On a Friday, I cut my palm in the joint where the little finger meets the palm and needed sutures. They took me right in and went to work quickly. The NP evidently had training but little experience; he used two vials of Lidocaine and made 4 injections in my finger and palm and I still wasn't numb. Hurt. Told him just to do the stitches anyway. He first poked me with a suture needle that was too small and it wouldn't come out the other side, then he decided to use larger ones. That was 9 needle sticks into a hand that wasn't numb. By the next evening, the knots on two of the 4 sutures had failed and the stitches came out. Went back in Monday to show them what happened and get a fix; wound now swollen and starting to open back up. Clerk at window totally disinterested in their mess up, saying it would be at least an hour and a half to get anyone to even look at it. I went to the drug store and got steri strips to try to keep the wound from opening more. I won't go back there... read more

Horrible. Signed in at 11:20. Was told it would be 2 hrs. That was not the case. Didn't get back to a room until 4:20. Waited for about 2 hrs to be seen. Will never go back. They schedule about 8 patients in one hour. That does not work. Front desk was friendly. PA was friendly. but the staff ?! read more

Went to this urgent care sick, I was the first person there and still waited 30-40 min in the room for the PA to see me. From the minute she came In she was so rude that I finally told her I'm here because I'm sick and you don't need to be so rude to me. MD Now has horrible patient scheduling. First their system assumes the clinic can handle a patient every 10 minutes. When you make an appointment if there are 17 patients ahead of you they'll give you an ESTIMATED appt 170 minutes ahead. Then they'll keep notifying you of a later time. When they tell you to come in for the estimated time you'll find yourself way down the list. Maybe the main problem is the scheduling system assumes there are 2 medical professionals serving the patients when there is only one work. This was confirmed by a nurse I complained to. My visit on 2/6/2025 was my last. read more

MD now Largo Florida 2 men came into the lobby while I waited 45 minutes for a drug test. One had chest pains and had to wait at least 30 minutes to pay upfront first to see someone. Second came in staggering and asking for stitches on his forehead. He said he had a head to head collision. No concussion questions were asked except do you have a concussion? Of course he said no and was told to drive to the er!! The receptionist obviously has no medical training g and that is unacceptable if they are triage. Shocking service and shockingly bad set up, no real triage and no urgency whatsoever. read more

I went in on a holiday due to extreme pain from an abscess. I had Jose and Alyssa on day one. They were amazing. Great bedside manner, kept me laughing through one of the worst pains i've experienced. Scheduled me for a follow up where i had Jose and Tara. My second experience was quick and also amazing. Both times I was heard and taken care of. 10/10 would recommend this MD Now again. read more

Okay...so we entered and the lady was straight to the point. My moms English isn't that good but she can manage. We waited about 30-40 minutes but the wait wasn't the problem. The lady that does the drug test was really rude and was very suggestive. It felt as though she was racially profiling my mom. My mom said she felt uncomfortable and the lady was making it seem as thought she was a drug addict and she was on trial or something. You don't treat people like that and think it's okay. She was asking weird questions about the address on my moms license because my mom doesn't have it memorized because we haven't lived there in 3 years and my mom hasn't updated her address yet. My mom was very confused and didn't know how to answer. I didn't like that she went through that and I wanted to share it because she's shouldn't abuse her supposed "authority " to intimidate people. read more

The on-line registration process is deceptive. It says something like "check in on-line, wait anywhere, and we'll tell you when to come in, all to reduce your wait time." I checked in on-line, and waited for the text message to come in. Upon arrival, I was told the wait was an hour. WTF? read more

With only one other patient in the waiting room, my mom waited over an hour. Not their fault though, I suspect this place is understaffed. Once we got in, it was very quick to get diagnosed and meds. 3 stars because staff was nice and it isn't their fault there wasn't enough staff. read more

Receptionist is abrupt and uncaring. That travels clear through the entire experience. You're sick as you enter and the last thing you want is someone who speaking so fast you can't hear them or using acronyms as if you're in the medical field and should know what they are talking about. 1st and last time I'll go here. I was given a diagnosis and prescription, when the pharmacist questioned the RX and dose, the PA was off and never returned the call. I don't recommend this urgent care. Another Urgent Care and doctor I showed him the RX and when he saw the RX and agreed with the pharmacist. So look to another care provider, not this one. read more

No one washed hands or used hand sanitizer. There was dirty tissue all over the exam room floor. The CNS had fake long nails which is huge violation in health care. The receptionist refused to help this poor woman that was in so much pain and couldn't take pictures of her ID and insurance card. Do not be fooled by "pre registration" and "web check in" you still have to go in and join the queue despite verbage from texts that state "we will notify you when it is time to come in" and their website that states "Use Web Check-In® on any device to tell us you're coming and how we can provide you with high-quality healthcare. You'll be notified when it's time to come in so you can wait anywhere that's convenient for you." I waited 5 hours from home waiting for a text to then call and have them tell me this isn't the case and I still would have to come in and wait an additional 2 hours. read more

Signed up twice and both times they said "oh you didn't finish the process." Even though I have a text saying "thank you for completing the process." On June 26, 2024 I became ill two days after arriving in Cape Coral. When i started looking for an emergency care facility that was in network with United Health Care I turned to MD Now Urgent Care that turned out to be anything but! The log in and sign up procedure was completely deceptive. They made it sound like you would be taken in order and that you would be able to come in and be seen, but when you get there you are told that you did not complete everything and that you need to take a seat. I waited an hour and one half to see a doctor. The front desk staff was polite and helpful, but that was the end of the positive part of my experience. After waiting for a very long time, I was called back to see the doctor. He did not introduce himself or even provide a name. He went right into my symptoms and appeared to have already made a snap judgement. I was basically "Man Shamed" for making a big deal out of a cold and I was told that "unfortunately, we have not found a cure for the common cold". He performed a Covid test while telling me he was going to "pick my nose.". I was not in the mood for lame humor. After the test was performed the doctor did not return to the room I was waiting in. Instead, he sent a male nurse to give me the result of my test that was reported as negative. I was then told that I should just go to Walmart and get some over the counter medicine and go home. When I complained about the level of care and said that I wanted excellent care as advertised, the nurse responded, " that is what you are getting. I took your blood pressure and listened to your breathing!". What a joke. I did finally get him to prescribe a syrup that was for allergies and he acted like he had done me a big favor. I never saw the doctor again, nor did he speak to me as I left. The bottom line is that after suffering for an additional week I went to the Gulf Coast Medical Center and got the care that I was looking for. I was diagnosed with Covid. Unfortunately, I had become much more ill by that time. I wondered why a beautiful facility like the MD Now center could get two stars? Now I question how they got one? read more

Incompetent. Went in there with Covid/flu symptoms, I asked for them to take a strep test, a flu test as well as covid Test. The nurse told me she would . I got the Covid results back (negative) but have been waiting for the results for 4 days for the flu. Called the desk 3 times to get 3 different answers from each, this last answer was told to me that because I didn't have a fever at the time of the test they didn't feel the flu test was needed. The nurse never said that to me in the room she told me she would give me the test . I needed them for work. The fact that they decided on their own that I didn't need it, when I the patient asked for it, is incompetent in my eyes. They could be sending a lot of sick people out of that office because they don't want to do their job that our insurance or self is paying for . read more
