I needed to use the restroom and although there were medical staff doing nothing and standing right there looking at me, no one would help me all I needed was a wheelchair. That went on for seven hours. After this happening, a tech was supposed to take me in for an MRI. He didn't want to do it. I could hear him trying to get others to do it or to come with him. ( I'm pretty little and not that difficult to deal with ) I heard someone saying "Sharon likes falling down" and others laughing ( maybe because I had been in for falling before ? )Due to my thought process this was a really scary time for me. Between the staff in the waiting room the tech for the MRI and the other staff thinking my falls were something to be laughed about they were very unkind and unprofessional. I do have to say that the Doctors were always great. And once I was taken up to the 6th floor I have nothing but good to say the Doctors Nurses CNA's everyone I encountered were always professional kind and caring.

The case manager does not know anything and haven't been able to help. I called to have my mom changed and waited over 30 min before asking again. The nursing staff is very rude and not helpful. No one wants to do their job here and I have to come everyday to make sure they are taking care of my mom...im so frustrated with this hospital... On a good note the GI and Cardiologist were amazing and made sure I knew what was going on...

Loma Linda Hospital trades heavily on its legacy and branding, but once you move past the façade, what you encounter is a system startlingly out of step with modern medical standards. The protocols feel outdated, the equipment feels dated, and the bedside manner if one can even call it that often borders on indifferent. Many other reviewers have noted the same pattern: long stretches of neglect, staff who seem inconvenienced by the presence of patients, and a pervasive sense that efficiency and compassion are optional add-ons rather than core values. My experience aligned with those concerns far too closely. One of the most telling examples is their approach to patient comfort. In 2026, most reputable hospitals use variable-pressure, inflatable beds designed to prevent pressure sores and reduce pain. Loma Linda, astonishingly, does not. Instead, they wedge rigid, diamond-shaped foam blocks under patients' backs devices that feel more like medieval orthopedic experiments than modern medical supports. Numerous reviewers have complained about this exact issue, and it's not hard to understand why. It's painful, unnecessary, and emblematic of a facility that has not kept pace with basic patient-care standards. What's worse is the attitude that accompanies it. Patients are often treated as burdens rather than human beings in distress. Several reviewers describe being ignored for hours, spoken to curtly, or dismissed outright when expressing discomfort. That was my experience as well: a sense that the staff had grown numb to suffering, or simply stopped caring about it. Loma Linda's reputation may rest on decades of history and a veneer of moral authority, but reputation cannot substitute for empathy, modern equipment, or competent patient-centered care. Eventually, every one of us will face a moment of vulnerability in a hospital bed. One can only hope that by then, the people running this institution will have rediscovered the basic humanity that seems to have slipped through the cracks.

Unfortunately, my visit this morning with the gynecology department was very disappointing due to the staff member who brought me back for my appointment. From the moment she called my name in the lobby, her tone and bedside manner were rude and dismissive. When my husband stood up to come with me (as I wanted him present during my appointment), she spoke to him instead of addressing me and simply said she would be taking me back first, offering no explanation. When I asked if he could join later, she responded in a snappy tone without providing any information about the process. Once in the room, she repeatedly asked why I was there, even after I explained that I had a Pap smear scheduled. She then told me I was not within the correct timeframe to receive a Pap smear and that my insurance likely would not cover it. This was confusing since my previous records had not yet been transferred. The conversation involved a lot of back-and-forth questioning and felt very disorganized and unprofessional. Because of the uncertainty she created, I ultimately left the appointment. I had taken time off work and driven all the way to the office only to be told the appointment likely should not have been scheduled. To make matters worse, while I was already halfway home, the same staff member called me back to say she had reviewed my chart again and realized that I actually was within the correct timeframe for the Pap smear. At that point I was already on my way home. She offered to reschedule, and when I said I would call back later, she abruptly hung up. This was extremely frustrating and disappointing. Clear communication and professionalism are especially important in women's health settings, and unfortunately that was completely lacking during this visit. My husband works in the medical field at a local hospital and witnessed how rude this lady was in person and on the phone. Bedside manner is extremely important to us and this lady should not be working here.

Let me tell you now I AM NOT associated with this medical practice, I have no family nor friends that are associated or know anybody who is. My only experience with this place is that Dr Shalaby was and is my primary care doctor. Something u should know: Dr shalabys office is in Hemet , I moved out of Hemet in 2022 to Fontana approx 45 mins drive. I will not consider getting any other doctor. My wife and I both adore this kind gentle experienced and knowledgeable medical doctor. He says what he knows and he knows what he says. He has expertly cared for my entire family since 2018 and even after our move we will drive the 45 minutes for him. He DOES NOT just treat you, he heals you with I er to+ years experience and has NEVER had a bad review of mad or even a blemish on his record. He is a great man and an even better doctor. It took my breath away and . Made my heart hurt when I looked here right now and seen somebody complaining about the service at this office and had the nerve to mention Dr shalaby when Dr shalaby has NEVER had a negative thing to say. Negativity isn't even in his vocabulary. He can make anyone smile and if ur having a bad day all you need do is make a Drs appt and I'll guarantee u he can pull u out if it. Ok I'm rambling now but I just want to make sure my point is crystal clear. I will attest to it and I will stand by every word I speak when it comes to Dr mohsen shalaby. He is the greatest Dr in southern California ON EVERY LEVEL. He has cured every ailment I have had since 2018 and the ones he couldn't......, he texted me to another great Dr that met his standards AND MINE. So long story short, if somebody has something bad to say about Dr shalaby

Let me paint a picture: You book an appointment for 3:00 PM, arrive early at 2:45 PM, get called back right on time, and then... you sit. And sit. And sit. For 50 minutes. When the doctor finally walks in, he's already rushing you out the door, saying he has "other patients to see." I came in with five things to discuss--legitimate concerns, not small talk. By the time I got to concern #2, he was already pushing me to wrap it up. I politely pointed out that if I could wait an hour for him, he could wait five minutes for me. That didn't sit well with him. From that moment on, everything I said felt completely dismissed. This wasn't just one bad visit--it felt like a pattern of rushed, impersonal, and dismissive care. And based on other reviews, I'm not alone in that experience. So, if you enjoy long wait times, rushed visits, and a doctor who seems uninterested in what you have to say, this is the place for you. But if you prefer a doctor who listens and takes your concerns seriously, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. As for me? It's time to take my care elsewhere... to a doctor who actually listens.
