What attracted me to ProLift Garage Doors and ultimately led me to go with their service was the…read moreLifetime Warranty. Sure it cost a little more than most places but a lifetime warranty meant security for me and my family. Everything went well with the installation and we even called them once or twice with an issue which they came out to fix free of charge, so the warranty was already paying off. And then a month or so ago it all changed. The door wouldn't open. The latch to release the lock was jammed and so were our cars. We called ProLift only to find out the local branch was closed but they have other locations and a corporate office, and we have a Lifetime Warranty. So what clucked go wrong? Then began the run-around. No one at "support" would give me the phone number to corporate. They kept putting me off, meantime our garage is stuck. I spoke to Brooke B. and Jacklyn and received a full of lies email from something called PSB. Operations, all promising to help me out. Nothing. Silence. I finally decided to call a local company and pay out off pocket to get it fixed. The technician informed me that ProLift shorted me a spring (a common practice used by ProLift to save themselves money) and the equipment they put their name on IS NOT there product (see photo). The total to fix my garage was close to $400 and after emailing the invoice to ProLift corporate and sending unanswered email after unanswered email corporate finally responds with a generic letter and a Vanilla gift card for $300, not even covering the total cost of my garage fix. I DID NOT cash the gift card, I turned it down. I found ProLift's 'here take this and go away' offer insulting. Trying to buy me off with a gift card that didn't even cover the cost of my repair, let alone my time and frustration only made matters worse. My advice is to stay away from ProLift, they are a fraudulent company that will say/do ANYTHING to separate you from your money. Their Lifetime Warranty IS NOT covered by corporate and their customer service stinks of excuses and lies to do anything/everything to avoid honoring their warranty. They'll say each office is independently owned and operated to avoid paying out YOUR claim but I can assure you they get a piece of the profit from each location. I can't tell who to use in your area, but I can promise you that you will regret choosing ProLift Garage Doors. The fact they put their name on someone else's product say it all. Stay away from ProLift, keep your money and sanity.
