He was personable and took the time to explain about the type of insects in our area and what's involved in keeping them away. I believe Capital City's prices are fair. You don't have to pay for corporate overhead, so you catch a break that way but they aren't low-ball where you know thr pest control person can only spend 5 minutes with you because they have so see tons of people to make a living.

I sadly had dealings with this company for over a year. It…read morewas great in the beginning. Then apparently there was a change in leadership. I would receive a text message setting up the date and time. On the date of supposed service, I would receive a notification of cancellation and a reschedule date. Then the cycle would repeat itself. Notification, cancellation, reschedule. It became routine. Since I could no longer trust my service to show when they stated, (I still have every text to confirm) I cancelled my service. The very NEXT DAY, I have someone honking at my gate, driving back and forth in front of our property, LITERALLY screaming for someone to open the gate. I notified him (Adam) at that time we had cancelled his service due to their inconsistency and inability to keep a scheduled appointment. He immediately became defensive and rude, talking under his breath. I thanked him for his input, asked him to leave, and went back to working outside. He remained at my gate for an additional 10-15 minutes. The next day their monthly charge came out of my bank account. I notified the company and awaited a call. I never received the call so after a week I called the 800 number. The phone representative was very polite and notified me that a manager from the Tallahassee office would be calling me. It did not happen. So, another week went by, and I called the local office. At that time, I was notified that I would not receive my funds back as the outside of my house was treated. I asked if the company had a policy around gates and locks, I was then informed yes, if the gate is closed, they do not trespass. At that moment I reiterated that my gate is ALWAYS closed and is ALWAYS locked and that is why EVERY time they messaged, someone had to stay home for a service that was not rendered. At 80+$ for quarterly treatment I did not receive. LONG STORY SHORT.... They billed me for service I never received. In my eyes that is THEFT!! The "Manager" never called nor emailed. He apparently told his secretary, that my address had been serviced and I would not see a return. They proved they would not enter without me opening the gate and I also have cameras to prove they were never here. Currently the management in Tallahassee has no integrity, no customer service, and no problem with theft. IN NO WAY WILL I EVER recommend, refer, or speak kindly of the current Orkin business in Tallahassee. They have apparently forgotten they are NOT the only bug treatment business in town.

I called at about 930am on the day of service to confirm the appointment, and the appointment was confirmed again at that time. I was told that I would get a call when the technician was on the way. Later that day after no call from Orkin and no pest control services, I called Orkin again and was told that my appointment was not communicated to the local office - with no apology. The next day (Wednesday) after no return call from a manager, I received a text stating that my service was now scheduled on Friday - in two days. So I called Orkin again to discuss the fact that nobody had returned my call and that the Friday appointment was scheduled without anyone talking to me. On this call I asked that a manager call me before the service technician arrived on Friday. But nobody from Orkin returned my call. The service technician who performed the service on Friday was very nice, and when I told him my story, he called the Orkin phone number. We talked to another Orkin rep who told me that if a manager didn't call me back today I should escalate my concerns. Nobody from Orkin called back, so I called Orkin again. After talking to someone, they told me I needed to talk to the branch manager. I waited on hold while that person attempted to connect me with the branch manager. After waiting for ten minutes, I was connected to voicemail. I was not going to give up, so I called Orkin again, and once again, I'm waiting on a call from a higher up.
