On my last visit, I had a wonderful experience with a helpful man who tried to offer me several fruit samples. I felt really bad because I was fasting and couldn't eat them, but I did end up buying some peaches and apples for later. During my current visit, a kind woman was working. I purchased some dried fruit, trail mix, mandarins, and the best red pear I've ever had. The pear was so juicy, sweet, and fresh tasting, it was such a delight! I agree with another review that some of the fruits were past their prime, but I don't think that takes away from the charm of this fruit stand. As someone who doesn't usually carry cash, the only downside for me is the cash-only nature of the business. However, I might be spoiled by my local farmer's market accepting Tap & Pay and Venmo. I love supporting local businesses, especially when the service is so friendly, so I will always stop here when I'm in town.

They are a seasonal vendor at this market, here mainly during the stone fruits and grape seasons. At the peak of summer, I really enjoyed their nectarines which were extremely sweet. Rebecca always made me smile when I paid her... gee, did I really say that?! With the shelter in place on, she almost exclusively works the cashier while the other guys put customers' orders together. Michael has been extremely helpful knowing my demanding requirements in picking my family's fruits. I finally had a chance this summer on a day off to take the 40 minute drive and check it out. I was not disappointed. This is a small but year-round farm stand right off the side of the road with gravel space for cars to park. It is not greatly protected from the elements--and it was a hot hot day. I'm glad to see they at least had a few fans for the employees. The owner regularly works her stand, and when I was there, she offered to cut some fresh herbs or flowers for me while I perused the wonderful assortment of fruits, veggies and local honey. I ended up with some of the sweetest green grapes I've ever tried, a few different honeys to try (avocado and orange blossom), some freshly roasted peanuts, cucumbers, and an assortment of stone fruit. Everything was delicious, but the grapes were my favorite. Check out Sweet Girl Farms on Social media, or check out their website. They are active in the community, help to support other community growers (they even have eggs and other offerings), and enjoy a worthwhile visit to what should soon obtain the title of local treasure. They cracked open with ripeness! There was a really adorable little hay stack enclosed section where they had the larger size pumpkins located. There were corn stalks, small pumpkins, gourds, and a scarecrow. Adorable; my nephew and I had fun picking out a pumpkin in the cordoned off haystack area. They also offer fresh honey, dehydrated fruits, bagged nuts and tons of produce. The woman operating it was friendly and patient with us as we hemmed, hawed and guffawed at the options available. Stop in! It's right off the road with easy parking and easy in/out.
