First, the strong support and encouragements given by teachers and staff. My children know all teachers, and they know them. Everyday they come home to stories about how this teacher helped them this day and another, the next. When we have had issues arise, I have always been impressed by how communicative the teachers have been and how receptive they are to listen to my concerns, and those of my child. It truly has been a loving environment from day one. Second, tying to the support and encouragement, I have seen amazing academic results each year because of teachers taking the time to address individual needs and work with my children. My children feel confident when it comes to learning and have been well prepared when it's come time to take tests. Third, I love the fact my kids are growing in their Catholic faith through partaking in community service, attending mass weekly, and daily religious instruction. I feel confident that they are becoming good stewards of their faith and better and more compassionate human beings because of it. Lastly, I love the sense of community. Parents and students alike enjoy spending time at the school and school functions. The smaller class sizes facilitates getting to know each family and it also encourages and enables any and everyone to be involved with the school. Before enrolling we visited 6 other facilities and we chose TC over all of them. Our oldest daughter is part of a group of kids at TC which have been together since they learned to speak. When she started school , she was far ahead of the curve and helping other students to learn the material and has since tested as gifted. The TC staff clearly prepared her well. Our kids have never said bad things about TC, the staff has always been flexible and understanding with our family's needs. 2020 Covid introduced pure chaos to everyone and TC quickly established a plan for remote sessions so the kids could see and talk to their friends and teachers. It was difficult for everyone, reviews criticizing the covid period should be taken lightly. The summer camp program is fantastic and on many days the kids do 2 different activities which is above and beyond the summer camps we are looking at joining in our new city. We will greatly miss the people, teachers, and students at TC in our new city. We wish we could take TC with us as the only reason we are leaving this center is because we have been relocated to a new city.

My child completed their preschool experience with strong pre-academic and spiritual foundations. The administrative staff, preschool teachers, specials teachers (e.g., Spanish, P.E. instructors), and aftercare teachers are top notch. My child attended full day preschool as a 3-year-old and again as a 4-year-old. We were so impressed that we had no qualms about continuing enrollment in kindergarten at Central College Christion School. The preschool team is kind, courteous, and conscientious. The director and program coordinator have an open-door policy and welcome parent collaboration. There are many parent volunteer activities, as well as school-sponsored events during evening and weekend hours to give working parents an opportunity to be a part of the preschool community. At Central College Preschool, diversity is celebrated, and it was reassuring to see students and staff from diverse backgrounds represented. Central College Preschool (and the elementary school) is a gem! It is so much more than a school; it's a family.

Their curriculum is below the standard of most preschools in the area, and quite frankly I'm not sure what the kids do do all day. They do have an app where you can see what your kids have been doing all day, which would be great, but they write the same things for every kid throughout the day. Most days my kid took 2 hour naps... nope, my child never took one. Also never ate the food they said my child ate, and when my kid would bring home worksheets, I came to find out those were not completed by my child either, but by the teacher. They carry on sensitive and private conversations about children amongst themselves in the middle of the lobby/ entryway and would tell me how "bad" my child was each day at pickup right in front of my child, not to mention the other parents and children I noticed a decline in my child's confidence and self esteem in the time he attended this school, and it makes me sick that I didn't associate the 2 sooner. My child was constantly told he was bad, and towards the end of our time there, he would cry on the way to school because he hated going. He would beg me to let him stay home. And the organic cuisine they brag so much about? it's nothing more than generic packaged food that they try to make sound better than what it really is. You'd be better off buying it yourself for half the price. There are so many wonderful daycares in the area, do not choose this one, you will be very disappointed. They may look good on paper, (arguable), but they truly do not care about your children at all, it's solely 100% about how much money they can get out of you. (As long as your child is an easy and never poses any type of challenge for them.)

So lets start with the facility. The building is very odd and was clearly not designed to be a day care center. You have to walk through classrooms to get to some of the other, and the office is just a desk at the entrance of the building. One of the biggest red flags to me while my child was enrolled here was the constant turn over. Just looking back through my emails in the short window of 6 months that my child was enrolled I received around a dozen emails regarding staffing changes. Sometimes it was the hiring of 1 individual or an email letting us know that 2, 3, or 4 teachers had left at a time. The turn over was so bad it made retail and fast food look like they have good staff retention. Next up, inconsistent communication or just flat out lies. There were several times where one teacher would say something, another something else, and the director would completely contradict everyone. This happened on multiple occasions. One of the more disappointing ones was and issue being able to get my child on a bus for preschool. We had to jump through several hoops and work very hard to get our child into the preschool program that we were very excited about through Olentangy Schools regarding speech delays. The months, weeks, and days leading up to him beginning this program we were assured by almost everyone on staff that there would be no issue getting him on or off the bus. Suddenly after about a week of him being in the program Barrington suddenly didn't have enough staff to be able to get him on the bus in the morning, even though we were given countless assurances. This is just one of many instances. TLDR: They seem to struggle keeping adequate staffing, they can't communicate properly, and they will go back on their word and act like it's your fault.

Our children especially love the summer program put on by the entire staff which is in a word 'Epic'. The school it's self is decorated in a way that our children are constantly finding something new on the wall paintings. Our children are sure challenged and the use of the Tadpoles system keeps up in constant contact with the teachers at the school and our children's progress. This is definitely a "school" as opposed to a daycare, when we moved our children here we saw and almost immediate difference in their vocabulary and skills. The parents are also very involved at the school which is a huge plus for us as it show a more community effect for which we are thankful for. If you so choose to enroll your children at the Worthington Goddard I believe that you will be happy that you did. The cost is only slightly more than we paid before but is well worth the value that you get when it comes to your child's education. At Worthington Goddard our children are definitely getting off on the right foot.
