As a bride on a budget, I really appreciated how Anna worked with us to make arrangements that were both beautiful and reasonably priced. For instance, instead of purchasing an entire new arrangement for our sweetheart table, Anna was able to repurpose the flowers in our ceremony. We were going for a palm/beachy theme for our wedding and Lush Celebrations gave us paradise. The centerpieces were stunning! On four of our tables, there were huge palm frond arrangements that brought the ballroom to life. Lush celebrations did a wonderful job using both candles and water features to accompany some of the smaller flower arrangements. Their use of driftwood on the tables was the perfect touch to our theme. My husband's aunt was a florist for over 30 years and even she was blown away by our centerpieces. She told us that they were some of the best centerpieces that she's ever seen. My favorite arrangement was by far my bouquet. It was everything I asked for and more. First off Avant DJs has an extremely efficient team and online system. Communication was clear from start to finish and I received lightning fast replies from Shanitra. Your entire account and forms are put online, as well as timelines and song lists. As a hands-on bride I LOVED this interface because it gave me the chance to customize it as the months went on. If you have a planner he or she will really dig it, too. Face-to-face meetings are great but when it comes to picking music it's a process and I was grateful for this excellent feature. Once I was put in touch with Darron it got even better. Darron was kind and professional. We had a face-to-face a month out where we went over everything and addressed our concerns. We had a pretty non-traditional wedding and skipped out on the announcements/dances/flower toss, etc and he was extremely supportive. He set up a Google Drive so the groom and I could drop off specific songs into folders-if you don't have one of those with your DJ get one NOW because it's WAY better than CDs and jump drives for both parties involved. Avant DJs provided me with something that became one of my favorite things about my wedding day. Our music selections screamed "us" and everything was perfect. Our ceremony was crystal clear thanks to the mic! Our music had clean transitions (Darron went the extra mile by adjusting BPMs and fades to make the track changes even more subtle) and people were drunkenly dancing. The area where you walk in was a complete disaster, it looked like a construction zone. She called frantic, and I told her not to worry- Tony's got this (and crossed my fingers). Everything was phenomenal. All my wife's tiny personal touches came to life with Tony's over-the-top pomp and show. The reception room was magical. A few things that went wrong: 1- one of the boutonnieres fell apart and there was no replacement 2- there were supposed to be two floral crowns - one was never taken out of the box 3- My wife and I chose blue flowers- Tony suggested some pink for a "pop" of color- we agreed and the room was full of pink flowers - and not very many blue at all... One thing that every bride should remember is to ask for a throw away bouquet during the bouquet toss. My wife forgot- threw her own, and the girl who caught it -well she never gave it back of course. So- don't make this mistake ask for a throw-away bouquet. We had to have a second bridal bouquet made for pictures a few days after the wedding- we called Tony and explained that the photographer was taking us to the park- and he made another one up for us no problem.
