Awful experience. Felt like a car dealership where the front desk wouldn't give me any information without a $450 scan to show exactly what my dentist had already showed me on my X-rays. I can not recommend Dr. Moshrefi and his office enough! He did an amazing job repairing the damage from a botched gum recession surgery by a different periodontist. After that original experience, I was frankly traumatized and nervous to go in and have the damage repaired. But Dr. Moshrefi was patient and skillful. The surgery which took 3 hours at the other periodonist's office took just 1 hour 15 minutes at MD Periodontics. His staff was professional, efficient, and kind. Very simple process to start as a new patient and schedule an appointment initially and I have been going here for a few years now. The care is quality - it's a very well run place both in terms of schedule, treatment, and things like billing and insurance. Getting your teeth cleaned is somehow a pleasant experience and they do a thorough job of cleaning as well checking the health of your gums and mouth as well. Also they are very responsive to questions and do a good job of explaining treatments/etc. Also I don't think I've waited more than maybe 5 minutes or even seen another person waiting at the same time as me which helps everything move along quickly while also not feeling rushed. Other doctors should take notes on how they manage their scheduling because they're doing it right. read more

Dr. Moshrafi and MD Periodontics are the best hands down. I had a pretty extreme procedure needed to be done to my jaw and teeth and Moshrafi made me feel the safest out of any surgeon I've ever had. He tells you your options, gives you time to understand, teaches you at the same time, and the whole time you feel like your friend is taking care of you. During procedures he makes sure with every step he takes he asks and makes sure you are not in any physical pain. If he sees you in stress he helps calm you down and get through it. He just is flat out an amazing doctor. I mean he even calls you on his own time to check in and make sure you're ok and if there is any discomfort and what to do. I am a huge dental chicken and when I was told what I need to get done, I was extremely scared but because of him, I was able to get through everything with ease. I can't recommend Dr. Moshrefi enough - one of the best experiences I've had with a doctor ever. He did an excellent job on my gum grafting surgery and was kind and gentle in the process. The overall experience was FAR less traumatic than I was expecting, and due in large part to Dr. Moshrefi's expertise and finesse. He took my calls after hours and on the weekend when I had concerns about my stitches and even offered to see me on a Saturday! Everything has healed beautifully and I had very little pain overall. I do have good dental insurance, but the cost was also much lower than I was expecting. Overall I had an A+ experience with this office and with Dr. Moshrefi - highly recommend! read more

I first went in to see Dr. Moshrefi for some on and off soreness around my upper left tooth and a bubble/pus that would come and go in my gum. The front office staff was attentive to my request to be seen as soon as possible and went out of their way to make sure my transition into their practice was smooth and simple. They checked my insurance info prior to my arrival and when I arrived it only took a few minutes for me to be seen by Dr. Moshrefi. Their office is beyond modern...it is the cleanest and most high tech office I have ever been to. Dr. M. assessed my situation by examining me and taking some digital xrays. They even took a digital scan of my mouth, to create models of my teeth (will explain that later). It was determined that I had a fractured tooth that was causing the on and off infection in my gums and the soreness I was feeling. They used the digital scan of my mouth to make a copy of my tooth and used that as a temporary when my tooth was removed. The procedure was quick and painless and Dr. M's bedside manner was professional and very kind. He provided me his direct mobile number so I could reach him at any time with questions and checked on me the night of my procedure. Best of all, so far NO PAIN. I will be having an implant placed in a few months and can't wait to see the final result. I hope the details in my review are helpful to others seeking treatment. I was referred to Dr Moshrefi for periodontal work from my dentist, Dr. Aguil for some work that I had been putting off. I have nothing but rave remarks for Dr. Moshrefi and his wonderful staff. I had orthodontic treatment when I was a teenager and it caused severe recession specially on my upper teeth. I didn't think the recession was that bad, but it turns out my teeth grafting was overdue and it would be a matter of time I would have to do it sooner rather than later. I reached out to Dr. Moshrefi and his team, since I heard a lot of great feedback from family and friends and it was the best decision! From day one, Lorie (Patient Coordinator) was amazing. She was extremely patient, professional and courteous. She's always willing to go above and beyond her call of duties and makes sure the patient is in good hands. She contacted my insurance company and handled all the administrative and tedious work. Dr. Moshrefi, George (Dental Assistant) and his lovely wife, Dr. Daneshmand made sure I was comfortable from the moment I sat in the chair until the procedure was completed. I am not a big fan of needles at all, but I must say his touch was so light and I didn't feel anything. After approximately 1 hour, the procedure was completed and the grafting procedure was over. Dr. Moshrefi used a new technique, known as Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF), which doesn't require skin to removed from my pallet, but rather he drew some blood and mixed it with collagen and reinjected into my gums. I've never heard of this process, but I am so grateful I went to see him. This process is less evasive and the downtime is less than the traditional grafting process. The procedure itself was better than I expected and the results were amazing. There was a little discomfort but it was worth it knowing my tissue will be reinforced and will protect my teeth. I am extremely happy with the outcome of the procedure and more importantly I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Moshrefi and his team! read more

