This little water town has really cool events year-round like the Summer Riverfest & Craft show, the Fall Arts & Craft show, the Holiday Market & summer concerts. Occoquan has lots of parks & trial accessible by foot, bike & water. There are also lots of water activities like kayaking. The Town of Occoquan is constantly voted the #1 Tourist Destination in Prince William County each year & I love to get haaappy in Occoquan - any hour - sitting on the riverfront, listening to some live music. Terrible. Took my 7 year old daughter to get her ears pierced. First, the staff member doing the…read morepiercing couldn't find the center of my daughter's earlobes, where the holes should go. We finally got that squared away and pen marks where the holes should be. The piercer goes in for piercing number one... and gets her GLOVE stuck in with the earring, and then rips it out, pulling my daughters' ear along with it. I figure it's just terrible luck so I let her go for number 2. She pierces the second ear and says "OOPS!"-- the piercing was NOT on the mark where the center of the lobe should be. Now my daughter is panicking and crying because the piercer is very anxious, and offers to re-do the piercing on the spot because, she is so sorry that she "screwed it up." Try convincing a 7 year old that they need to have the second botched hole RE-pierced! It didn't happen, so we paid a crap ton of money (but don't worry, we could come back and have them re-pierced anytime!! HA!) and left with one bloody ear piercing and one uneven ear piercing. Then after we followed Claire's instructions and were allowed to change the earrings, we couldn't get the new earring in one of the holes, and then couldn't even get the original earring back in. So we let both holes close up because it was too painful to force the one in. Claire's stinks! Burn your money instead.

We were looking for cute items for our mom's upcoming birthday trip. We were fine during our shop but once we went to checkout we encountered a horrible manager. Older Spanish male. He was very short with his staff and customers. An item we had was not price tagged so the mamabger was paged when he came up he seemed annoyed and very rude. He got on the walkie talkie and all of a sudden he had a photo of a price tag on his cell phone and showed it to our mother and said " this is what the item cost" The item was a swim suit skirt cover up. The price tag he showed us was for $40 We knew that couldn't be the price for he item. We asked if they could bring the item to the register. He insisted it was the item. We decided we'd pay for our other items and go downstairs to see the item when we got down there we were correct it was the price of a set. We did not have the set. When customers are given false prices it's not ok. Management should be trained in handling customers with patience and honesty. The staff at this location always have less than friendly attitudes!

I just reminded her that the patrons are how she get paid. She was approaching me like she was going to jump at me as another employee came to stand in front of her. I'm 7 months pregnant I'm not going to fight you if that's what she was thinking. But to be harassed by this obnoxious young lady was disgusting uncalled for behavior.
