I can honestly say that I would never made it this far it it hadn't been for the help I received there. The people who have listened to my never ending tales of fear, shame, and confusion; still managed to do so with patience and empathy. I am "one of those" bipolar types; prone to devastation and depression; ADHD, OCD, and B.S. I didn't always agree with the medications or the advice I was given, However I did what they suggested and found that they were helping me. I wanted to get better. I'm sure that I'm not explaining this well, but these people saved my life. I have recommend them to many friends and relatives to sort out difficult issues. When you hear there are people out there that can help you; these people are them! DO NOT BE AFRAID TO ASK FOR HELP! Or have a friend call! Just do it!

He yelled at me he refused to put me on any medication that would help me only supports the pharmaceutical company's that they are in cohorts with. I first saw him and he ask me if there were any tragedys that I had experienced and I said yes sandy hook elementary and broke out in complete tears. Next time I saw him I told him I had every symptom of ptsd and I couldn't function as an Able bodied person and I had lost everything in my life I need to apply for disablity benefits he told me that he would have to witness my symptoms and as far as I was concerned he had he said it would be years before i could do that and that I didn't want to go around telling anybody that I had ptsd especially the government because the last thing I want to do is let the government know I had ptsd you never know what they were going to do with that info about me.!!!! Wow!!! That's Strange statement to tell someone whose broken! Well I found another doctor in fact I saw two and they both diagnosed me with several things but the main diagnosis was ptsd. With them I applied and was awarded social security benefits and I am on my way to getting a life again with no thanks to this place. I ran out of gas on my to my appointment two minutes from their office and I was losing it due to extreme fear from ptsd and he said I could no longer go there and sent me a letter certified saying I was no longer welcome to go there. Wow! I warn anyone to not go there. They don't want to help anyone get well or recover just give the wrong inappropriate medications and keep you disabled from functioning in society. In both instances, I was working through some very traumatic and difficult times in a complex family situation and also navigating some major stressors at work. Nancy was compassionate, empathetic, skilled, and an incredibly good judge of character. She is well read, intelligent, and thoughtful in her delivery, and takes a holistic and integrative approach to helping her clients. She was flexible in scheduling me and worked with me on a sliding scale. She also got me involved in journaling and initiating a daily practice of gratitude, which was nothing short of life-changing and what I needed. I was invited to attend her writing group, a very warm and nurturing group who didn't judge me for being too nervous to share and I still benefited from hearing from others. Nancy puts you immediately at ease but can be direct and impactful, always tempered with kindness. I'm sorry I didn't continue with her when I was contemplating a big life change (a big move with someone who was not good to me). This completely (and thankfully) fell through when a member of my family became gravely ill and sadly died. What Nancy does not know today is that she helped me profoundly to tap into my own strength and sensibilities to break off this very unhealthy and toxic relationship that lasted throughout the second span of time I worked with her for good. I have called and spoken with Debbie, the receptionist, and on each occasion she has stated that she is does not know anything about the chart and will call me when Dr. Johnson gets it to her. So far, no call. This withholding is illegal. Furthermore, I have emailed multiple times about needing a release of information form for transition of care. No response.

Dr. JB, as I fondly call him, was the most thorough, empathetic, and trustworthy Psychiatrist I had ever met. He had a complete neurological work-up completed on me to rule out any physical causes of my symptoms. He spent a great deal of time with me, asking questions no one had asked before. Then, he met with my husband and I to share the results. He explained my diagnosis, and said it would be very difficult to determine which treatment plan would work, and that we'd have to make adjustments to that plan for the rest of my life. He promised that if I didn't give up on him, he wouldn't give up on me. And he meant it. All these years later, although I am now disabled, I live a much more stable life, because I've learned what I must do, and what I must avoid to stay as well as possible. Dr. JB partners with my Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) Therapist, and also works with my other specialists. He knows my needs. He has shown my family a great deal of support as well.
