My recommendation would be to pull your child before having them attend here for preK, as your overall experience would likely be okay (though teacher turnover in all rooms has not been great over the last year and a half).

They have taught me so much about how to deal positively with conflict, emotional and behavior issues in my own kids. The kids get lots of outside time, do field trips, and have classrooms where they are encouraged to develop lots of different skills in an age-appropriate way. Parents are encouraged to be involved in one of many events throughout the year including a carnival, halloween party, and things co-sponsored with the church in which the center is housed. We even attended a parenting skills class taught by some of the senior instructors at the center and learned a lot. Kids can sign up for optional activities like yoga, music or dance classes. They also offer week-long summer camps. Unfortunately Clintonville has far too few childcare facilities, so there is a waitlist for the full-time program. Sign up before you need it, or enroll in the part-time program while you wait. Openings in the summer and after school programs go first to current students/siblings/former students, so going there for preschool is a good way to get your foot in the door if you are looking for options once they are in elementary school.

We have not been disappointed. Our children thrive academically. They also have the opportunity to be in the band, play three different sports (lax, basketball and soccer) throughout the year without worries of being cut from the team (Wellington has a "no cuts" policy) and they can be in theater productions. Wellington encourages diversity in student interests and demonstrates its commitment to diversity in its teachers and in the students it accepts. Wellington parents are friendly, involved and welcome at Wellington. While some schools emphasize "rigor," Wellington seeks "engagement." Wellington students are engaged, active learners who generally are inspired to learn more, do more. It's an amazing place.

I don't know what in the world is going on. I thought this establishment cared about the LGBTQ+ community. It has signs up that says all are welcome. Welp. It's not true! I mean. It's definitely better resources than we get on the West Side. Over here everyone just wants us not to exist in life.
