If you're reading reviews you're likely shopping for a medical provider. Lee Health has served me…read morewell, particularly Dr. Fraga, my primary care physician. With a shortage of MDs in Florida, you may have to book an appointment well in advance. In the interim you can schedule with a physician's assistant, likely at a different location. (Lee Health has facilities throughout town.) Dr. Fraga is competent, proactive and thorough. She is easy to work with, and easy to talk to, quick to respond to messages sent on My Chart. Lee is part of the Epic System, with records accessible to Epic providers throughout the country. ( The network facilitates continuity of care and should be mandatory everywhere. Unfortunately, it's not.) I'd also like to give a shout-out to the on-premises lab. It's efficient and well run. Walk-ins welcome, frequently with minimal wait.

So I tried calling my ophthalmologist. The message said to leave a message or call the Dr. directly. I did both and nobody called me back. So I got up early today and tried the office again, even though I doubted they would be there. Next, the primary doctor. They had a service call but I decided to go to Lee Convenient Care instead. By the time i got there the other eye was just as red. Check in was a breeze and the friendly receptionist made me feel more relaxed. I was called in by the nurse literally 20 minutes after arriving. I explained my problem and another young woman did a Covid, Flu etc. swab in a jiffy. The nurse practitioner came in and was so kind and listened to want was bothering me. She wrote two scripts and hopefully that will get me feeling better. Kind, caring and total reassuring was my experience this morning at the convenient care. I didn't get into all the gritty details, but wanted to share my positive experience with you! Thank you Lee Convenient Care and happy Holidays!

Tried following steps for express check in to avoid waiting too long as mentioned by another yelp reviewer but the text express check in has been abolished. So I took a chance on a Wednesday mid afternoon is West Cape. How busy could it be. Wait time was more like an ER unfortunately. Check in filling out forms (already been there in the past so records are there but because it had been a few years I had to do everything all over). Got there around 12:30 and was finally out the door around 3:15pm. That's almost three hours. A little long for a walk-in clinic that's supposed to be faster and supplemental to an ER. Overall not bad but the wait was killer.

PRO TIP: To get in fast, use their Check-In Express from home (otherwise you will wait a very long…read moretime). Here are the instructions: for the Cape Coral location, text "3333" to 239-330-2654 and enter your name; for the Estero location, text "2273" to the same number. They will then text you when they're ready for you. I think many people are starting to use this, however, so the wait times might still be typical of other walk-in clinics. I initially did not know of this, and ended up waiting a little over 1.5 hours before asking how many people were ahead of me. I was blown away when the receptionist said "10" (because I had been waiting so long, and many more people seemed to come in after me), but she explained the Express Check-In system being responsible for the wait, and said I could go home and rest and give them a call in 2 to 2.5 hours. I did this, and they said I'd be next in line as soon as I came back. Indeed, I was seen within a few minutes the second time, and was really impressed with the level of care, efficiency, and thoroughness of the employees in the back. I didn't have to wait long at any point once I got into the back. They tested for three separate potential illnesses, instead of just prescribing a "ballpark" remedy and having me be on my way. Every person I interacted with went "above and beyond" to help me and ensure my comfort--the nurse gave me some Gatorade (a choice of flavors), and another helped me keep my robe closed in back after my chest x-ray in common areas. They were very sweet, caring, and comforting, and I just got the sense that everyone really cared. The front desk receptionists were also very polite and helpful. I went to pick up my prescription after leaving, but my pharmacy was closed (contrary to what its online hours said). I called up the clinic 30 minutes after close to see if there was anyone there who could transfer the scrip to a different clinic, but really wasn't expecting them to answer. Sure enough, however, they answered, and were happy to help (even recommending a nearby 24-hour clinic). I can also say I think the employees are very hard-working in general at this clinic, and truly care about the patients they serve. Overall, I will definitely go back for any future needs, but I'd recommend using Express Check-In at the first idea of wanting to go in, because it will likely be a few hours at least before you'll be seen.

While the facility may not scream state of the art, the solid customer service, professional and courteous staff, efficiency, and overall great medical care make this facility worth driving out of our way for.