Great dental office, amazing group of people working together. I had a bad root canal somewhere else and was afraid to have an implant put in after having the tooth finally pulled. Went to see Dr Moshrefi for a ceramic implant-due to Lyme disease I wanted no more metal in my mouth! The anesthesiologist he works with is also lyme aware! Woke up with relatively no pain, I actually felt better overall. I did get an infection due to my sinus cavity MARCONS infection, but was seen right away and once on antibiotics felt amazing. Would recommend to anyone but especially those with autoimmune conditions, Lyme disease etc. Dr Moshrefi listens and explains everything so you understand. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Moshrefi & his staff at MD Periodontics. My 8 year old daughter had to have her first oral surgery ever - a frenectomy (removal of the tissue that attaches between the upper inner lip and the gum line). We went in for our consultation and he immediately made a great impression on her with his kind and professional manor, answering our questions thoughtfully without adding anxiety. When we went in for the surgery, he brought her some daisies (he had been at the flower mart to get flowers for his own daughter's birthday party) and told her he got them because she was such a brave & sweet girl. It was a very thoughtful surprise (who would ever imagine a doctor would take the time to think of that?). The outcome looks amazing & the experience was very positive. I feel like he treated her like she was family. The best thing I can say is my daughter told me that she would do it over again because it was "no big deal". I know she said this because Dr. Moshrefi & his staff gave her great care and did a fantastic job. What more could a parent ask for? read more

Dr. Moshrefi is awesome and I love Lori on staff as well. The whole experience is more professional, friendly and relaxing in comparison to the horrors I have dealt with in the past. They are a bit expensive but work well with Insurance and are open, upfront and honest with pricing and procedural expectations. I had a number of procedures done with MD Periodantics. A couple of years ago I got a tooth removed and in the last year I have received a gum graft and post insertion. He called and checked up on me throughout the week after procedures and is not only clear and communicative with me but also my surrounding doctors. I've been a patient of this office for 8 years. I have a genetic bone disorder that has resulted in the loss of some of my teeth. I first met Dr. Moshrefi in January 2011 for a consult for two dental implants at the front of my mouth...literally my two front teeth. From the moment I met him and his staff, I knew that I was referred to best periodontist. In fact, my dentist told me that he was referring me to the best person in this field. He took great care to explain what I would be going through prior to the surgery and that he would take care of treating the bone infection that occurred at one of the implant sites. The surgery went smoothly and after the procedure was done I didn't experience any pain afterwards. I know it's hard to believe that I didn't have any pain afterwards, but it's true. Dr. Moshrefi also performed a frenectomy on me a few months after my surgery. I was surprised at how quick and easy the procedure was. There was no bleeding and no pain either. I can't saw enough "great" things about Dr. Moshrefi and his staff. They treat you really well, as if you are family, so take it from me, don't hesitate to make an appointment with Dr. Moshrefi. Dr. Daneshmand was recommended to me by my dentist who I completely trust so I was fortunate to feel comfortable from the start. Her manner is both comforting and confident at the same time. Dr. Danehsmand's recommendations were thoughtful, made carefully and she communicated the issues to me so that I could understand and feel comfortable with her recommendations. I had two procedures within a month. One crown lengthening and a 2nd more involved procedure that included bone grafting. Both were very successful and I hardly felt anything, even after I went home. She also communicated post procedure care and provided me with everything I would need. Her staff is wonderful as well, very friendly and courteous. I saw Dr. Moshrefi a few days ago and I'm extremely happy I did. Called here based on a referral by a colleague, had never been to the office before. They were exceptionally accommodating; gave me a same-day appointment. I came in for a routine cleaning and the doctor ended up finding a few cavities. Rather than forcing me to come back for a deep cleaning and the fillings, they worked with me to find a time that the same day. This was extremely helpful since it's difficult for me to take more than a half-day off work, let alone find another day that could work for me. The doctor was empathetic and careful during the procedures, constantly asking if I was doing okay. I appreciated that. Also, the lady at the front, Lori, is unbelievably great. This periodontist is the best doctor I have ever been too. He outdoes any doctor, any dentist, any periodontist. He makes sure you are comfortable the whole time. I am 21 years old and very scared of any dental work. I went in for a deep cleaning and every time he gave me a shot or did anything he walked me through it and wanted to make sure I was comfortable. He is the only doctor I trust. If he told me I needed to remove all my teeth because it would be healthier I would believe him. He makes all my fears of the dentist go away. He doesn't just say hello, fix you up, and then forget about you. He genuinly wants your gum's to be healthier and he really cares about you. The receptionist is also amazing. She is so kind. I got into a car accident and couldn't make an appt so I left her a message to tell her I couldn't make it and had to reschedule. MD Periodontics is as good as it gets. I had a failed tooth which had to be extracted, followed by a bone graft, but I was unhappy with the oral surgeon who did the work. Then I met Dr. Moshrefi, who performed the artificial implant work. I also referred my 90-year-old mother to him following my excellent experience.
