Christmas is on full display at McNamara Florist. I've posted several pictures of most of the displays in the Carmel location. They can be trusted to have beautiful more traditional displays each and every year. The price points are moderate to high. For best selection; of course shop early! Unfortunately I heard and saw a couple employees but I wasn't greeted during my visit. It's always nice to hear a Hello or Welcome when you enter a smaller store like this. McNamara's fresh floral displays are beautiful as well. read more

We came here to get flowers for our mom around Christmastime and loved the trees and lights hanging from every surface. I can't imagine how long it took to decorate like that. We walked into the flower fridge, trying to decide what to get. Because we were a little out of our element, we asked for help and the sweet woman at the counter came and gave us a few suggestions to complete the bouquet. She wrapped up our flowers and even put a big bow on it, which made it look really beautiful. This place is definitely more expensive than say, your local grocery, but the flowers are huge and stunning -- something that our mom deserved after 20+ of raising us. Many of the flowers are organized individually, so you can also build a bouquet based on your price-range too. The shop sells non-flower gifts, cards, and local chocolate too, so you can get a full present for someone here. My mom loved the surprise! read more

Highly recommend walking into a local flower shop the day before Valentine's Day. Your nose will be filled with the aroma of sweet flowers and your eyes will see tons of beautiful arrangements! My brother-in-law and I came in on a whim looking for an arrangement for my mother-in-law. A woman asked us what we were looking for, my BIL explained, and she pointed to a handful of options. We walked out with an absolutely gorgeous arrangement for $50. This location is located in a strip mall that could make up a perfect date night because there's a liquor store and Pizza King. Yet another terrible flower arrangement from McNamara. I received my flowers today and they are already starting to die. the edges of the roses are brown and wilting. The arrangement description states the flowers come in a glass vase. the vase was plastic. we have ordered flowers from McNamara for years. we never had a problem till now, I do believe they are under new ownership. the new owner is cutting quality and delivering a less then satisfactory product. what a shame. read more

Every arrangement I receive from them is beautifully put together! Flowers are always top quality and last at least a week! This pic is my latest gift I received and you can see how beautiful and unique it is. My doorbell rang and I was met by a cheerful gal who immediately wished me a Happy Birthday while handing me my gift! Nice touch. Husband bought stargazer lilies for Valentine's Day. Paid $37 dollars for scrawny buds - little greenery , and no vase came with it. I've purchased the same better quality flowers for 1/3 of the price at Kroger and Meijer. The flowers are in poor health. Super unimpressed. It's the thought that counts as far as my hubby goes - but as for the florist- not worth the money spent. read more

Sure it's easier (& cheaper) to grab flowers at the grocery, but I have learned over the years that the truly beautiful plants & flowers are at the florist, and for the additional money you spend you get healthier & longer-lasting plants. I wanted a really special gift for a friend since we were invited to their house for dinner, and I found the perfect planter at McNamara Florist that was soon-to-bloom tulips. Stunning tulips, all in a blend of cool colors. You get what you pay for. Better plants, better advice. With McNamara I received prompt attention, good suggestions, good options to choose from, and then they wrapped my plant in clear plastic & put a beautiful hand-made bow on it. She gave me tips to share with my friend on how to help the tulips last longer, and how to replant the bulbs in the yard. She mentioned that if the tulips start to open, just put them in a cool area & they'll close back up (who knew?) I appreciated that she asked if my friend was a gardener, which led me to choose flowering bulbs that can be replanted rather than cut flowers in a vase or arrangement. I saw a super cool wood lantern in McNamara that I really want. I guess that is the only downfall .... :) you'll see a lot more there that you'll want! Like a big fiddleleaf fig plant, driftwood items, lanterns, AND flowers. It would be a good place to find a nice gift; they are loaded with plants but have so much more! Stunning floral arrangements by Alan. They transformed a home into a magical wedding location. I wasn't sure he was going to be able to do them due to the busy wedding season and being in different time zones. We hit a slight snag when the cake delivery people got lost and the flowers got delivered first. Alan called to make sure that we had been able to get the floral topper on the cake and would have sent someone out to help if we needed it. I thought it was very thoughtful. read more

I was very shocked to discover that 18 loose Rose went for a whopping $96 at this overpriced florist. What was even more disappointing was that they were bruised and not fresh looking. These roses were purchased for a special event, and I was not given a choice of where to purchase the flowers from because I had to use a florist selected by the venue where my event was held. Imagine my dismay to find that the roses I paid so much money for we're not even as nice as the roses that I can buy at Costco where I get two dozen for $16.99. This is 2018, no one should be paying $96 for 18 loose roses with no vase, no arranging, no fillers, just some paper. Not even delivered. read more

I ordered almost $200 worth of flowers to be delivered same day, "guaranteed" by 6p. The flowers never showed up, for my sister, who was in the hospital for surgery. I called (because they did not), and they said they would bring them the next day which obviously didn't work, so I asked for them to cancel, for which they did not provide a receipt. She said she would send me a "screen shot". Here's hoping I get my refund. Very disappointing experience. read more

I recently had a very poor service experience with McNamara Carmel and posted here on Facebook about it. McNamara's CEO personally took the time to respond and resolved the issue (WOW). Thanks again for the quick response and phone call to resolve this issue. I am happy to see that McNamara's leader took time to personally resolve this issue when the easy thing would have been to disregard and move on. Beware! I phoned in an oder for a condolence arrangement for $140 using Peonies--I was told at that level it would be "grand." What was sent? A small arrangement in a square vase with 7 peonies! Terrible value. Very disappointed. They asked if I would like them to go pick that up and replace it with one with fewer peonies! Something is wrong with these people. I am from the east coast where everything is a lot more expensive than in Indy area. This is a case of a terrible rip off. Beware. read more

We worked with Alan at the Carmel location, and he was amazingly creative! I was so pleased with how our flowers turned out, and we also added candles to the altar, which were absolutely gorgeous! My only complaint was that they didn't get back to us for weeks on end, so there were times that I was worried that things wouldn't work out, but they did and I was so pleased! read more
