The entire physical therapy team were great. Maureen, the occupational therapist assistant, was the most caring, positive and thorough . She was the only one who started me on Diathermy first, and she was spot on using that therapy on me! Nurse Evanie, who distributed meds was so cheery, kind and professional. She listened to my needs and acted promptly! I never waited long. The facility is kept super clean and maintenance crew like Hilda, Pedro and Lu Lu entered the room without loud chatter and were respectful and considerate of my needs to not have strong cleaners on the floor due to my respiratory condition. This place is not the modern remodeled kind but the care and cleanliness really matters a lot. The food was mostly very tasty. They happily substituted anything on the menu. The only change I would like to see is syrup without high fructose corn syrup and creamer without artificial ingredients If I didn't mention all staff by name, I still thank everyone for making my difficult time a little easier. Your entire nursing team on Station 2 where I was located was so welcoming and helpful to a new and extremely anxious arrival like myself. I must give special mention to CNAs Veronica and Alma with whom I spent the majority of my time. They were always attentive and cheerful when I needed it most. Assistant Director of Nursing Mike Lamb also went out of his way to assist me when I had questions or concerns about my situation. The Physical Therapy team was fantastic in their approach to my healing. Primarily led by Ted and Jurbee, my PT sessions became the best part of my day. Their expertise and advice produced immediate results and made me feel much more confident in my ultimate recovery. Finally, your Administrative team- Meredith Shipley, Erin Hickey and Crystal Islas provided the patient related information I needed to relieve undue stress from the moment I was admitted to the day of my release. Again, special mention to Erin and Crystal for their efficiency. Both went above and beyond to assist me with scheduling doctors appointments and home nursing follow-up. As I am facing additional surgery there is a good chance I will be admitted to rehab again within the next few months. I will be sure to specifically request your facility. Everyone on the staff was radiating positive and high energy and the residents seemed to be enjoying themselves and having a good time. I am impressed every time I visit here. The facility is clean and the staff is beyond comparison. They seem genuinely concerned about the wellbeing of the patients. It sometimes feels like a family atmosphere where everyone knows each other, including the patients. There are many students that work here as part of their nursing program so there never seems to be a shortage of help. I have visited patients at many skilled nursing facilities, and I find this one to be one of the best. The only downfall is it is an older facility and could use a facelift.

We could NEVER get ahold of the nurses station, but when I would be there the RN would be sitting on her personal phone on Facebook. She developed multiple bedsores while there. And that's not even everything that was wrong with place. If you have the option to have yourself or a loved one in any other facility I would recommend never sending them to Menifee lakes. There were 2 CNAs we worked with occasionally that seemed to genuinely care, but other than that the experience was absolutely dreadful and made the already devastating process of losing a loved one even more stressful. I spotted senior living staff at every corner. There's a set of apartments for independent residents who need minimal help and a more hands-on quarter with 24/7 assistants on site. The quality of care is solid, it's a popular choice for many seniors in Hemet. Elevators are accessible, the food's good, and there's even an underground parking garage. My primary issues were the odors in the apartments. I don't think the floor is properly mopped. Someone needs to come in and Lysol the joint. Additionally, some of the CNA's in the apartment section were borderline grumpy. Customer service needs a vibe check stat. Type of care: Dressing, bathing, feeding, etc. it's a Swiss-army knife of a facility not too far from the Hemet Hospital.

My mom had been living in a large assisted living facility in another county. She had been…read moredeclining cognitively since contracting Covid-19 in January 2021. She saw a neuropsychologist and after extensive testing was eventually diagnosed with major neurocognitive disorder (dementia) related to multiple factors. Her facility did not have a memory care unit and my wife and I had previously discussed moving her closer to us in Riverside County. I also wanted mom to live in a facility with a smaller number of residents and higher staff ratios than her large facility. My neighbor's late husband had resided at ICC some years ago and she was always pleased with his care in their memory care unit. After researching and doing some homework, we contacted Luz Rodriguez in ICC's marketing office. We met with Luz , discussed all our concerns and questions about whether ICC would be a good fit for my mom. Luz was wonderful and reassuring. From our initial meeting with her in late June, we assembled the required paperwork and necessary forms. A nurse from ICC went down to my mom's then-facility and assessed her as appropriate for their memory care unit. We moved my mom in on July 17th and met the caregiving staff and nurse assigned to her cottage. House manager Bernetta, LVN Daniel and assistant manager Paulina were all so welcoming and accommodating. Luz also was available to assist on a Saturday, and stayed even though we arrived much later than planned. Nurse Hazzel has also been diligent in communicating with mom's primary care physician about any medication changes and adjustments. Mom has been there about two months now and we couldn't be more pleased. She needs assistance with just about all her activities of daily living and staff are very responsive to her needs. Mom is kept clean and dressed appropriately. She is again getting her hair done regularly and even has polish on her nails! Our communication with staff whenever issues arise is first-rate. My wife and I visit unannounced regularly and are always welcomed and treated with respect. There have been some rough spots and anxious moments for my mom, but these have been handled promptly and professionally. Mom is still adjusting and getting used to this new place, routine and faces, but we remain confident that ICC will continue to meet her needs going forward.
