twice. It is so old they have to special order parts. He will not replace it. I had to tape the drawers for my fridge together when I moved in. You are NOT allowed replace the fridge or stove. (Regardless of their condition) It is hard to get maintenance for them too. I went 4 months without a ceiling after a pipe burst between the floors. (Owner showed up screaming at me) Despite being disabled to the point of being restricted to the use of a cane or walker my care giver and I are the only reason that the side walks got shoveled and salted during the winters. (Living on a fixed income that was not cheap) but, there are people in wheelchairs in my building and in the event of an emergency everyone needed to be able to get out. Maintenance, management, and the owner fail their tenants in this regard on every level. They do NOT care if you have a new born, it is the dead of winter, and you have no heat, if you survived a deadly bone infection, are currently bed bound, only to be moved by specialist equipment that ice build up can damage, or if you work from home and a rude neighbor with a grudge decides to hook up a wifi jammer and place large speakers against your shared wall to blast music during the hours you are working. Or a pipe broke in the wall, filled the ceiling with water and started raining through the light sockets. If the owner or manager have to be inconvenienced enough to actually show up on the property and work. They scream at you. It is pretty terrifying any time you have to interact with anyone BUT the maintenance guy. (Who hardly ever talks) I
